  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

The sun was already starting to settle behind the neglected buildings of Shirokawa. Traffic was still buzzing around as well as pedestrians. Chiran hated walking through this area, but she had no other choice. How else would she get to "The Blitz's" Studio? She turned down into a street where she knew a noodle shop was. It wasn't the best, in fact, it was more to her income class than the La-di-dah class near the waterfront.

She opened the dust strewn door and walked through. A bell rung above her head and almost everyone stopped eating, drinking and talking as they stared at her. "Yup." She thought. "As soon as 'Miss-T' walks in, everyone stares." With a sigh she rubbed her hand clean on the designer coat she wore. The coat was a banana yellow. Beneath the coat was a blue shirt and mini blue dress. Her feet were adorned with yellow high heels and her lips where coloured in a powder blue, while her eye shadow was a light canary yellow.

She walked towards the sushi counter and sat next to one of the guys that haven't noticed her. She did this purposely and with the intent of not talking to anyone, but as she turned her head to look at him, she recognized him from school.

"Hey", she started and tapped the guy on his shoulder. "You're in one of my classes..."

It's been an interresting day. The small gang from next towns high school came to claim there school for the 3rd time this month. And for the 3rd time Akio put on a hoody and beat the shit out of them keeping his smile for the time he did so. Those guys got stronger everytime but still had 20 years to go if they changed nothing. Maybe learning some real material arts would help but even then his meta ability would make him win. Being the mysterious King of the High School was interresting. Kings- A name given to the strongest student at school, given from the underground fighting between school. Only few knew everything about it but over all it was just kids messing around and beating each other up. Even so this small crime was rather unimportant compared to the real problems this town had.

Like every friday he went to got some sushi at Urius place. His sushi was great and not expensive. He entered the place and went straight to his regular place and layed his wooden katana that was surrounded by a red cloth bag on his right side at the wall. He looked at Uriu and asked him to give him his usual thing. Some nice sushi plate that was just right to eat his stomuch full. He had his normal smile and started eating. Akio was wearing his normal clothes with the brown jacked, white T-shirt and brown jeans.

He starts eating. It was good like always. He was so lost in the nice taste and the memorys of eating this here that he didn't realized how Chiran entered the shop. He was still eating when Uriu had some strange look on his face and then his shoulder was tapped by somebody. Akio turned his face towards the person talking to him. He swolowed the sushi he had in his mouth and smiled at the girl. She was wearing some designer coat and a blue shirt with mini blue dress. He looked into her face and went through the class list of people. Shortly he found her name and face flying around in his memory.Misaki Chiran, a young girl rumoured to already have some model work at young age. It was rumored that she was doing some forbidden stuff in school. Nothing serious through. Akio had his never fainting smile and says."Misaki Chiran-chan. We have math and physic together. What brings you into this place?". Akio looks at Uriu hearing Akio talk like that seemed to make him calm and not worrying about this new customer. She was just looking way to overdressed for this place. Maybe that model rumour was true? Uriu was never good with people that looked successful, but since Akio his friend was talking so easily he also relaxed."I'm Kamamura Akio, in case you forgott my name". He still had his smile on. This never fainting smile of his that seem to calm down nearly everyone and at the same time pisses of the people that want to harm him. It was so strange that even through he was wearing a hoody while fighting that smile was the thing that gave his high schools king then nickname, that gave him his fighter nickname. He looks at her and awaits her answer while looking into her eyes.

Yes, What was Chiran doing there? There were many other places she could go to get her dinner for the evening, but this place, it's people, there was something interesting about them. Regardless of how she looked after a shoot they always seemed like the only people that never judged her, or shunned her. If it was Chiran walking into the door, people smiled and were, most of the times, polite. If it was "Miss-T" from the Blitz, they stared in awe. They knew who she was, but they never the less respected her.

Chiran smiled at Akio as he swallowed what seemed to be a piece of Sushi. She knew this because her eyes darted towards his plate. He also had his Bokken near him. It was leaning against the wall close to him, wrapped in a red cloth. Chiran arched an inward eyebrow at this. Her eyes darted back to Akio's and she smiled as he introduced himself. Not that he had need to.

She reached into her designer jacket and pulled out what looked like an A4 photograph. Uriu was, after all, one of her fans. She also took out a permamark and wrote on the new cover photo - "Whith Love Misaki~".

"Well" Chiran started as she handed Uriu the photo. "I have to go through here if I want to go home." She smiled faintly and looked back at Akio. His smile never fainted, never dwindled. To some it was unnerving, to Chiran it was interesting and in some way, cute. "Besides, Uriu here would get mad if I didn't bring him his new photo." With that she looked away. She didn't like questions, but still, a conversation was never a conversation without one.

She ordered her usual at Uriu, which was the same as Akio's. She smiled as she waited and she looked back at Akio. "So we have science and math together..." She mused more to herself as she place her hands together and rested her elbows on the table top. She then rested her chin on her two outstretched index fingers and looked at the ceiling. "Who could forget your name?" She asked, though the question wasn't a question. "The girls and some boys at school literally drool over you when you walk passed. They all fall into some trance..."

"But now it's your turn. Why are you here?" She asked Akio just as her plate arrived. With a scrape she pulled it closer and took the two chopsticks between her fingers, grabbing the first piece and placing it delicately into her mouth. She savored the taste as she listened to Akio's answer.

Akio eat another piece of sushi as he listens to Chiran answer. It seems like she really was a small model and Uriu was her fan. Akio smile only grew bigger as he listens to her. Uriu wants an autograph from a high school model. Akio gave him a small look and he quickly looked to the sushi he was making for Chiran. He looked at her smile and listens to her as she places her hands together and rests her elbows on the table top. She seemed like a normal girl. Not any different from those at school. Well she was still quite different than most. She actually talked to him more or less normaly. She rests her chin on two outstreched index fingers and looks at the ceiling instead of Akio so he turns to his sushi and eats another part. It tasted so good. The white rice with the raw salmon was his favorite combination. Simple but delicious.

Then she said something that was interresting. 'Who could forget your name?' a question Akio never asked himself. He was a normal student. Or he tryed to be. If you look back being a normal student was the only thing he always failed at. In middle school he was the kendo ace and in high school he was an underground fighter. Not to forget the small problem he had. Chiran tells him something that was rather obvious to him by now. He was popular with the girls and with some boys. Nothing that bothered him but it was something that seemed to be worth mentioning when asking the question if his name could be forgotten. Chiran had forgotten or never realized all the killing intent in the eyes of most boys. Most other male students looked at him with anger. There also were boys that 'drool' over him and some that like him but around 70% of all male students seem to dislike him for being popular. Akio's smile did not help with those guys. Even so live in school was good if you ignore the continuing killing intend flying towards you from the back line.

Chiran asks him why he was here. A question that was simple. He looks back at her with his smile and sees that her plate had arrived. Uriu had done his best to make it look tasty. She pulled it closer and ate the first piece. He looks at her and says."Well I come here every friday. Depending on how much work I have after school I come earlier or later". It's my regular weekly routine. There was no big reason to it. His answer seemed a little bit small so he adds some back story."I found this place when I was new to this town and lost. Uriu gave me some good meal back then and ever since then I come here every friday, well unless I got no money left". He laughs a little bit and then eats another piece of his sushi. Around 4 were left. Chiran seem to have the same plate as him. It seems like her tast and his was similiar. At least when it came down to sushi.

Akio thought that he should say something so he talks about the only topic he can think of at the moment."So how do you like Urius sushi? I think it's one of the best in town". Uriu got slightly red at that compliment. He was never good with those. He simply liked making sushi. He didn't cared if people praised him but in the end it was a cooks createst pleasure to hear his customers prais him. Akio eats another piece of his sushi and awaits Chirans answer.

It seemed as though Akio had gone through more or less the same turbulent time she had gone through when she had found her father dead in the living room. Her mind replayed the day when one of the Triad gang members knocked on the apartment door to collect the rent as well as the protection money they owned the Triads, for whatever "services" they gave. Chiran sighed and she placed her chopsticks down next to her plate.

"Well" She thought. "At least we survived". With that she picked up her chopping sticks again. She picked a piece of sushi in placed it between her delicate lips again. Her eye lashes, eloquently closed as she focused the memory in her mind. She opened them again as she swallowed. "Uriu's sushi is good." She said with a smile and turned to look at Akio. She turned on her chair and faced Akio fully. She turned her head sideways and there was a distinct frown on her brows. He had said something about being busy. It wasn't strange that her age group had to go and work now-a-days, however, it was strange to her that he had business particularly on Fridays. What business was conducted mostly on that particular day of the week?

Knowing that it was a 50-50 chance that Akio would answer truthfully. She never the less asked. Besides, all she would do is find out the truth eventually. With, or without his concent. "What kind of business are you into?" She asked, as she slipped another piece of sushi between her lips.

Akio eats the other pieces of his sushi plate as he listens to her. This month he did not spend all his money on useless stuff and had more than enough for Urius sushi. Big money problems was something new to him. It only happened once since he came to live here and that was in the month he met Uriu. He had spend all his money on a game and some books and completly forgot about food. His father wanted to give him a good leson and send no extra money as he knew his son wouldn't be abel to starve so quickly and just like every old material arts master he had a tick for giving him hard lessons. But this month he had nothing better to do. He looked at her as she ate another piece of her sushi. The way she placed the food in her mouth was rather "interresting". Not many girls ate like this. It was like she was really into eating sushi? Akio wasn't really sure how to say this but it was something he recognised. She opens her eyes and say that Urius sushi was good with a smile. Akio's smile got slightly bigger as he comments."It's good to see I'm not the only one that loves it". He turns to Uriu that didn't even look as he was making some for another coustomer.

Akio sees her turn her seat and he also turns his to face her fully. He looks at her and sees the frown on her eye brows. What was troubeling her? She asks him something as she slips anopther piece of sushi between her lips. Akio was now fully facing her and says while slightly tilting his head."Well I help out the school clubs and a few friends of mine. Depending on how much work they have left for me to help them with i get here early or late. Today I helped the male kendo team with there training". He looks at her and adds."I guess your coming from a shooting or something like that?". He looks at her from head to toe. Not the clothes somebody would normaly wear. Akio did not lie. He was helping out his friends and the clubs at school but he was also doing his king work, fighting of underground fighters and stuff. Even so his secret was well hidden so there was no big chance of her finding out that Akio didn't tell her the whole truth. Not to forgett that Akio could lie without changing his expression at all. He looks into her eyes and awaits her answer.

Suddenly feeling aware of her clothes, Chiran began to blush slightly. She had forgotten that most people in this are didn't normally dress like this. Shyly she nodded at Akio. "Yeah, it pays the rent." She said. Even though Akio had answered her question, there was something that didn't place with Chiran. Perhaps it was the way his expression never changed, regardless of what he said?

"No", Chiran thought. "How can someone who practically doesn't give away whether they lie or tell the truth ever do both?" The thought hushed Chiran's blush for a moment as her eyes, that always seemed to give the impression of reading people's souls, locked onto Akio's. "Everyone has secrets, even myself." She continued her thoughts. In her experiance, people who seemed like the most helpful, were at times the ones with the deepest secrets. Besides, there was an old saying that went "Silent waters, and deeper ground, bellow the devil turns around." What exactly this phrase meant was, that even those who seem to be rather down to earth and forthcoming, aren't always who they seem to be.

"Well" She started again. "I see your sushi is done." Her eyes never left Akio's. "Do you want some of mine?" She offered as she moved the plate somewhat between them. "I also like the idea that you help the Kendo club..." She continued. Yes, the Kendo club. He had given her the first clue. Though she couldn't, nor wouldn't, go straight in and start asking those guys and girls anything about Akio. No doubt that they'll just cover for him out of loyalty or fear. Either way, she wasn't going to get the truth from them. "I don't do Kendo, I'm more into Nin-Jitsu." She said and smiled. Her mouth's left corner made a little dimple and she then, strategically, looked away.

"There's something about the arts that just gives you more discipline than most other things. Don't you agree?"

Akio looks at her as she blushes slightly cute. To have such a cute reaction was unexpected by Akio. She offers him some sushi and he looks at it. There was a big fight inside of him. This was a hard decision. A girl offered him food so he would need to eat it. On the other had he had already eaten and didn't wanted to waste this girls hard earned food money. He closes his eyes and crosses his arms as he thinks hard about this decision.

Chiran on the other hand continues to talk and tell him that she was liking the idea of him helping. Akio was only listening with an half ear when she tells him about her liking Nin-Jitsu. As she goes ahead and tell him that she likes the arts for giving people more discipline. Akio snaps out of his thinking and looks at her. She was now turned away from him and he takes his chopstick, quickly grabbing one of the sushi parts and says."Thanks for the food". He grabed it so quickly that all untrained eyes wouldn't have been able to keep up and only see a blured coloured arm moving. He eats it and looks at her as he answers her question."I'm not sure if it does. I only heard of it. And most of the Nin-Jitsu I ever saw was from anime. I'm pretty sure they can't use abilitys like those in the anime". Akio laughts. This was the truth, he never saw any real Nin-Jitsu. Only a few different sword styles and many different technics but something that could be counted under real Nin-Jitsu was new to him.

He looks at her with curius eyes and asks."The way you talk. Could it be you actually know some Nin-Jitsu?". He leans on his chair towards her so his face was only 20 cm away from her head. If she turned around there faces would be extremly close. He did not think about how akward it could be for her to be this close, but this was on of his old loves. When he was a kid he loved nothing more than learning new technics. He was talented at quickly learning them and he still loved learning new one. Even if she didn't knew any Nin-Jitsu her interrest in it was reason enough to ask further if she didn't knew anything about it. He looks at her and waits for her answer.

Chiran didn't take another piece of sushi. The awkwardness of Akio's closeness to her own face was a bit unnerving to her. She didn't like people getting too close to her, physically or emotionally. She retracted a bit and her eyes pulsed with a bit of irritation. Though the irritation was soon suppressed. "How could he know that I don't like this kind of thing?" She asked her self and shook her head mentally at herself. "No need to get all irritable at him for this."

"Woah, now tiger!" She joked and her smile returned to her delicate lips. "Let's not get too close yeah?" She suggested and moved a bit back. "Phew! I can breathe again!" She thought and giggled mentally at her own little joke. She looked at Akio, he seemed so... cute, like a puppy. "Anime doesn't do the art of Ninjutsu justice." She continued. "It's an art for espionage mostly. I plan to one day become a secret agent for the new Organized Crime Unit in the N.C.P.D." She said rather proudly.

"Also" She continued. "I'm more into some forms of Ninjutsu, rather than all eighteen disciplines of it." She shrugged and took out of her jacket a piece of paper and a pen. She wrote a series of numbers down and handed it to Akio. "Call me sometime. We can either train together, or just grab dinner again." She said with a smile, still holding the piece of paper out to Akio.

On the piece of paper is Chiran's phone number as well as her living address.

Akio looked at her as she seemed irritated, it looked like she did not like being so close to another person. It was an interesting and "new" reaction. She goes ahead and makes a joke after that she moves away and Akio leans back on his chair. He says with his normal smile."Ah sorry. My bad.". She seemed to not know much. The kid in Akio was disappointed but there was no sign of that on Akios face. She continues to tell him about her dream Job for the future. Akio had no fix dream job so her telling him her dream was something interesting.

He gave her a smile and takes the piece of paper. Training was something he was unsure about, dinner was okey with him. Having a girl that talks normaly to him was nice. He takes out his phone and turns to the counter as he creates an account for her in his adressbook. While doing so he says."If you want I can help you train but I'm not sure if this training will be anyway you imagine it". He looks at her and says."But I'm always open for dinner. Eating together is better then alone. So... There's still sushi left. You should eat it before it gets to warm". Akio smiles and puts away his phone and the piece of paper. His phone was an two years old HTC one. He had saved her with her full name and "(Sushi/Model)". He looks at her awaiting her to either eat or talk with him.
