They'd been walking for a while, and aside from the tree roots which were persistantly tripping him up, he had to say he was enjoying himself immensly. His arm was linked with Louise and occasionally he would glance sideways at her, only for a moment before snapping his head back as her eyes moved to watch him. He couldn't stop smiling while he was around her, no matter what happened. Even the tree roots didn't dampen his mood.

"Do you know where we are by any chace?" He asked hesitantly, obviously if she said no he would possibly act as if he knew what he was doing and where he was going. Even though he had no confidence in either, but it would serve him well with Louise if he looked like he had an ounce of manliness to him.

They had transferred to the road a while ago, it wasn't a large road like the one named the north road, however it was still sufficient enough to house probably two carts comfortably either side of each other, so certainly there was enough space for two slim figures to walk along without spiking themselves on rudely intruding bushes.

It was however not enough to stop Louise's male guest to stop tripping over the tree roots; although the road was desolate of large wooden obstructions protracting from the forest floor, there still remained a few small bumps where the soil floor parted to allow leeway to small archways of natural contraction. In spite of herself, Louise couldn't help but laugh at him, he truly was completely helpless, like a child really, but when did small boys ever really grow up? It was true, that men were in most cases the larger versions of their immature selves; he tripped repeatedly, probably more baby like than as a version of a small child, it was like he was only just finding his feet, she dreaded to think how uncoordinated that he would be were the chance come for him to dance.

"Do you know where we are by any chance?" Louise smiled and glanced at him,

"We are on a road Bran" she joked and uttered a small laugh, "You know, a thing that allows the nobles to travel on horses and carts to pass through places" she shook her head and laughed, she enjoyed walking with Bran, it was certainly... interesting to say the very least, she liked him, he was good fun.

"Has the bump to your head done some damage?" she asked almost sympathetically, the caress of a smile still evident on her amused features.

Bran decided he liked the forest. It was peaceful, and meant he could be alone with Louise, which he wasn’t complaining about in the slightest. Apart from the tree roots, Bran liked the forest. Of course he couldn’t live in it like Nicola did, Bran was no outlaw and never wanted to be one; he liked his home comforts too much for such things!

He was half inclined to laugh at Louise’s comment, but glared at her, “I was going for more where the road went.” He grinned, “But I take it you know where we are- you tell me then I’ll tell you if your right,” He tried, managing to stop his laughing but replaced it with a cheeky grin and pulled her slightly more towards him as he stepped into a brisk walk.

He hadn’t seen Nicola since that night in Locksley, he’d only just got rid of the bruise she’d given him, and of course Louise had managed to highlight the bruise at every possible point. Tristan had too, but there was a difference- he could hit Tristan or do something equally as manly, but with Louise, he either settled for glaring or sticking his tongue out at her.

Today, as was the normal trend for this time of year: was cool and crisp, but if it was too much to bear, then after Luke's death Louise would have remained in London, it was warmer down there, but only just, and she supposed that she would have missed her family.
But not only that, she would have missed the little things, the way that the sun would touch the dew drops in the morning outside her house, the way that when she stepped outside on the few occasions that her head was disrespectfully down it would make the strands almost glow, she liked that about her, her hair, she had heard that men sung about it in some higher rank of society, personally she had never heard any of these so called songs, but what did she have to prove otherwise?

"Well..." she thought for a moment before raising her arm and pointed some meters in front of her where the road curved slightly to the left, "The road heads towards those trees" she signaled behind her, back the way that they had come, "And that way goes back in the direction of the Nottingham area" she said pleasantly not looking at Bran a large grin protruding.

Tristan was brilliant, but he was lazy, in that way he was like Nicola had been, although little but on a larger scale, she had been like that before she had been outlawed, getting up later than Louise in the mornings, a sleepy look in her eyes, it had been then, in the mornings and later at night when Nicola had been too tired to form argumentative comments that she had been generally more pleasant. But it was Nicola, you had to love her for it!

Therefore Tristan wasn't inclined to walking, this was where Bran came in, he was pleasant, handsome, and immature enough to satisfy Louise's taste for life, he was also good when they were at home, tossing comments back and fourth between himself and Tristan, it was quite amusing really.

Bran looked sideways at Louise, smiling gently. She really was one of a kind, in the way he knew she'd had to face so much, and how she just went about daily life like usual was amazing really. Bran didn't think he could stand having one of his relatives outlawed, not because of the dishonour or anything surrounding it, but more under the knowledge that they would never be safe and never be free again.

Bran nodded, acting like he knew what she was talking about, "Yep! My thought's exactly!" He declared and grinned at her. He strode a bit faster, feeling more comfortable and confident in his wake, now he knew slightly where they were.

He looked about him, starting to like the forest around him. Like he'd pointed out before, he couldn't live here like Nicola did. God no! He had the upmost respect for Nicola in some way, but ugh, living in the forest? He couldn't never do it. To gaze into it and walk amongst the trees for an hour before going home to a warm meal and a blanket.

He wondered if Tristan had done anything today. He could be a good help when he decided to do anything, sometimes Bran wondered why Louise kept him. Sure there was the blood relationship...but Bran guessed it was early days, and Louise would no doubt whip Tristan into shape somehow.

"Have you seen Nicola at all recently?" Bran asked and looked around to Louise. Bran liked his sleep so was often in bed as soon as possible and he knew Nicola came by the moonlight, "Or perhaps heard from Genevieve?"
