Now, Hera never spent much time in Athens. She preferred Olympus. She didn't stick out like a sore thumb on Olympus. Here in Athens, everyone stared at her. She was positive that her oddly-coloured hair had something to do with it, if not her immortal beauty. Every God was beautiful, in their own way. However, the odd time, she did step down to walk among the mortals. She tried her best not to be seen, but it was extremely difficult in such a populated city. So she tried not to draw attention to herself on the long trips. No one had ever informed her whether or not the mortals knew that the Gods and Goddesses sometimes walked among them, so she believed strongly in staying hidden as best as possible until she reached her destination. She didn't really have anyone to visit in the city, however, so she rarely just came down for visits. She always had an important purpose.

In this case, she was going to Cynosarges. As far as she knew, the gymnasium wasn't often used by mortals, although they did like to visit. Perhaps there would be the odd person or two when she came down, but rarely. In this visit's case? There was no one. Fortunately for herself, of course. She sauntered her way to the change room - though there was no need - and changed into more comfortable wear. She walked back out, onto the track. Running was always a very good way to sooth her. She had nothing troubling her quite at the moment, but she found little to do around Olympus, so to relieve her boredom, she chose running. The track there was incredibly large, and a few laps would definitely keep her occupied for at least a few minutes. Hera had been having a bit of trouble with men lately. Not quite not being able to find one - oh no, she had already found one. She had found a few, but she had no idea how to decide which was for her. There was Hermes, but they had already been friends their entire lives. She felt that it would have been strange were they ever to be involved. But then there was Zeus, who, granted, she didn't know as well. It wasn't such a colossal problem, but it was certainly stuck on her mind.

As she ran, she let every thought drain from her head. It was a nice relief, feeling at ease. There wasn't much on her shoulders, and she wasn't as stressful as she knew some of the others on Olympus were constantly. However, everyone needs a little release sometimes. She ran and ran, until she got bored of it and tired just a little. The next moment, she immediately stood next to the mirror fixing her hair and make-up, and changing. Her time at the gymnasium was far from over, but she could do whatever else she wished just like this, and remain perfect. She meandered around the gym for a little while, moving on and off courses and activities, until she decided to slow it down. Her boredom only grew, and she climbed onto the stands around the gymnasium. Unfortunately, she could only keep herself preoccupied so long. So, in her ease, she laid back along the stands and closed her eyes, allowing peace to momentarily fill her.
