![]() I just found it on my system in the wrong folder... I don't remember where I got it. Does it look familiar? I'd like to have some info before putting it on my 2nd hit photos page. |

I looked through my files and couldn't find anything. I know I have seen it before. I went to search around to try and stumble upon it and I might have found a new(?) shot: ![]() Looks like it might be from video but i dont think I know that angle. Back to the archive to check ... Well; I found the gravel pit at the NW end of 25th St in Brooklyn (on the water); found the tree AND the light standard behind the tree; and that seems to place the camera at the Federal Bureau of Prisons building where 2nd Ave would meet 28th St, if those streets went that far; Google won’t let me get in for a closer look, I guess because it’s a prison. I came across a view very similar to the picture, but from the BQE, here. Five will get you ten it was taken by a guard at the prison! ETA: Yea, the link works! Also, the view is over the top of said prison building, looking beyond Brooklyn into lower Manhattan and the Financial District. [edit NW] Edited by YougeneDebs, Nov 19 2009, 02:38 AM.

Seems to be in the 'Luke Cremin' area; this one is just a bit more east, about the Beard st at Dwight street, brooklyn, ny area. There is not enough material for me to narrow it down further than that; sorry. |

I believe that's an enhanced crop from this one: ![]() From William Nunez: Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 Picture 4 Picture 5 Picture 6 Edited by RasgaSaias, Nov 19 2009, 09:53 AM.

Very good, Rasga! The line of sight I drew went right over Nunez' building at 1 State St. But I wasn't looking that close in to the Towers; my bad.

Thanks for linking that photo. The 2nd hit explosion photos are worth collecting, for sure. I have about 30 of them. This collection is good: http://www.flickr.com/photos/axiom_dk/ |

Before hitting the building? ![]() ![]() ![]() I rotated the 2nd pic and pasted it on top of the 1st at 50% opacity and then at 100%, using the South Tower NE corner to align the 2 photos ... the POV looks different. It seems the photographer is closer to the towers in the explosion pic... maybe just zoomed in ... although the smoke is in a similar spot. The filmstrip style presentation makes it seem like the plane may be 98% behind the tower. I think I see something! But I don't think it's the plane. |
