Milo couldn’t process the questions until almost a full minute after they’d been asked. He stared balefully up at Haeleana as a thick clot of blood slid down his brow.

“Yeah, my head,” he answered, as sarcastic as any Hobbit can be with a migraine and head wound.

He wanted to protest and say he wasn’t about to go traipsing off to Gondor. He wanted to exclaim that he was going back to the Shire and never leaving. But deep in his heart, Milo knew this was the start of his own adventure and that he had been sent to this place for a purpose.

“Okay,” he agreed. “But first can you bandage my head, please?”

It all sounded so calm and rational, like having a friend kidnapped, seeing a magician, knocking oneself unconscious, and strutting off to Gondor was a normal day for a Hobbit. Milo would have cackled nervously, but he knew it would hurt his head even more.

“But first can you bandage my head, please?”

"Of course" Haeleana said picking the hobbit up in her arms and carrying him towards the top of Weathertop. She placed him on some flat rocks. She grabbed her backpack of Athelas and pulled out some bandages. She started to wrap the bandage around Milo's head gently. "The wound isn't too deep. We will have to only ride slow to avoid your wound becoming infected or worsened in any way. Unless of course you ride with me. Do you think Sable could make the journey to Minas Tirith?" she asked sitting back.

"It is a good three month or so ride to Minas Tirith. Once we have delivered our news to the King I can return you back to the Shire. Maybe you can map out more of Middle Earth after all" she added thoughtfully.

"I wonder what happened to us during that time. It does not seem comforting that we cannot remember. All the more urgency to go to Gondor I think"

Milo sputtered and protested when Haeleana attempted to pick him up. He may be short, but he was no child, and he was perfectly capable of walking. He turned to the young woman curiously. As most Hobbits were, Milo Brandybuck was rather rotund.

“How in Middle-earth did you do that so easily?” he questioned.

The girl was slender, and although he did not think she was delicate, neither did he think she should have been able to lift him up quiet so easily. His eyes narrowed in on her arms, but there were no bulging muscles to detect under her sleeves.

“I am perfectly capable of riding myself, thank you. Of course Sable can make the journey to Minas Tirith. Ponies are sturdy creatures, much more so than horses.” He shook his head slightly, but it caused a stab of pain to sear through his brain.

Three months. He was going to be gone from the Shire for three months? And who knew what awaited them on the road south. More of the same—strangers with magic and penchants for kidnapping—or even worse.

{OOC: Ah yes i forgot this would be part of her new strength}

“How in Middle-earth did you do that so easily?”

"Men do not find hobbits so heavy to lift" was all she said but she too was wondering why she did not feel the effects of what should have been some sort of strain carrying him to the top. She decided that her rest was responsible for her new found strength. She had to admit she felt much better despite having been unconscious for several hours. She removed her cloak since it wasn't so warm for her at the moment. She did not desire to heat up for no reason. She placed it over Athelas' head. She told the horse to lie down in Elvish before returning to Milo.

"I am sorry you shall be away from your kinsfolk for so long...sorrier still that the journey back will take a further three months but I will do my best to return you as fast as I can" She smiled at the comment about his pony.

"Oh I have no doubt of the sturdiness of ponies. They are a wonderful breed. I was thinking only of his health" she said calmly.

Milo wasn’t sure what to make of Haeleana’s answer. He decided to let the matter drop, if only because his pounding head made it easier not to think. Now that his cut was cleaned and bandaged, there was little reason to stay here on Weathertop.

“Sable is a young pony still. He’ll make it to Gondor and back again.”

Standing up slowly, the Hobbit tested his balance. He was able to walk without trouble. Aside from a splitting headache, he seemed in fine condition.

“Well then, I suppose we should be off on this adventure.”

The next day once she was sure that Milo's head wasn't too badly hurt or infected Haeleana packed their things away, and mounting her own horse led Milo and his pony away from Weathertop. She looked around at the forest around them checking for any sign of movement that she may need to be aware of. Like that figure from last night. She ran her fingers through Athelas' mane soothing her horse. She looked back at Milo with a smile.

"The road is long to Gondor but there is so much to see that it is no bad thing" she said as she started the journey to take them to Minas Tirith
