Oh my that does sound well. . . disgusting lol. But I think that does sound like a good way to 'bring the Hand of Sauron' to the attention of everyone. |

Yeah, I know ... I have a thing for the macabre. Since Hand of Sauron is going to announce himself to the world, I thought it was time for him to get a fortress and stop wandering around homeless. I've claimed the Icebay of Forochel (in Arnor) for him. If you post there, it will be the same as posting on the Plains of Gorgoroth when Sauron was in power. So beware of nasty things happening. His fortress is called AtalantĂ«. This is the Quenya word for "The Downfallen" and a translation of AkallabĂȘth. It refers directly to the destruction of Numenor. As Hand of Sauron doesn't remember that part of his life, he doesn't realize where he took the name from or how much he has just revealed about himself. When he announces himself and the name of his fortress it will be very obvious (to anyone with a history education) that he is a Human and a Black Numenorean. ... so let's have fun with this big announcement. |

*snickers* Yes, the murder of crebain would be a very Poe-esque way to unveil the Hand of Sauron. As it is, ta-da, the mage has finally arrived. Everything said in the last four pages sounds good to me. Should we follow up on Milo's run-in with the mage at some point? If he's been running his mouth about it, the Hand of Sauron might have heard and be interested in the Mage's stone. Heather, you already told me that both Milo and the Hand of Sauron are tied up at the moment, but I'm just throwing that out there. Other than that I'm all ears. |

Yes, we should follow up with Milo and the Mage. After Thul-in-Gyrth is taken care of, Milo will be a free Hobbit again. (If he makes it, which isn't clear even to me at this point). On another note, I've been chatting with Mandy tonight and she's had a brilliant idea for Niphredil, who is a wight. For those of you who have not read "Fellowship of the Ring" here is some background on wights:
After Hand of Sauron reveals himself to the world, this symbol popping up across Middle-earth will suddenly make sense. It will be clear that the villain has been at work long before he made himself widely known. If you want to be in on this plot, I think Niphredil will take volunteers :p |

I'm interested in getting my characters involved with the main plot. Thus far, Thorin III has placed heavy restrictions on traffic entering his kingdom in light of the risk of plague, and it is not certain that he will remain as loyal to Gondor's friendship as his father was. After all, he places the wellbeing of his people far above that of anything else, and what he sees as a disease originating with Men might help anyone attempting to deceive him (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). With the right words, etc, he could probably be persuaded to help the Hand (though this would depend entirely on how the Hand went about recruiting his assistance). As for Gamling, he's going to be mostly concentrating on maintaining order in Rohan I suppose; and by the looks of it he's going to be plenty busy with all the people disappearing! But yeah, if anybody has any other ideas and suggestions for how to get my characters involved, please post them! :) |

-jumps in again- Okay. So. I have Lyda too now (YEY! I'M FINALLY HAVING A FEMALE CHARRIE) and she's pretty useful for anything anyone might think of. She's close to Queen Lothiriel, being her Lady-in-Waiting and all... I still have my other three (Elladan, Esril and Morion) to shove into random ideas so if anyone needs a healing elf, a angsty little ranger or a complete psychopath, hit up their accounts. |
