![]() Pre-race Briefing The briefing is an informative and simple way to get important notes across to participants for the forthcoming race weekend. It is extremely recommended that both drivers and Race Organisers/Officials affiliated with this event read and be aware of this page and the information it holds. This includes information on lobby hosting, qualifying procedures, and a hints and tips section. This page is important so please read it [twice!] Lobby Settings in Qualifying: Lobby settings are the configuration(s) for an online race. These include car restrictions and rules that are set for this event. The settings must be 100% spot-on for the race to work. This is important as Officials/Organisers must follow the rules when hosting and making the right settings. Lobby hosts should kick any people who appear in the lobby that aren’t official participants without question. The full list of lobby settings for qualifying sessions for this event: Rules: Game type: Custom. Environment: Mugello. Track: Mugello Full. Damage: Limited. Collision mode: Always off. End of race timer: None. Advanced rules: Scoring type: Time-based. Compare best lap scores: Yes. End condition: Number of laps. Laps: 11. Grid ordering: Random. Overrides: Force off autobrake: Yes. Car Restrictions: Allow upgrades: No. Car class: R2. Body Style Family: German Touring Car Lobby Settings in Race: Lobby settings are the configuration(s) for an online race. Overrides: Force off autobrake: Yes. Car Restrictions: Allow upgrades: No. Car class: R2. Body Style Family: German Touring Car During the race, drivers must make one mandatory pit stop, making the races more strategic for drivers/teams and simulating real-life racing. The pit window for Mugello will be ends of laps 6 - 16. Drivers who pit before the pit window is open will have to pit again within the pit window. Drivers who do not make a pit stop within the pit window may be penalised in a race investigation, and may be disqualified from the race. If a second restart is needed if the lobby, then a 1-second per car roll-off delay has to be added to the lobby settings, and is found under Advanced Rules. Grid Ordering: Will be determined following qualifying. Important Notes: - A slow warm-up lap during qualifying is required, followed by ten flying laps. The warm-up lap is there so people don’t get penalties when lap-times are viewed in-game. If on the first lap you get a penalty, you will have to use your next lap as your warm-up lap again. - Rules regarding race investigations/incidents are in full effect in this event. - The DTM cars are EXTREMELY sensitive to aero damage. Please be extra cautious while around other drivers. The slightest of taps could ruin their race, and yours. - Each lobby is allowed 2 restarts if a red flag event occurs in the first 3 laps of the race (3 or more cars taking serious damage in the same incident). - If a second restart is needed, a 1 Per-Car Roll-Off Delay will be implemented to space the cars out. Tips and Advice: - Reset your internet if needed to. If you’re having lagging problems on the race night or connection trouble, all it takes is a quick switch off, switch on of the plug your internet is in. This should reset the NAT to open and connection should be okay. Any needless internet applications on the computer which may hinder connection should be closed, for everyone’s sake. - Keep hydrated. You can keep a bottle of water/can of soda within close reach to keep hydrated during longer races. It is proven that water helps more than anything else. - Practice the courses beforehand. This is where some people fall short on as seen in previous events, as Organisers/Officials/lobby hosts won’t be offering any practice in the qualifying/race. |
