Is it part building or part airplane?

To get a perspective on the camera location, see the full amateur video:

but the shot in question is in Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm7PTPcKrtQ

I'm gonna say building or something else other than plane debris ...
seems to be a bit of other debris all around it.

yeah, it does - that's a hell of a video (well, it certainly impressed the height of the building on me)

my guess is that its not a plane part

My guess is north east corner WTC 2

nice vne! (good contributions elsewhere as well)

And I think the location would confirm this could very likely be the case.

Good images.

I suppose the debris could be the corner of WTC 2. My first impression was that since the engine ended up down Church St., that corner debris would have followed a similar line. But we're talking about square metal frisbees, things that were hit, not doing the hitting.

Is that insulation fluff lying nearby?

They could not be from the WTC cladding for one simple reason, some of them are round shaped.
There were no round features on the WTC facade.

Perhaps the engine/debris ejecta dented the sheet metal?

This is how the WTC's corner looked like.

I wouldn't say those pieces came from it. Specially the one behind those people in this picture.

It is too shinny and uniformly round shaped for have been just dented by an engine moving really fast.
Not to mention the blue piece and all what seems to be isolation foam.

They could be pieces from another building though.
Something that came from the WTC could damage equipment on nearby roofs.
Just a guess as good as anyone's else atm.

I looked for damage on the nearby buildings in this picture from 9/23/2001 (Source) and fond nothing that could be the source of those debris.

Neither on other aerial pictures:
