Camille walked briskly down the hall, fighting her instinct to run. She wanted to give in to her instincts and shift into a snow leopard so badly, but she settled for the dusty book smell of the library for safety instead. She inhaled and sighed, slowing down to explore the aisles of old books, towering over her. The scenarios that flashed through her head of ways things could go wrong (Shelves crushing her to death, someone cornering her in that corner over there, etc.) Believing she was completly alone, she started singing her favorite song by Death Cab for Cutie in a soft, tentitive voice. "I want to live where soul meets body, and let the sun wrap its arms around me..." She ran her hands over the old volumes. "And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing, and feel, feel what its like to be new..."

Lily turned a corner, almost running right into a singing girl. Nearly planned, Lily halted and gasped. Completely rehearsed. She took a step back. "You know this is a library right?" Her attitude had a confrontational tone. Lily looked to her left at a giant shelf of books, harboring Echo Library's mystery section. It was obvious that the two were in a place designated for quiet study. Lily ran her finger along the top of the book case, grabbing a quite dusty one. "See this?" She held up the book with a dusty cover. "It's a book. One of these is usually contained in a library,a place for silence." She spoke with nearly a whisper, her eyes locked with Camille's. It was a glare that beckoned a fight. "Ok?" Lily said, blowing the cover, sending a plume of old resting dust into Camille's face.

Sitting at a nearby table, feeling as if he was being watched, Jet tried studying for a science exam that was coming up. He had nothing better to do. There some something off about the library though. Looking up, Jet saw a thin, mildly attractive girl standing by Lily, someone he recognized. He shook his head and cleared his throat, suddenly annoyed by her mere presence.

Trying not to be nosy, Jet couldn't help but look up just as Lily had blown the dust into the other girl's face. His jaw dropped for a moment.

Olive also found herself in the library. She wasn't studying as much as she was just watching. The scholars of the school would be found here. This information seemed important to her. She wanted to know who to look out for. Sitting far off in a corner, Olive looked through the library and caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a surefire confrontation. "This should be interesting." Her eyes were wide as she watched the situation unfold from a long distance.

From the very beginning, Camille knew this would be a fight. The girl's tone and stance screamed volumes about her, and the animal intincts that had been calmed, came to her aid. The girl took down the book, and her hackles rose. Glancing around, the snow lepard saw two other people, one defensive, one passive. When she looked back at the girl, and she saw was the dust coming in her direction. That's when she lost it, not even havign to call the the leopard, for it was already there. She felt the fire shoot down her spine, and her paws hit the floor gracefully, one of her less painful shifts. She looked at the girl, and growled, baring her fangs. She was not one to be messed with, and would not let this go. However, hunting was all about the surprise attack, so she advanced on the girl slightly, just enough to make her back the fuck up. Then she glared at her, before glancing at them all, then padded out of the library. She wouldn't get into it now, but that bitch had another thing coming to her if she thought she was gonna let it go.

After treatment like that, Lily expected some kind of confrontation. She was very impressed by the sudden transformation that took place though. she hadn't ever seen anything like it outside of a dream. Echo really was proving to be an interesting place. Lily loved that.

A bit intimidated by the animal, Lily stood her ground with confidence and smiled triumphantly as the girl exited. It was a successful mission on Lily's part. She was making friends, getting herself known, and gaining valuable knowledge about her fellow student body.

"Worked like a charm." Lily giggled to herself, and looked slightly to her right to see Jet staring at her. She gave him a quick wink and turned, making her exit just as bitter as Camille's.

Holy shit! Jet thought. It was the first thing to come to his mind. A bad situation had be averted. Jet thought he was going to have to get involved. He, too, was surprised at Camille's show of power. Her tolerance for Lily's disrespect was unexpected. A part of Jet was intrigued.

A final wink goodbye from Lily was enough to send his blood into a boil. He shook with disgust and gathered his things, hoping to leave before vomiting all over his table. He was hoping to run into Camille somewhere and learn more about her. Hopefully that's where he'd go next.

Impressive.

Olive didn't know much about the leopard. She did however recognize Camille right before she transformed. It was the girl she had been sitting with the day before. Interesting.

Olive hoped for something more diabolical to unfold. She was disappointed, yet amazed at the sheer bravery shown by the transformation. "I'll have to have fun with her sometime." The petite girl said softly, "We'll be good friends."
