| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Responding to Calls As one of the Big Three foundation organisations within Niwa, a huge portion of the N.C.P.D. force are NPCs. Any member has the ability to create and control NPC Officers for the purposes of supporting or enhancing IC plots. How to use NPCs As with the use of all NPCs there are limits. Firstly most police officers take their job seriously, it is a very very small percentage which are corrupt. The N.C.P.D. NPCs like to think they are the good guys fighting the good fight. If you want to build a corrupt NPC Officer, put the character through registration. It is a great way of building a database of reoccurring shady character ~ they do not have to have abilities, but it is a way of tracking the character and their illustrious career. Maybe your plot only involves the N.C.P.D. NPCs adding to the pile of corpses your gang and/or characters are leaving in their wake. There is every possibility that officers are going to put themselves in the line of fire and some of them won’t make it home. But there are limitations on this. Unless you have a whole SWAT team showing up to your party, most officers would respond to calls in pairs. So two assaults on police officers is the limit... Also keep in mind that the N.C.P.D. will usually respond in some way. They will expand the efforts to hunting down whoever was responsible for hospitalising or killing their own. The same goes for senseless civilian slaughter. There are always repercussions. How to request Police Assistance Working on a thread or plot and you want more than a couple NPC uniforms to show up to a report of shots fired or officer assistance required? No worries at all, the dedicated men and woman of N.C.P.D. are always ready and willing to lend assistance. When requesting that characters within the N.C.P.D. get involved with your plot, try and consider how exactly the N.C.P.D. is responding to the crime in progress. Police Officers are not mind readers, or prophets (well, most of them aren’t), they are not going to know the exact moment to show up, so be sure to have a clear idea how the police was tipped off about the events in progress. Officers are not necessarily going to rush to respond to a domestic disturbance, traffic violation or petty theft. Anything larger and they are going to want to have back up. If the plot ticks all the boxes, put a link to the current topic and a brief description below and an officer should be responding to your location shortly. Edited by Faith, Dec 14 2014, 12:19 AM.
