We are a friendly and inclusive community based on canon and a member-created plot. All characters are invited to join the main plot regardless of race, realm, or allegiance. Members, whether new or old, are encouraged to contribute ideas. We welcome all levels of writing and experience.

This board is Account Per Player, so register with a screen name, not a character name. If you’re new to APP role-playing, please take a minute to read this helpful article.

Staff are in the member list as Admin or Mod. Please come to us with any questions you might have. We hope you look around our board and see if we’re the right community for you.

Thank you to everyone who gave their input into the decisions regarding the board conclusions. Fran and I appreciate knowing your thoughts. We share your feelings about this decision. It was not easy to make. This is the plan.

As of today, Realm of Arda has closed registration and applications for new characters. We love new members and characters, but they don’t mix well with conclusions. All former members and characters are invited back to finish up their plots. Even if you only had one post, you’re part of our history.

The “Activity Check” has been complete. Accounts without characters or without In Character posts were deleted. Everyone else has been moved back to Member. All characters ever created on Arda are back in play, if their handlers wish to continue posting. (Canon handlers who were Missing or Retired should PM an Admin prior to playing that character again).

New sub-plots have been created to guide us to the end of the story. You’re invited to throw any and all characters into the main plot. We have some big responsibilities and some big events happening.

This is the schedule of key dates.

May 1, 2010
The major battle will begin and a dark operative will detonate a black powder bomb in a major city.

June 1, 2010
By this date, Hand of Sauron will have been defeated. The battle is over, and the survivors have the next month to celebrate, return home, atone for their sins, or ride off into the sunset.

June 30, 2010
This is the day Realm of Arda will close for In Character posting. All threads will be archived and the IC forums will disappear. The board will stay open for OOC chatting so we can all keep in touch.
