Anyone have any expectations/hopes on what we could be seeing in Bioshock 2?

I don't know if I have any specific hopes as of yet, but I'm so curious as to the time period for this piece. And plot. Will it be in a post-Jack Rapture? Or will it be like a prequel type thing that deals with the rise of Atlas? Either way, I'm sure it'll be awesome, but I just long to see Rapture as it was in its prime, before people started splicing. |

Personally, I think a prequel game would be amazing. Some people tend to disagree, but I feel it definitely allows for new plasmids and weapons. What we have to keep in mind is that in Bioshock we were seeing Rapture after it had basically went to hell in a hand basket. While the city was thriving, along with the use of Plasmids, I'm sure there were tons of different Plasmids going around that we never got to see in Bioshock because Jack was pretty much getting what was left over after everything had been destroyed. Same thing with weapons - Power to the People machines were probably a lot more common and had more upgrades for weapons. As for the actual story and who you'd play as. I'm not so sure. It would be nice to have different situations that could result in different outcomes. Such as choosing to work for either Ryan or Fontaine/Atlas. Maybe working for Fontaine would get you more money or Plasmids/ADAM, but you would be more closely watched by Ryan and his men or something. This way the game could still keep the moral questions and choices that the player had to face in the first game - ensuring that every play through can be different...something that made Bioshock such an incredible game, in my opinion. In addition to this, it would be really nice to see alot of the characters that we love from the first game while the city was actually thriving. And allow Fonatlas, Peachy, Steinman, and Tenenbaum actually have their own character models, instead of being reused splicer skins

That site gets me all giddy for the game -- as does the issue of Game Informer coming out that's supposed to have a big story on it!
