Mr Jennings broke a window on the 8th floor with a fire extinguisher, and after attracting the attention of a civilian, both he and Michael Hess were subsequently rescued by the NYFD.. “I was trapped in there for several hours .. both buildings came down, all this time I’m hearing all kinds of explosions .. Lieutenant Robert D. Cirri, Port Authority Police Department 39 years of age, reports say Mr Cirri gathered a group of fellow officers, then led an expedition into the North Tower to try and help people, and he lost his own life when that structure collapsed.
