Update: Internet was NOT shut down! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jillian-york/the-media-and-the-algeria_b_822562.html Thats great news....now where are all the reports from Algerians? Lets hear from those who were beaten and locked up Did anybody you know who was protesting the Gov't vanish without a trace? Isn't there anyone in Algeria who is not connected with a news service talking about what happened, and doing so on the Internet that works just fine? Anybody have a real update on this? |

Here is the problem as I see it > http://www.google.com/search?q=algeria&tbo=p&tbs=vid%3A1&source=vgc&hl=en&aq=f The youtube videos are from news organizations but not from Algerians on the streets Blogs & fake twitter reports are not believable anymore Why can't we hear from the people in their homemade videos from the Internet that works just fine? Is it just me or does the news look pretty filtered and sanitized for World opinion? Edited by A Storm is Coming, Feb 14 2011, 03:07 AM.

Still cant find any videos from the Algerians doing the protesting All the videos either have no running dialogue by Algerians to tell you what is happening or translated by news agencies Anybody get the Algerians viewpoint on these events yet??? The stories coming out may be accurate, but I can't tell by the limited dissemination and method of its coverage Edited by A Storm is Coming, Feb 14 2011, 09:54 PM.
