Citadel of Faith
Raised from the ashes of the final unit of American Tradition, it marks the end of an earthly empire and the birth of a higher civilization. Modeled after the old baroque cathedrals, it breaks with the boxed structure of the White House to offer a series of complex branches that turn and twist in all directions. It towers in heights untouched by the old patriotic emblem, drawing the attention towards the sky so that all may stare in awe at the lord that stands over them. Inside it houses a large church where mass meets twice a week, to hear the voice of god speak through his chosen messiah, Roger Beams. The floor on top offers rooms of prayers for the faithful. Further towards the sky, the officials of Beam’s hierarchy are provided with meeting rooms and offices to discuss and plot the future of the flock. Higher and higher it goes allowing access to only those at the top of Beam’s social hierarchy. At the very top is Roger Beam’s personal quarters were only himself and his most trusted members of the Goliath Unit can tread. |

Sanctuary of Earthly Sciences
Its structure is that of a semi-circle going around and behind the Citadel. It reaches several meters towards the sky, but seems utterly insignificant compared to the majestic tower at its absolute center. Like the tower, it’s modeled in the ancient baroque style. Its walls are decorated with frescos, statues and paintings which elude the great bastions of knowledge, from the Ancient Greeks to the contemporary heroes of advance sciences. Past the old-fashioned outer shell, its core contains the most advance and high-tech equipment. The labs are divided by a center point parallel to the Citadel. There lies the office of the Bishop of Earthly Sciences and his team. The Bishop oversees the whole institution and decides the appropriate budget for each scientific team. While his team is in charge of thoroughly investigating several investigations and preparing detailed summaries for the Bishop. To the left of the Bishop’s office lies the branch of inorganic sciences. There scientist focus mostly on military and technological applications. Research on artificial intelligence has blasted off with the creation of the Robotic Guard that patrols the city. Then to the right lies the organic branch which profusely studies geology, medicine, chemistry and genetics. The top floors of this branch contains a well equipped hospitals were patient are also lab rats for the latest and newest methods for healing. The top floors also offers dorms, gyms, baths, and other homely appliances for those white coated geniuses that seldom leave their Sanctuary. |

Stronghold of God
Pinned between the 14th-17th gates, the stronghold stands at the southernmost point of New Babylon. The city within the city is equipped with a port, hangar, training grounds, its own hospital and laboratories and of course housing for its personnel. Civilians have limited access, mostly to administer the merchandise that comes and goes through the port. Scientists have more freedom as some of them are often hired to work in the private labs or for military consults. The extensive area looks plain in appearance compared to the other structures. Its contemporaneous architecture lacks color, statues or any hint of artistic value. The plain and dull buildings are never still. Soldiers, scientist, and civilians are seen moving about at all hours. Deeper inside, hidden from the naked eye, soldiers work extensively, testing and managing the newest equipment for war. Amongst these people, The Bastions of Roger Beams, The Goliath Unit are often seen coming or going. But few rarely understand their motives and missions, since they only answer to the direct orders of the Bishop of War, the sole overseer of the twelve. |

The city
The flock of God has seen many recent changes. Originally the city only housed those chosen by Roger Beams prior to the invasion of Washington. However the economical strain has forced opened their blood-stained gates. The city was erected between the Citadel and the Stronghold. It’s elliptical shape, holds space for public and private housing, and extensive Commercial Avenue, offices and workplaces for the flock, along with parks and other recreational structures. When designing the city, they focused on making it seem as close as they could to the great cities that lived before the war. Though many trades were lost, the city offers its inhabitants the opportunity to earn income by working as officers, mediators of the law, administrators of commerce, sanitation engineers or part of the extensive tower of agriculture (where meat and vegetables are genetically grown). |
