A small area which may be significant in the management of the forum is contacting your staff.

I was wondering how do other administrators contact their staff? through the board, private messengers, other?

And what would be the best way to contact them?

I've never been admin or anything, but I'd keep in contact with them through the staff room and MSN. PMs would be used to nudge them onto MSN if I badly needed them, and e-mail would be a last resort if they hadn't been on for ages or something. :D

Usually MSN or staff room. Been known for the occasional email.

Persevere.
Through the board is my first resort. If they are gone for a while on the forum but I see them on MSN, then MSN obviously. Last would be an e-mail, provided they really need to be contacted.

Private Messaging. It's always worked efficiently for me. :)

Instant messaging, personal message, or staff forum for the staff as a whole.

according to my sources, i believe you are, indeed, a womanizer.
Messaging them on msn is always the easiest to keep up to date with them. :)

Usually PM but I use MSN if I need a full conversation.
