I say that Jolt should re-start an old project of mine, Project Genesis.

Genesis was a project of mine back in late '07 that was designed to give PAU more of a basis on actual gameplay, rather than chat and player-driven activities.

The plan was to center PAU around three divisions

Industry
Invention
Competition

-Industry-
The original plan for the Industry division was that it would be used to drive the central mechanics of the PAU economy. Industry inclues the production, refinement, and transportation of all goods and items.

I was planning on allowing players to become farmers, with huge fields of berry crops that they could drop off at docks or delivery bins to get an instant amount of money. The farm itself would have its own Pokedollars count, and all of the workers of the farm would work to increase that amount. The owner of the farm could withdraw and spend the farm's Pokedollars as needed, but the workers would automatically get their paychecks from the farm as they do work.

A second part of Industry was going to be refinement. Players were going to be able to have large factories or other facilities that they could use to refine materials. I was planning on a similar company-wide money and automatic paycheck/supply purchases/sales system for it aswell.

-Invention-
The Invention division was going to be all about never creating the same thing as someone else. Players could experiment with all sorts of combinations of things, and almost always find a new and interesting result. This centered around the statistical improvement of items, the creation of new items, and the invention of new techniques. I'm not entirely sure if this segment of Project Genesis will really work too well now, so I'll skip the details.

-Competition-
Competition basically means tons of mini-games. I was planning on lots of mini-games, ranging from fast-paced, mine cart-driving, gold-collecting racing games to persistent-world team-based point capture games.



Alot of this could really innovate PAU, but it would take a lot of work and even more will to get any of it done.
