The babies die if they are not well taken care of (fed). There should be a place where they respawn when they are killed by someone (i think it north of tekron..I THINK. the same place pokemon go if they are killed). I think if they die because they are not taken care of the will disappear (once again i THINK) and if you plan on leaving the game and coming back make sure to have someone watch your kids. People often make daycares in the build zone. and even though im not the owner i felt i should answer your question. oh and also if the babies didn't die the map would be filled with babies.
