What if I'd come out of the blue and told you there's nothing wrong with the flight paths? Would it be really that surprising if once again the so called "evidence" is easily explained by the laws of perspective? I'm learning how to model some stuff on 3Ds Max, so I decided I'd give it a try and reproduce the second plane's flight path in 3D. It wasn't easy, so the result isn't 100% accurate. But very approximate. Then I tested it with two of the most polemic videos from that day with respect to flight paths. Chopper 5 ![]() CBS "Dive Bomber" ![]() All I did was match the cameras with the buildings. The flight path representation maintained the same shape the whole time. This images are all I can provide for now. If necessary, as soon as I learn how, I'll create a 3D video giving a better notion of how perspectives affect the flight path's appearance. The result of this experience was: There's nothing wrong with the flight paths at all. They obviously match if we don't neglect the laws of perspectives. When I change the camera position, I'm able to reproduce every flight path from any footage. Surprising? Not really... This proves once again we can't take anything for granted until we test it ourselves. Specially "TV Fakery" loony arguments. |

RasgaSaias Thank you for your kind reply. I’ll post more as I get them. And I realized this morning that I didn’t post a picture of the perspective from those locations. Here’s the url to my livevideo site with examples: http://photo.livevideo.com/photo/YougeneDebs/photos.aspx Please let me know if you are able to view them. If not, I’ll have to figure something else out. Thanks again! |

BBC World The point of perspective seems to be along the east bank of the East River beyond the end of Greenpoint Ave in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, Long Island and about 3 miles away from the WTC. Or, at about 40deg 43min 45.35sec N 73deg 57min 39.57sec W Note the ConEdison power plant on the other bank. Debs |

The Chopper 5, High5, WNYW helicopter was flying ESE from Caldwell Airport to Manhattan. Upon arriving at the Hackensack River about 5.25 miles from the WTC and at about 700 feet above sea level, the cameraman zoomed in on the Towers and caught the plane. Foot print of the helicopter about: 40 deg 45 min 12.56 sec N 74 deg 05 min 56.77 sec W Catch the calculations here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KqXuckqUS0 Thanks, Debs |
