Main Plot: 7 Fourth Age

 Our previous main plot discussion thread was at 10 pages and probably looked pretty overwhelming. Let’s begin fresh as Realm of Arda moves into a new year.

Notices:
  • All characters are now one year older. You can edit your applications to show this, if you would like.
  • It has been 7 years since Sauron was defeated.
  • Hand of Sauron has been known as a rumor for one year.
  • To refer to previous MP discussion, see The Archive.


Reading through our previous discussion thread, I saw a few branches of the main plot that are still unfinished. If I have forgotten any, please post here with additions.

Saruman’s Possessions
  • Servants of the Hand of Sauron will steal some objects formerly belonging to Saruman and plant them inside Minas Tirith and Edoras. Since Orthanc is closed, these items are being stored in Meduseld. Servants will sneak in under false pretenses.
  • This plot involves: 1+ servants of the Hand of Sauron, Lothiriel, Rohirrim, and others interested.


Thul-in-Gyrth
  • Several threads are ongoing. Characters can still become sick or have worsening conditions.
  • This plot involves: All interested


The Cure
  • Diore and Aragorn are currently discovering the cure. After they work it out, a group of volunteers will be sent into Harad to gather the healing herb. We need a solid group of volunteers to go to Harad.
  • This plot involves: All interested.

 The New Year's celebration has begun: And So Comes A New Year.

After a few posts are made and more characters join, then the crebain will appear with a severed hand, as we planned in the last MP discussion.

 Alright, I'm recruiting for a thread (or multiple threads) for Niphredil's countless abductions. Most of the abductee's will be npc's, since once taken they'll be out of commission until they are woken up to become the H.o.S's army.

Niphredil will be taking people of all shapes and sizes. Elves, Dwarfs, humans, you name it. If you have an NPC that you'd like taken, let me know. These people will vanish and reports will slowly start to come more frequently and closer together.

If you're a badie and interested in playing along and accompanying Niphredil, I'd love some evil doers to interact with.

Niphredil will be leaving behind the mark of the HoS on the doors/walls of each of her victims house/home. Potential plot there for investigating the unknown symbol in between the time her abductions start and the time the HoS reveals himself.

The Plot So far:

  • Eryn Silivren will be the first place to be hit. Some of Legolas' friends will be taken.
  • Edoras, in particular Meduseld, will be second. Niphredil will want to introduce herself to Lothiriel more formally. Not to worry, Lothiriel won't be nabbed in this thread.

 Gwenneth: I'll have her reply in the New Years celebration since I need to get her settled up somewhere in plot again. Not sure what good she'll do during the plot but a severed hand is always promising fun. :)

Niphredil: The Wicked Wight's adventure is beginning and I've posted a separate thread to talk about it HERE. So if you're interested, don't be shy. I don't bite, Niph may but I don't!

 I can offer Legolas up to be involved. Perhaps if Niphredil decides to prey on the Eryn Silivren, Legolas would be very intent on finding out the who, what, and why of Niphredil.

I'm pretty much open to any other ideas you might have though.

Also, I offer Legolas up as a collectible item, being that he is pretty and such. =P

Does Legolas have an NPC friend or two that would make for interesting collectibles?

 Bah, sorry for getting back to this late.

How about Legolas's second-in-command of the colony? I'd be more than happy to NPC him for a thread or something, if you'd like.

Okay. Uhm. One day there were two people. Heather and Fran. And during one of Fran's many sugar induced hyper moods, she spammed Heather with loads of PMs and it got onto the talk of..uhm...well...prison! =DDDDDD AND! WITCH HUNTS!

What with Morion's lovely display of insanity in our recent MP thread, there's obviously going to be a few people being dragged off and interviewed and several innocent and not-so-innocent (maybe?) people being accused of having a hand/helping out the Hand of Sauron's plans.

Only. We're not too sure how to begin this lovely...WITCH HUNT within the realms just yet. We want to make it believable, rather than just have random people accused/hauled off to trial. We're also going to need some people to would like to offer their characters up to be in said witch hunt. Believable characters, not royalty, and probably not those within high status. Common folk/loners/etc would be the best offers. >3

I hope I explained everything alright, Heather!
And members. <3 Help? Fran has not had enough sugar to think this completely through. So, I'm calling on you guys to help!
