For some reason I am attracted to slightly stupid cars that are dreadfully inefficiant while making alot of noise AKA muscle cars. Somthing about them makes me smile. They remind me of a stupid but lovable big dog that doesent quite know how to go about itself.

Therefore I prepose we race them!

- Im thinking of old school NASCAR style designs with big numbers
- Each driver will need his own livery and will run for himself not a team (but ofcourse you can help eachother out in the usual comunity style ;))
- Cars will be running S630 aproximatly 550hp at about 3150 pounds. Rear Aero and full handeling ups and ajustable everything up the wazoo. Will be Balanced before hand. (would be massivly greatfull for testers)
- times will be worked out based on most practicality.

list of cars:-

Shelby GT500
Dodge Challenger SRT8
Cadillac CTS-V
Pontiac G8 GXP
Chevrolet Camaro SS
Chrlysler 300C SRT-8
Rules:-

* Contact is allowed. This means rubbing and agressive inside lines that may cause the oponent driver to lose speed. Any thing that could causes the opponent to spin out or be forced significantly far fromt the track is not permited.

* If a car is caused to spin out or is forced far from the track in a overtaking manuver the overtaking driver must give the position back. If both cars are victim, both cars must enter the track at the same time together in the grid order they where in before the contact. If they were head to head both cars should be head to head when back on the track where upon they may resume as normal. (this means drivers have to be carfull as both drivers can lose places)

* Drivers that dont adheer to the above rule may lose places post race, were each race will be examined. Report times in races that you feel you where unfairly forced of and it will be looked into.

* Damage will be set off to take into account the more agressive racing. No pit stops will be required.

* Traction control and stability will be forced off.

* There will be a basic flag/safty car in use.

* The cars have been pre tuned. A locked version of the car will be available on Semper Mortems store front with your rim of choice

* Paint scheems must contain the OMRL logo (as seen in the above site banner) somewhere uppon the car. Also The drives name must be placed on the drivers side window above or below is acceptable. Please ensure it is clearly legible. (This is the alternative to the official driver number boxes that usualy are mandatory for cars.)

Acceptable rims:-

American Racing - all
Asanti - AF 140
ATS - Classic
Centerline - Auto Drag III
Cragar - all
Halibrand - Sprint II
Hole Shot - all
Mickey Thompson - all
Weld Racing - AlumaStar 2.0 Drag Race
Work - Equip 01

Race procedure

Races will be held in the same manour as all other OMRL races. Qualification will be possible on thursday friday and saturday before the race.

General

Form what we have tested so far the cars are incredibly fun to drive and turn much better than you'ed think. Im trying to premote somthing that isent to serious but wont desend into a joke and If it works I think it will be some of the best fun on RCOM.

With regards to the liverys I want them to be kept as authentic to the style of the era but you may come up with anything you desire. correct era manufacturing logos wont be strictly enforced as this will add a significant headach, Simply try to keep them to fit the theme. I will attempt to provide some refference matrial. I know Rusty and myself are willing to create a amount of liverys for those that arnt as talented in the paint shop.

What Im looking for In responses here is general ideas and thoughts and more specificaly what times you think would work the best and if possible any images of appropriate era race liveries that can be used for refferance in creating driver uniqe liverys.

Calendar:
Singup:

If you dont participate the toast god will look down on you disfavorably.
