Obama is not even in the same area code as Ronald Reagan.
So, it's ok for Reagan to say he's a "Citizen of the World" but not Obama? Why? Because he was 100% white or because he played George Custer in Santa Fe Trail? (Great movie.)

Yeah, that makes sense.

That's not flooding, bro. It's the result of a coal ash dam failure...coal ash being a byproduct of burning the crap...

Something tells me millions of gallons of coal ash isn't good for rivers and streams.

You know what's funny? In 37 plus years on this planet I have yet to meet a single person who is "pro-abortion."

Just keep telling yourself that if it helps you feel better about yourself, Brother Klecko.

So how do you get your power? Through hydroelectricity, which changes the landscape and kills the fish? Or maybe nuclear, which causes waste which needs to be disposed of that no one wants? Or wind, which mars the landscape? Or oil, which mars the landscape and kills the caribou? Solar power? Those mirrors look mighty ugly in the desert. Libs will find fault with any source of power because they all cause some sort of environmental detriment.
Maybe you use pedal power, if so I apoligize for my sarcasm.

What happened to the American spirit?

We used to believe we could accomplish anything in this country. Kennedy said during his inaugural that we would put a man on the moon by the end of the decade. He didn't know how we were going to do it. He didn't understand a lick of the science behind it. What happened?

When did we become a defeatist nation? When did our mantra go from "we can do anything" to "we can't do that?"

Did I miss a meeting or something? I thought we were Americans damnit.
The American Spirit?

I'd like to know what happened to the idea of using words and thought to convince your neighbors and peers to see things your way? Why must we always by-pass that process and instead use force to make people act the way we wish? That's the tactics of tyrants and sycophants.

Agreed.

I wasn't talking about phony-baloney flag-waving Patriotism, like the people who love to say "America is number 1 and we'll kick your ass" but then say we can't make health care more affordable and higher in quality at the same time.

I was talking about the attitude that used to be pervasive in this country about our ability to do anything and make anything and fix anything.

Exactly what I'm saying.

If you want to convince others to clean up the environment, I think the best course of action would be to go out and do just that. Go get your hands dirty. Actually go to the shore and pick out garbage and such. Try to convince others to do the same. Use the power of persuasion, not the forceful use of the color-of-law.

You want to make healthcare more affordable? You need less government involvement, not more. Of course, a strong dollar wouldn't hurt. So if you could get the government to stop devaluing our fiat currency, that could help too.

No government at all is not a solution Freestater.

Look at Somalia. They have no government. How are things in that country?

You need some government. Without it, anarchy will reign and that won't be good for anybody.

Trees, the ocean, humans breathing animals to. Lets not forget the sun, the clouds to. But cars, planes, refineries get all the blame how about the hot air coming out of Al Gores mouth

Why isit the globe is actually cooling, the arctic and antartic ice is increasing. The sun is the greatest cause of global warming.

You also need all insurance companies to F off and die. Those freaking a-holes lose billions of dollars a year from paperwork errors. How much administrative overhead do those blowhards needs? They literally screwed up every single bill we got with the birth of my son. Every single one. All of them.

Even the government would have gotten one of them right. As far as I can see, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever in efficiency between the government and a bureaucracy laden insurance company. Insurance companies are basically miniature governments...

I agree... but where do they get that power to act like little fiefdoms? From government.
