Name: Mari [mahr-e] Ketsueki Alias: Kuro Year: 1st/Freshman Class: 1-A Age: 15 Group: Normal Weapon(s): N/A Physical Description: Mari stands at a formidable 5’6 with a tall and thin frame. Her skin is fairly pale, gaining a flush during summer, which bruises quite easily from measly mishaps. She has raven black hair, dull both in and away from the sun, with a total of six streaks colored blue and red; it hides her ears which has a total of five piercings [3 for the right and 2 on the left]. It reaches a bit past her shoulders in a layered style usually tied up with a butterfly clip or various miniature clips. From her Mother, Mari received a heart-ovular face and almond shaped eyes of an emerald hue (though darker); she received her frame from her Father. Usually adorned on her face is black recangular framed glasses, even though she doesn’t need them to see. The mandatory Gekkoukan uniform all students wear is always on her frame six days a week, aside from Sundays, vacations and holidays. However, there are two minor differences in how Mari wears her uniform: one is that she rarely wears the red bow in a ‘bow-like’ fashion but opts for a knot, much easier and simple and the skirt extends a bit past the knees, other than that everything else is in place. Outside of school her fashion mostly consists of a simple plain white short sleeved shirt, black shorts a bit past the knees with a green belt, bracelets, white socks and shoes. All of this is covered by a loose jacket, colored dull sky blue, with cloth belts sticking out about [think asylum…though not necessarily]. During the winter her shorts turn into pants and a thicker jacket. Psychological State: Mari is a fairly quiet person, reserved from peers, teachers and even her own parents. Most of the time she can be seen at her desk reading a book or writing [sometimes scribbling] in amiscellaneous notebook. To some she is viewed as an adult due to her speech but in actuality she is nothing more than a mere child on the inside; a child forced to grow on their own. Any posed answers or requests directed at the student would be answered in a uniformed fashion, a rather boring personality. Just like any other person the young woman hides many things from people, her nature screaming the fact out loud, which is the 'other' perspective. Ever since an accident five years ago Mari has forced herself to look at things in two different perspectives in two different states of mind, somehow relapsing into another state of being. Was it normal to see the road splattered with blood while the next perfectly clean? In broad daylight no less. Something was going on. Another flaw in the young lady’s state of mind is her paranoia. Like all humans we are doomed to death, though no one likes thinking such depressing thoughts, right? In Mari’s case however it is at a constant loom in her head, making her paranoid about thoughts of dying and its various ways of getting you. Though perhaps, there’s something more into Mari’s mind that makes her work the way she does, a reason behind every action. What we see at the moment could perhaps only be a glimpse of the real character behind the mask. Quirks

Brief History: Life is a cruel game where things happen unexpectedly at one point to the next; that’s what kept on happening in hers. It was hard to start over in a foreign country but that’s what the Ketsueki family did when Mari turned seven, they headed over to America for a new start and perhaps a better future for their child. The two parents worked and worked, leaving the little child all alone most of her life, introducing her reclusive personality and dislike of silence. However, their family kept on moving every year or so to another home so Mari never stayed at one particular school, always losing touch with friends before leaving it just to herself. Soon enough her parents had decided that the old life was better and returned to Japan once more. This is where life started to get interesting…for the better and worse. Drive: The driving force of this young woman is unknown. Personally, in her head, Mari has no ambition whatsoever and only wants to ‘live a life of no boundaries’. Then there’s the mysterious ‘Kuro’, a name that appears from time to time. Whatever this person or object’s connection to Mari Ketsueki is still unknown, perhaps they could be her driving force? Accessory: A doll [think plushie] named ‘Kuro, the suspected driving force for the young lady. It is about half the size of her arm in height, a male doll with a peach skin tone, black hair, sapphire blue eyes [dull], dressed in a Gekkoukan uniform. Ironically, the doll’s clothing also changes during Sundays, vacations and holidays; Mari treats it just like a miniature human being. |
