Eomer pushed the doors to the Golden Hall open with anger. He quickly made his way toward his throne, being followed by several of his guard. He had just been out among the people of city, most of whom would not last the summer at their rate. He came to his throne and took off his cloak and handed it to his guard behind him.

He turned and sat on his throne. He looked at the peoples of his hall, going this way and that, with food and medical supplies. There attempts of a cure was useless, Eomer had since lost hope. He then beckoned a messenger to him. "Ride now throughout Rohan, I want updates on the conditions of my people" he said quickly. The messenger nodded and turned and was off at once.

Eomer went back to pondering. His lands were in turmoil. Orcs were back in his lands, delaying his people to find a home. He was supposed to be rebuilding his kingdom to its former glory, and instead, he found himself in worse shape than when Saruman was at large. He shook his head and clapped a hand to his face.

This plague was ravishing his people. Edoras was almost every elderly person sick and was now beginning to move into the younger peoples. Eomer tried to keep himself protected from it, but a King must not show weakness. He would not hide from this plague, he would embrace it, and wait it out.

Eomer sat, head in hand, pondering the many misfortunes of his people and country for many hours.

The rider had been given a simple task. Deliver the contents of the letter to the King of the Golden hall. The letter was very important. As the hooves of the horse thundered to without sight of the city of Edoras, the rider from Gondor paused for a min. But there was no time for pause now. He had something important to deliver

Spurring his horse on, he rode down into the city and came to stop, dismounting his horse.

"Hold Rider of Gondor, what is your errand?"

"I bring a message from Lord Aragorn of Gondor to the Lord Eomer of Rohan." He held up the parchment that held the message.

Nodding, the Rider of Gondor was allowed entrance to the palace of Meduseld. He saw the King sitting on his throne and bowed low.

"My Lord I am sorry to disturb you, but I bring an urgent message from the King of Gondor."
