![]() Rules & Calendar Overview Following an eventful and very exciting 250hp International Series, the DTM Masters Series is the next Touring event at OMRL. We're hoping to build on the success of the 250hp Series, but this time with the very powerful RWD German touring cars. The racing promises to be close, fast and competitive. The races will last 45-50 minutes and features tracks like Catalunya Grand Prix, Mugello and Nurburgring GP. OMRL reserves the right to change any information on this page, such as correcting spelling mistakes, or adding new rules onto the page, without notifying participants. Car List The car class for this event is R2. Below is a list of available cars eligible for this tournament. Only two cars are allowed per points earning team, with each team member driving the same car:
No upgrades of any sort are allowed in this series, including rims. Tuning though, is highly encouraged. It is the participants' responsibility to finance purchase of their team car. Schedule The tournament will consist of eight races, starting bi-weekly, then moving to weekly after the Easter holidays. Qualifying sessions will be open on the Thursday and Friday before the race, however drivers can only have one qualifying session. All races begin at 9:30pm GMT / 4:30pm EST on the dates listed. If possible, try to also contact other members of your team who may be able to substitute in the race for you. OMRL has the right to change any date of a race without notifying the drivers, so please keep updated on this page incase it does occur. It is also the drivers' responsibility to keep in check with the schedule, and let the race official(s) know that you are attending the event [or not]. OMRL will not take responsibility if a driver does not attend a race meeting. Points Points will be given to drivers for their performances in only the race itself. Drivers who retire due to damage as well as drivers who lag-out of the lobby will get the lowest amount of points from their lobby.
Points for the team championship will be earned by the top two point-earning drivers from each team. For the manufacturers championship, the top three drivers in each vehicle will earn points towards that title. Drivers Grid A maximum of twenty-four [24] drivers will be allowed entry into the tournament. This will be three lobbies of eight. OMRL tournament signups operate on a first-come, first-serve basis; so if all the driver slots are taken up, it's tough luck. Each OMRL team can enter up to three drivers for the Team Championship. If the team wishes to field more than three drivers, then the team will have to split into two teams for the purposes of the DTM Masters Series. The new team will have to use a unique livery and can use the same or different vehicle from that of the first team. To register your driver number click here, and to register your team required to enter this event click <here>. Incidents / Contact In racing, contact with other drivers is inevitable. However, the DTM cars are highly susceptible to aero damage both in the front and in the rear. Even the slightest amount of damage to aero can have a serious negative affect on a cars performance (and it can't be fixed by pitting!). Please take extra caution around other drivers, especially at the start. When behind another driver EXPECT to brake earlier than usual so as not to hit them. Remember, the race cannot be won on the first few corners, but it can easily be lost. To combat expected incidents, if a race is required to restart a second time (third start), then a 1-second roll-off delay will be implemented in order to space out cars and hopefully reduce early race incidents. A red flag (restart) will occur when three or more drivers take serious damage in the same incident, in the first three laps of the race. Race officials will hand out punishments/points penalties for intentionally hitting other drivers on purpose, making ill-advised manoevers causing an accident, and other offences. This can affect your status on and off the track. With collisions on during the race, all drivers on the track are expected to be/act professional on the track in any lobbies. Race flags apply [yellow, green, black, blue, red] |
