Penny Elgas - Pentagon Witness Donation of airplane fragment G. Penny Elgas presents her airplane fragment and the box she made for it to National Museum of American History curator William Yeingst. I finally had a chance to talk with Penny Elgas tonight about what she witnessed at the Pentagon. Interestingly enough she doesn't recall the "plane" making any sound and did not see it clip any light poles. Also, she had picked up the piece that is at the Smithsonian from the ground, it didn't fall into her car from the sunroof as the Smithsonian describe.
