This video has generated much controversy about the amount of TV fakery used on 9/11:

There's nothing mysterious about the "moving bridge". Ace Baker explains it perfectly.

Is it the end of this nonsense already? Moving bridges, fake smoke, UFOs, etc...
Can we forget about those disinfo arguments and focus on the real deal from now on?

For the second photo, I walked ten yards back and took the same photo with zoom.
The reason the church appears so much bigger is this.
The arch, being nearer, reduces in size rapidly as I move backwards. The church, being much farther off, stays almost same size. So it appears to be bigger."

Simon points to two differences in his two photos that he thinks provide evidence of photo fakery: the difference in height of the bridge and the idea that the bridge seems to have moved sideways. These two photos of the church in the distance illustrate that both these phenomena are the perfectly normal result of different zooms from different distances, but at the same angle to the subject. In the second picture - with the larger church - the trees next to the church seem to have moved sideways - just like the Verrazano-Narrows bridge does.

Everyone who tried to point out this obvious misrepresentation by Simon over at 911 movement was silenced so, apparently, KT and Simon realize that this "evidence" of fakery is insupportable, but they're going to stick with it anyway and just get rid of everyone who wakes up to the fraud.

A couple other items of interest to note about this optical phenomenon:
It is not related to "depth of field", this is a different phenomenon relating to the depth of distance that is in focus.
And second, that the phenomenon is not caused by the zoom alone; no amount of zoom will change the relative size of the foreground to the background. The only way to make the background larger in relation to the foreground is by moving the camera back. The effect of the zoom is merely to show the foreground object as the same size in each picture. Another result of moving the camera back is that objects in the background that were covered up by the foreground object suddenly become visible.

Hitchcock did exactly the same in Vertigo when the protagonist is attacked by his acrophobia. He combined a dolly and a zoom in opposite directions. dolly back + zoom in or vice versa. The effect is very strange because you see just a change in the perspective relations. (Hitchcock was a genius.)
