| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Zane had walked from his place to the boardwalk. He lived close by so there was no point in taking his motorcycle, and he felt like stretching his legs. He took a drag of his cigarette and blew the smoke straight up over his head, adjusting the motorcycle goggles on his forehead. Indeed he had left his bike at home, but he still wore the goggles. He didn't feel right without them on. As he walked along the boardwalk his stomach started to rumble. He looked around for any good restaurants he could eat at. Of course the boardwalk had all kinds of restaurants. It was just a matter of what Zane was in the mood for. Something distracted him from his search of cuisine. A car driving, or rather bouncing down the road. Something was clearly seriously wrong with the vehicle. Zane only hoped that the driver would be smart enough to pull over. The car drove slowly, so it was holding up the traffic behind it. Zane gestured to an empty parking spot close to him, hoping that the driver would notice and take the hint. He could then offer his assistance in fixing the car, or at least mending it enough for the owner to drive it to a repair shop. He took another drag of his smoke as he waited for the driver to either continue bouncing down the road, or grab the parking space he had gestured towards. The car was drawing the attention of everyone walking along the boardwalk. How could it not with all the noises it was making? Zane wondered what the hell had been done to royally screw up the vehicle like that. It sounded like there was a bag of cats living under the hood. Smoke started to rise from the hood, indicating that the engine was overheating. Zane frowned. The car didn't seem worth saving. Sure, he was good with repairs, but he was no miracle worker. Still, he would see what he could do. The driver seemed to have noticed him, as the car did indeed pull over in the space he had suggested. He sighed with relief and approached the car. The traffic returned to its normal pace. Zane waited for the driver to roll down the window so he could talk to him. When the window did roll down he noticed that it was a young girl. He almost rolled his eyes. Typical. Of course it was a girl that messed the car up so bad. She'd probably neglected basic maintenance like changing the oil for who knows how long. Still, he put on his nice-guy smile as he looked at her. "Car trouble?" |

Now it made sense. Zane thought it was cute how she liked the soaps enough to return again and again for more. She was clearly a girl of habit, which was nice. Not exactly predictable, but consistent. He looked over the selection of soaps, and was impressed with how lifelike the animal-shaped soaps were. A particular one caught his interest: An orange soap shaped like a wolf. He picked it up and smelled it. It was a pleasant scent, and not too strong. He smiled and pulled out his wallet. "I'll take this one." He paid for the soap and they headed back to her car. Once they got there Zane put his new soap in one of his bags, and grabbed the bags from the car. He could walk home from here, and their business was done. "So I guess this is it until tonight. Let's exchange numbers so I can call you later for the address." He smiled and pulled out his phone, ready to save her phone number. |

Alix nodded and smiled when he asked for her number. She pulled out hers and smiled reading her number allowed. She still had a smile from her face from the soaps. She looked at him placing her soap in her purse where it wouldn't get lost. She smiled looking at him and nodded. "Zane, I don't know how much I can thank you from everything you did for me today. It was really, the nicest thing someones done for me in while. You are such a great guy. So I guess Ill see you tonight and hopefully your friend as well. So bye. Alix walked back to her car and got inside waving one more time and sighed pulling out of the parking lot and drove off to her apartment to clean it up a bit for later. |
