Neurotechnologija, maker of the VeriLook Software Development Kit (SDK), on Monday announced a new 3.0 version of its facial recognition software that runs on Mac OS X. VeriLook enables computer systems to match up to 100,000 faces per second using a standard webcam or security camera.

Based in Lithuania, Neurotechnologija provides software that can integrate with any database and user interface in order to provide developers of hardware, biometric security systems and security system integrators with facial recognition technology.

In addition to Mac OS X support, Neurotechnologija has improved the VeriLook SDK’s performance. Template extraction time is three times faster than the previous release, the “False Rejection Rate” (FRR) has decreased up to 50 percent, and more.
