Entry Number Two.//

March 9th, 2009

Last week I, unfortunately, released a demo of TSK pre-maturely. Many errors in it. It was too short. I also got a few more complaints that have made me rethink my direction with the project. In light of this, I will be revamping alot of things.

Seeing as how my original plan was to keep Prodigy's first release relatively simple and short, I am reverting back to that plan. My original thoughts for why I wanted to do this was to show the RPG Tsukuru/Maker community/s the style of games I will be developing.

First up in my revamping will be the battle system.
And, I already began on that project last night last night.
I will be using the RPG Tankentai Kaduki Version.
It features more character animations and even enemy animations.
I installed the script, did some editing and testing, and I really love the way it looks.
I'm attaching a sample of what the battle characters will look like...

One more thing that I would like to add...

My love of linear games began fading after playing through Final Fantasy 8.
Because of this little fact, I plan on focusing more on making The Sunblade Kingdoms a free-form RPG.
Meaning you can basically do any event in any order you want to. Free-roaming of every area...
With different events triggering depending on a character's progress with certain areas of the game.
Think along the lines of Morrowind and Oblivion.
Of course, there WILL be limitations...But I will strive to make as little as possible.
