"Eight, huh?" Elizabeth replied curiously. Unaware if she was talking to Charlie at this point, or herself. The young girl's eyes then shifted back over to Jase. "Yes sir, eight sounds fine with me." She said, looking back up at the menu to confirm. As she reached into the pocket of her sweater, she pulled out a handful of items and laid them on one of the tables nearby. There were several dollar bills - two tens, five or six two dollar bills, and three one dollar bills. Some of them were neatly folded, whereas others were crumpled and torn - some even with signs of water damage. In addition to the money, there was a sprinkle of poker chips, mostly orange in color. They had come from a game she played a few nights ago after work with Gil O'cullen, Samuel Gunther, Timmy Huddleston, and Peach Wilkins. Dusting through, she pulled out a ten dollar bill from the ruins and straighted it on the edge of the table. As she handed it to Jase, her eyes were focused on Charlie. "Looks like we have a Happy Noodle connoisseur in our midst!" Elizabeth teased, as she began to fill her pocket back up. |
