I don't see a big shadow obscuring the starboard wing in the Hezarkhani video. Furthermore, in Hez, we also see the wing go in along a straight line. The Spiegel "shadow" doesn't even agree with the Fairbanks video shadow. This shadow story just seems to be a convenient explanation that sounds good but doesn't really stand up on it on its own.
