Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

The air throbbed with both the smell and sound of club goers and music. People both young and old partaking in beverage as they leaned on the barrier that fenced in the patio to the bar they were occupying. To most people at this time of night, you'd see the dim lights seeping from the entrance, little red cherry-lights from cigarettes dancing in the shadows as people waved their hands in conversation.

But to Chevy everything was clear as if someone had turned the sharpness up on an old television set. She had invoked the beast's eyes to see for her tonight, she wanted no surprises. She had herself convinced she were here on business. A bit of hearsay brought her to this boardwalk. Scanning faces and listening in on conversations as she walked. She searched for a man who frequented this boardwalk to make his less than admirable business dealings.

She knew as a part of Vanguard, she should apprehend him and bring him in, but her business tonight was personal. She had heard on the streets that this particular man had had dealings with her brother in the past. Or at least, she assumed when someone had mentioned a man from Ireland, the last name beginning with a "C" she figured she had nothing to lose.

The bar scene always made her a bit nervous, but not for her own safety, rather for others. Her beast liked to rear its head, and claws.. and sometimes teeth, if she were provoked. And sometimes there was little she could do to control it. Making a scene in the name of Vanguard wasn't on her list of things to do today. So her plan was to have a few drinks, keep her eyes and ears open, and try to relax, at least a little bit, so as not to look suspicious.

She had braided her hair down the side, tying it simply with a blue ribbon, her usual attire of a black tank top, and a pair of close-fitting blue jeans that had the beginnings of faded wear at the knees.

She made her way into a particular bar, her body twisting and turning gracefully through the crowd, only coming within a hairs breadth of another human, until her trek brought her to an empty bar stool within hearing distance of the entrance.

The barmaid greeted her without looking at her, filling shot glasses almost as quick as she effortlessly slid them down the bar without spilling a drop. Chevy wondered if perhaps that had been a process of trial and error, and how many angry customers it had taken to get it right.

She rested her elbow on the counter, head under her chin as she diligently began to observe the company she was keeping this night.

Chevy grinned at him, laughing once more as she took another shot. "Me? Pass out? Do I sense a bit o' hopefulness in yer voice, m'friend?" she chuckled, her bright blue eyes clearly showed the effects of the booze. She knew she was nearing her limit, but she was having too much fun. She'd stop before she was too far gone.

"There are many dances one can learn in Africa. It's all about the foot work there, I've found. However in Ireland, play us a bit o' fiddle and we'll dance till the sun comes home." she leaned back in her seat a bit, her eyes far off for just a second. For the first time in years she felt a slight homesick.

She shook it off, turning her gaze back upon her newly met comrade. No sooner than she had, he was already declaring her loss.

"A bit of a premature prediction, don't you think, Jack? Though I figure a man like you.. premature just may be your thing." she grinned, a devilish expression upon her face as she tossed the innuendo in the air.

"Ha, that's an easy one. I woke up on the subway once, in me birthday suit. No idea to this day how I got there." she laughed, "I got off at the next stop, a man followed me for at least four blocks before I sh-" she stopped herself short. Jack still didn't know her abilities, and she wasn't too sure about revealing them.

The bottle was getting closer to the halfway mark, which was good, he was getting a little drunk now. But he didn't want to go on until he was in a piss poor state, he didn't think that would happen however. "Just an assessment girl, no hope needed." He said with a cool demeanor, teasing.

"Dance huh, I bet many of these dances are done horizontally." Another quip at her expense, but he knew she didn't mind. She was the kind of woman that liked a challenge, she wouldn't chase her brother to the ends of the earth otherwise. She would get bored otherwise.

He noted the slight change in expression, short as it may have been, he had seen the same expression on many faces in the past. Soldiers that just wanted to go home to loved ones, missing the life they had left behind. Jack was never much of a patriot, no matter how many commendations he could have gotten, he had no family, just a job. The expression on his face didn't change during this train of thought, they were just thoughts after all.

"Overcompensating for something? Already afraid you can't keep up huh?" He struck back at her with the comment, relating the comment to their current endevour.

"Shit yourself?" He ended her sentence, not making too big a deal of her cutting herself off, figuring she just thought it was too embarrassing to mention.

"That's alright, we all get scared sometimes." He followed with that verbal jab, now waiting for her to ask her next question.

"Ask, or admit defeat, either way is fine by me."

Chevy took note of her bottle being a little more full than her partners. Her stubborn side told her to man up, to not be out-done by this jar-head. But she knew he could out drink her by this point. She felt if she stood up,she'd have to focus more than usual just to balance.

The two swords strapped to her back felt heavy all of a sudden, but she didn't remove the straps that held them there. She rolled her shoulders a bit, tipping her stool back, letting it rock back on two feet. "Horizontally eh? Wouldn't you like to know." she winked, taking another shot.

She realized the game had digressed into simply admitting facts, drinking was occurring either way.

"Overcompensating? Let's hope you never have to find out." she chuckled, eyeing his bottle again, and back to hers. She had to think of a more clever way to win this.

Though the booze was inhibiting that ability. She thought for a moment.

"It's just yer liver is a lil more.. conditioned than mine is." she mocked a pout, settling her freckled face into a frown.

She felt she had to step up her game.

"Lessee... if we were alone together. Given the chance to do anything, what say you of this irish girl from the hills?" she grinned, holding her glass up to him.

It was just experience that separated them, but he hadn't met many women who could drink like her, which was probably a good thing or he'd have lost most of his braincells wooing them. That didn't mean he didn't annihilate his fair share so far however.

"Pretty sure the curiosity isn't mine alone." He knew this was a little bit of a verbal duel, she had sharp wits and that alone was making it fun, regardless of what bed they ended up in at the end of this night. He wouldn't mind making the verbal more physical though, he was still in good condition even if he was a bit older than her.

"Who knows, might be fun to find out." He was already quite confident of his victory and downed another drink just to show off his impending win. He had shared drinks with purebred Russians and even then he could get the victory.. Most of the time.

"Experience, I told you."

Her last question however was obviously the curiosity, she was interested, even after all this time he could still win over a pretty woman, even if he wasn't the greatest playboy. The mystery about him tended to wear off after a while, probably one of the reasons he never did hold a relationship over the years.

"I'd show you what a man with experience could do." It wasn't much of a question really but fun enough to answer.

"Wanna shorten the eight and something months in to something more manageable?" Direct, it was how he had always been, more so after a few drinks.

She looked this man over, allowing herself to take in the full details now. A strong jaw line, well built, he certainly wasn't lacking in the looks department. She found herself curious how his performance matched up. She smiled, "I never said it wasn't yours alone. Though I never said I specifically shared it either."

Chevy watched him curiously, wondering if he was jesting, or if his offer was one of seriousness. Her eyes searched his before she grinned, pulling a few bills from her pocket and placing them on the counter. What the hell could I lose? she thought as she hopped from the bar stool and waited for him.

"You make eight months sound like an awful long time... Though I'm not sure a man of your caliber could impress me." she shot back at him playfully, grabbing the bottle from the table, only a fourth of it left, she took a swig straight from it.

"Lead the way." she gestured for the door, unaware of the tail that had managed to make its way out, twitching back and forth in anticipation.

"Never needed to be said." He retorted, swift and concise. He poured himself a triple and downed it, leaving some money on the bar himself, figuring he couldn't be the only one to pay and definitely not after winning, even if she hadn't truly given up.

He looked her over head to toe once more, definitely not minding the attention he was getting from this Irish firecracker and definitely in for more. "Not as long as it will feel if you take another eight months after tonight." He was really boasting, he still had to make true his words but he worked best under pressure, right now all he wanted was to end this night with fireworks.

He had downed the last glass and grabbed the bottle, no use leaving it around here anyway, could be of use this evening. He had been staying at a simple hotel, wasn't too expensive, but not filthy. He started to wonder however if he had overestimated his own resistance to liquor when he stood up, his eyes on Chevy.

Is that a tail? He had seen plenty of strange things but that was not one of them. "I must be drunk, but you've got a tail.” He said out straight, not too loud however, he wasn’t that kind of drunk. Regardless of what he saw, which he just took as imagination, he took her hand and as she asked, led the way.

He led her to the hotel, having let her hand go and places his arm around her instead, figuring they could both use the balance and she smelled nice, probably a lot better than his smoke and liquor scent.

She was finding she was enjoying his character, the more she got to know him. His lack of words sort of suited him. Added to the mystery. She never knew she liked a man of mystery, but here he was proving her wrong.

"I must be drunk... but you've got a tail."

At first she didn't think she heard him correctly, assuming he was making a jab at her looks. Then she realized that she had let a part of the shift take form and quickly dispersed it, her face turning bright red.

Miraculously, he seemed to dismiss it, perhaps he thought he was imagining things.

She felt a small flutter of doubt in her chest, a small piece of her protesting what they were about to do. But as he grabbed her hand and confidently led her from the bar, she felt the doubt whisk away, and a heat she hadn't felt in a while take its place. Meow, Mystery Man... she thought, the heat doubling in its intensity as he brought her under his arm.

She was grateful for both the steadiness it provided, and also his scent. It was sharp, of cigar smoke and liqour. Though not unpleasant. He smelled like a man, and she quite enjoyed the scent.

They neared the hotel and she stayed beneath his arm, her hand resting on his forearm, matching his pace.

"You're rather confident. I hope you don't plan on disappointing me." she quipped as they crossed the entrance.

The room he stayed in was pretty tidy except for the table which had a full ashtray and some burn marks on it, which showed that Jack was quite the smoker. He took off his coat, wearing a simple black tank-top beneath it fitting snug around his form. He was very muscular but it showed that he had been out of the service for a little while, he wasn’t quite as defined as he once was but it simply added to his stature.

”This is where I live for the time being.” He was still heavily affected by the alcohol but it only enhanced his mood, roof over his head, beautiful woman that came with him, smokes and liquor. What more can a man really want on an evening.

”Disappoint? Make sure you keep up.” He sat down on the couch, leather and smooth but had obviously seen a few years of service. He patted the seat next to him and took two glasses from a little cub-bard below the table and filled them up.

”New game” It was a night filled with games, he was enjoying it so there was no need to stop now.

”Piece of clothing for every question you ask.” He figured her as the curious type, this way she could indulge her curiosity and at the same time indulge his eyes and probably more to come. He gave a slight grin as a challenge, he knew she wouldn’t refuse the game, she came this far.. It would be a win win situation for her.

”In trade, I won’t refuse answering.” There was little he couldn’t divulge anyway, if it came to it.. He’d think of something.

The room they entered was unsurprisingly tidy. For all the military men she had met, she noticed that among physical and emotional scars that followed them out, they also retained most of the uncluttered way their rooms were kept. Allowing her eyes to adjust to the light, she surveyed it quickly. Noting her exits first and foremost, like always.

She smiled inwardly, amused at her own subconscious instincts.

When Jack removed his coat she took him in as well, letting her eyes follow the muscles that wrapped his arms, and then down to where the tank top hugged his middle. She wasn't shy about this at all. She knew what she liked and wasn't afraid to admit it.

"This is where I live for the time being."

She took note of that too. A hotel, a temporary place of stay. That would mean he was either not staying long, or wanted a low profile and no physical address to be tied to his name.

Surprised at the slight dismay she felt to think of the first option, she shook it off.

She laughed at his next words, "We'll see just whose panting by the end of this night." a mischievous glint sparked in her blue eyes as she settled beside him on the couch. She slipped the strap that held the swords off and over her head, setting them beside the couch, following suit with the dagger around her thigh.

She took the glass and eyed the liquid for a few moments before taking a sip as he explained this new game they were to play. She couldn't help the slight blush that kissed her cheeks, and found herself forcing it away. Between the lighting, the booze, and her irish attributes, he shouldn't notice.

"Not that I've got much to remove, so I'll be sure to make these questions good." she grinned, leaning back and swirling the liquid around in the glass, thinking for a moment.

She grinned wider, tipping the glass back as she downed the drink. Moving her hands to her braid, she swiftly took it down and gripped the edge of her shirt making sure to slide it up slowly before lifting it over her curly red locks.

Underneath revealed a red bra with a fine black lace lining the edges cupping her breasts. She wasn't a very busty woman, an average C, but with her thin and athletic form it was plenty.

She leaned towards him slightly, running her tongue over her lips. "What gets you off?" she smiled at him through long lashes. She knew he wouldn't have an issue answering it considering the purpose they were here, but she wanted to ask anyhow, so she wasn't going in blind.

Moon was already high in the sky and the pale light was shining through the blind, right before Jack shut them. He didn’t want any people peeping or even knowing where exactly he was inside the room. It was right before he sat down and only a few moments after his eyes were drawn towards the sound of fabric rubbing past her skin, revealing the lace undergarment beneath. He wanted to reach out already but this was a moment better savored. He took his glass and took a sip, not taking his eyes from her for even a moment.

”We’ll see indeed.” This would be a good night, her question didn’t surprise him though, it was bound to be something fitting the moment. He grinned, putting his hair back and pondering the question.

”What gets me off..” He couldn’t help but smirk, what would be the best answer right now. He knew a lot of things that excited him, he enjoyed it rough and she seemed like she had plenty of fire inside of her to indulge him.

”Let’s put it this way, we might wreck the room finding out.” He wasn’t kidding, he enjoyed the idea of breaking a few things whilst ravaging her. Once again however he found himself desiring more of her and decided to sathe that desire by lighting up a cigar. The dim light inside the room filled with smoke only made the scene better, her beautiful body and sexy lace made the scene just perfect for a night like this.

”Do you have any more questions?” He said after he had answered, he wanted to see more and no doubt she wanted to know more.
