The smile on her face grew brighter. Her brothers used to tease her sometimes about when she smiled to much. They said it would freeze like that and she would scare everyone away. But, of course, she had found out that was a lie. "I think you are misinformed M'lord." Arwen said through a laugh. "You have a handsomeness about you, and are more heroic than you know." For it was not an easy job to go rushing at the army at the Black Gates knowing that you were out numbered greatly. Yes, she had heard the story, how could she not. Maybe people around the city told stories of the war. And the soldiers that had been with the company at the Black Gates talked as well. "Where abouts are you going up North?" Arwen asked turning her attentions to Haeleana. |

The conversations in the hall lit the place with a fruitful buzzing that was filled by both voice and laughter alike. Gwenneth could only smile at the scene and all of its merriment. The way the people seemed so united as one, so loyal to their King and Queen was a proud thing to behold. She took another few small bites of her meal and then a sip of wine to wash the last bits of it down before she glanced to her side and nodded; "I spend them well, more than content with what blessings I have. Though I dare say most of it is spent on the seventh level of Gondor. Not that the view from here isn't beautiful, I would just like to see more of Gondor one day close up instead of at a distance." Her smile is charming and sweet but very honest. Her respect for Gondor grounded to the very core of her being while it is her heart that sores up above in dreams of far off places and other lands. "I'll also confess that I spend a lot of time studying, my father would tell you that I'm often tucked away in the libraries corner with my nose stuck in a book." - and to this she gives a lilt of laughter, seemingly agreeing with the sentiment in her own humble way. |

"Where abouts are you going up North?" "No further than Bree I think. I have no business going further than that" she said with a small smile. She knew her mother's tribe would probably be staying in Gondor so it would be a long journey on her own but she didn't mind so much. She was used to travelling around on her own now that she was of age. Of course it was quite peaceful exploring the now quiet lands of Middle Earth. "I shall probably stay in Imladris if I do not find much to do up there" she said bashfully. Even though it was peacetime she couldn't stop herself from keeping watch like a Ranger although she was simply a Healer. "I spend them well, more than content with what blessings I have. Though I dare say most of it is spent on the seventh level of Gondor. Not that the view from here isn't beautiful, I would just like to see more of Gondor one day close up instead of at a distance." "Have you ever been to Rohan? Rohan is a beautiful country indeed so wild and unrestrained" she asked Gwynneth her own voice filling with a loving caress as she spoke of the Horse-Men's lands. King Eomer was a lucky man to rule over such a Kingdom. "The woods of Lorien are simply beautiful too." "I'll also confess that I spend a lot of time studying, my father would tell you that I'm often tucked away in the libraries corner with my nose stuck in a book." "I haven't had much time for libraries in my short span" she commented softly. "I spent much of my early life living under the stars" |

A crooked smile came over Aragorn’s lips at Arwen’s words. His good mood could not be held in tonight. “Handsome, I might argue against. But courage, I certainly will not. I have overcome much in my life, though no opponent as formidable as the stunning beauty of the Evenstar. With trembling hands and fluttering heart, I still spoke to her in Lorien.” He leaned over and pressed his lips to her cheek so that the corners of their mouths brushed together briefly. Gwenneth and Haeleana made an interesting pair, the King thought. One perpetually held back, and the other pushed out into the world. These were the people he governed. The Gondorians and Arnorians. Their conversation gave him glimpses into the different lives led by the Northern and Southern kingdom. “One day,” he said, directing this to the whole table, “we all meet for this celebration in Annunimas. It is my greatest hope to rebuild the Northern Kingdom. The North-South road will be repaired, and then the reunification of our kingdom will not only be symbolic, but an actuality.” |

"Father would have loved to have seen that" Haeleana said turning to her mother. "He so wanted to live to see the days renewed." she added as her mum held her hand softly. Haeleana turned away biting her lip slightly to stop the urge to let tears fall. She couldn't help it and it wasn't a moment of random sadness either. Her father had always dreamed of this and longed to survive and the orcs had made sure that he hadn't. Her father had been robbed of this moment and somehow it felt wrong without him. Her mother squeezed her hand and Haeleana pulled it away slowly. "I am fine" she said quietly. "Edro gûr lín" She heard her mother say to her gently. Haeleana moved her head an inch to listen to her mother speak in Elvish to her. "Melin ceni hin lîn síla i 'eladhach" She closed her eyes briefly fighting back the tears. Her mother was so good to her that sometimes Haeleana didn't want her to be. Sometimes she didn't want to be comforted. "Le Melon Naneth" Haeleana said turning to her mother properly. She said this quietly with a forced smile that she knew would please her mother although it didn't reach her eyes. Her mother took her hand nodding. "Le Melon Haeleana" she replied. Haeleana turned back to the table quietly. Translation "Edro gûr lín" - Open your heart "Melin ceni hin lîn síla i 'eladhach" - I love to see your eyes shine when you laugh "Le melon" - I love you "Naneth" - Mother |

Gwenneth's eyes lit up with great surprise and excitement as Haeleana opened up and told her of how she'd grown up under the stars. It was a piece of information that was both baffling and respected from Gwenneth's point of view. "Truly?" She inquires as if she thought she might've heard wrong, "You must share some of your insight then, you must have plenty of stori..." but quickly hushes her questions as Haeleana and her mother share an quiet moment together. Trying her best not to intrude, Gwenneth turns her eyes away and back onto the crowds but the curiousity comes creeping up and she finds herself staring downward at their hands. The mothers so gently enclosed over Haeleana's, the show of love even though Gwenneth can not understand their words. The whole thing is foreign to Gwenneth. The soft touch of a mothers love, her quiet soothing voice. She has often wondered what her mother looked like and except for once her father refused to tell. ~'Turn your eyes away from me child, you've too much of your mother in them. Get out of my sights until dinner!'~ He'd said it to her when she was twelve and angry with her for having tried leaving the seventh level of Minas Tirith. She'd done just what he'd asked, left his side and rushed off to the closest mirror she could find. She'd stood stone still in front of it for hours, just staring into her own gaze and pretending that it was her mother looking back. It had been the first and only gift, Sadorannant had ever given. |

She could not contain the smile that came to her lips at her husband's words. Yes, he had approached her in Lorien. It would be a day that she would never forget because it had changed her life forever. When Haeleana mentioned that she would be going North and probably staying in Imladris Arwen nodded. But she could not stop the homesickness that sat in. It was possible that her brothers would be up there. . Or maybe they were off on whatever adventure that they were partaking in. Not that this feast was not a wonderful event. The whole of the city here to celebrate the wonderful peace that had set upon the world. . A world that was now dominated of men. The Age of Men her father had called it. But for all the peace that they had through the world, Arwen wondered how long it would last. How long until something comes and threatens the peace. . . |

The celebration had lasted long into the night. The stars in the black heavens were growing fainter as dawn lingered along the horizon. Still, the minstrels played a hearty tune and the denizens of Minas Tirith danced and feasted on the many desserts throughout the room. He knew it was because he and Arwen remained at their table. No guest was permitted to leave until the King and Queen departed. Rising from his seat unexpectedly, the ushers were caught unawares. It took only a few seconds longer than usual to quiet the Hall. When the King had the attention of his many guests, he lifted his goblet from the High Table and held it aloft. “A laita te, laita te! Andave laituvalmet! ... Cormacolindor, a laita tárienna!” King Elessar drained his goblet, then rested it on the table, and with regal bearing, departed from Merethrond. Translation: Bless them, bless them! Long shall we bless them! [The] Ring-bearers, praise [them] to the height! |

The gathering had been something like they had not had in a long time. Well, since last year. Infact, something this large, probably hasn't been seen since the coronation, or the wedding of the King Aragorn to the Queen Arwen. She came out of her thoughts as she heard someone mention Rohan. "Tis a beautiful place. Rolling land as far as the eye can see." Not to mention the horses, and the Golden Hall. . The place she had called home, that her brother now rulled in. It was deffinatly a place worth seeing. The hour was drawing late, and yet no one seemed ready to leave. And as the room went quiet she turned her eyes to the King. Raising her glass as he did she listened to his toast. True, she could not understand it, but it sounded so beautiful. Almost melodic. But since Arwen had become Queen, Eowyn had loved listening to her speak. The elven language was just something of beauty, like the elven people. |
