That was pretty dumb.

Carbon Monoxide detectors should go near the ceiling of your home because the monoxide would be produced as a result of combustion and since combusted air is warm, it will rise.

Please P4JF posters, do NOT follow ANY of Bob's advice. Please put your detectors near the ceiling.
Yea in a enclosed area, the earth is not am enclosed area. Carbon Monoxide is lighter then air so it will stay at the bottom and will be washed away when it rains!

Ummm. Dude? The earth IS an enclosed are. I don't know if you ever noticed, but we have this thing called the atmosphere that is finite. It does not go on forever and the gas in it does not vent into space.

To make a statement like "the Earth is not an enclosed space" automatically disqualifies you from any further discussions on science. ;) :D

As does this statement:

Ummmmmm...if it's "lighter than air" it will rise...not stay at the bottom.

Really, Bob? C'mon, bro. No more science for you until you buy an 8th grade Physical Science textbook...

I read it in a scientific paper, I do not make this stuff up. Oxygen is heavier then carbon monoxide, read the article. I will not worry myself over something I have no control of. This planet has been going thru temperature changes for thousands of years how long have cars, factories, electric generating facilities been around a few hundred years? I may not be a scientist but I do live in the real world and I know I cannot control mother nature!

by the way Plumber brings up coal... in the current Climate change bill the coal industry somehow makes money on this deal... this bill doesn't make anyone happy, which is how we know it's fair.

I have heard that Obama had a long meeting with the coal czars maybe just maybe he is beginning to realize that coal and nuclear energy is the way to go! Of course nothing has been published in the media.
