Setting up a little thread for plotting with my characters who are: Andrew Ryan Nicholas Grave (Ryan's secretary) Maximilian Falkenstein (the disillusioned German) Greth Sumter (Rapture Security agent) I like my RPing pretty spontaneous but if you have an idea for a plot involving one or more of my characters that you want to discuss before writing it that's what this is here for. I don't have concrete plots or futures detailed for any of those OCs though I think Greth will become a Rosie at some point in the future. Also if you want to poke me to join in something for a specific reason, here's a good place to do it. |

As previously mentioned, I thought I'd let you know what Fontaine is up to at this point. I figure around this time his smuggling operations would be really taking off. So much so that Ryan would surely soon suspect Fontaine if he doesn't already. As far as Fontaine Futuristics is concerned, I imagine Suchong would be pumping out ideas for and developing new plasmids while Tenenbaum continues her more in-depth research of adam. Perhaps even with Fontaine's verson of the Little Sister. Does that seem right? Other than that, I think I'll have Fontaine work toward setting up his house for the poor and all those other things that Ryan just generally doesn't approve of.

Sounds excellent. I'm thinking of setting up a little thread soon where the 'government' of Rapture has a meeting about Fontaine... people like McDonough, Langford, Cohen, and others would be there. Right now Ryan is very suspicious of him, but like a good opportunistic businessman he is scheming about how to use the whole Plasmid and Adam thing for himself and how he could wrestle it from Fontaine's control. His biggest problem right now, imo, is smuggling. He's worried that people will find out about his city, first of all. Second, he's bothered by their desire for things from the outside world that are not part of the 'Rapture Vision.' (Anything people wanted that he didn't want smuggled in he would see what kind of profit he could make from it.) Also, many of Rapture's 'legitimate' businessmen are furious about the smuggling and how it is hurting their profits. Ryan worries that they will start smuggling too or supporting the smugglers since the market rules all. At this point he's starting to lay the propaganda on pretty thick. He's always done that but he's getting a touch more iron-fisted, tyrannical, and paranoid now. He's not to the point of impaling people on the flagpoles outside his office... but that's only a few years off. |
