| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? "9:55 ... Five more minutes" Laura jumped up onto the counter and grabbed hold of comic book and set it into her lap. There wasn't anything for her to do until they closed and there weren't any customers to attend to, so Laura was pretty much going to kill five minutes by reading the new super girl comic she had just received that morning. Things were beginning to get back to normal, at least slightly. After the fun times with Tatsuo in the forest, she had decided to take a break from saving men in distress. She hadn't seen Tatsuo since the incident, but she did give him the means to find her once again. That was if he wanted to. There was no forcing him to come and find her, or anything. She was sure that he may even hate her after what had happened. Granted Scarlett was the one that had hurt him the worse, but at least he survived. He had the red head to thank for that. Chuckling softly thinking about him and the incident, she flipped the page and took a deep breath. " 'In another life~ You'd be my guy. We'd keep all our promises; us against the world~' " She was singing softly to herself. " 'The one that got away...' " The words would be hard for anyone to hear, almost impossible, but the melody was hearable from the door. It was nice, very smooth. Laura wore a shirt that had Thor on it, with a small bubble that wrote 'this is my hammer, there is no other like it'. Black leggings hugged her legs and red boots wrapped up her calves. Her long brunette hair was straightened today, unlike other days were she left it slightly wavy. "Four minutes..." |

He literally wanted to stand there holding her hand. Laura could feel her heart beginning to race a bit faster. Was she tired? No, she literally had unlimited amounts of stamina, her heart rate always stayed steady even after a marathon. This was the same heart race she had that night at dinner with Jin. Though, this time she felt something different: nervousness. "Heh.." She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and turned her head off to the side. She'd never blushed before, but soon her cheeks were beginning to rise with heat. It was hard for Laura to still be clueless after this next statement. Crazy about... her? This crazy, unexperienced, tree hugging, freak of nature. He was crazy about that? Her hazel eyes shifted back to him as she looked at him with a curious glance. "Well, no I wouldn't be that rude as to just... not invite you in for something to eat or even a drink." Her entire face seemed to heat up, but she attempted to ignore it. Though it was sad that a player was making her feel this way. Even if he was crazy about her, she had no idea what it meant to feel this way for anyone. Sex. Passion. Love. It was all pages in a book. If Laura was any normal girl that lived a NORMAL life she would've seen that player in Tatsuo. However, clueless and naïve, the brunette wouldn't see it. "I-- uhm, well I have no idea what to say." Did I mention she was also corky? With a shrug of her shoulders and a nervous laugh, she lifted her hand to the back of her neck and rubbed it gently. "It's like I got sock in my mouth whenever I want to respond to you." Her pearly whites bare as she smiled nervously .'Ohh boy, what do I do..' |

The way she bit her lower lip made Tatsuo's blood boil with desire. He could be bold and stupid and go straight to the point; have his way with her here and now... but he knew better than to do that. Sometimes a dish needed to cook slowly until it reached the perfect point, then it'd taste the best. At the mention of her inviting him in, Tatsuo smiled. She was so easy... he could barely believe it. Any other girl he tried that guilt trip on would just laugh it off as a joke, which is what he kind of expected; but she seemed to take it seriously and he couldn't be more delighted. This promised to be a hell of a date. The more he watched her behavior the more excited he became. It was almost as if the girl was a virgin, and there was nothing in the whole wide world that turned him on more than the thought of deflowering an innocent little virgin. He shyness, the way she tried to avoid his gaze, her nervous laughter... it all played well to that one fantasy of his. As she let go of his hand and scratched her neck, he moved it up to her chin and pulled her face back towards his, standing a mere inch or two apart from one another. His hand caressed her cheek and brushed gently a few strands of her off her face. His won teeth -albeit not as white and shiny as hers due to his constant smoking, showed as he smiled sweetly at her. "Then do not respond until you know what to say. Go close down, Laura. I'll be a good boy and wait for you." He knew when to push, but more importantly he knew when to let go. He caressed her cheek one last time, then lowered his hand, which went to his pocket as he leaned on her desk, still staring at her. He couldn't wait to get out of the shop and take her home, anyways. |

Her heart had begun to fly out of her chest when she felt his hand move to caress her cheek. This unpluck flower was so clueless as to what was going on. Granted she could kind of see the intensity in his eyes, he was like a hunter going for its prey. Was she his dinner for the night? Preposterous, there was no way that Laura would let him feed on her in such a manner. Even as oblivious as she was, when the moment came he tried to do something, that's when she'd... do something. What that was she had no idea. Nor would she until that kind of situation rose. 'Why are men such a mystery to me...' She thought giving him a smile, her eyes shifting from off to the side back to him every so often. Her hand raised and she caught his before he completely removed it from her. "Thanks." Licking her lips and smiling she scooted past him and moved towards her back office. Leaving the door open, Laura moved around her desk that was in the middle of the room and sat down. All she needed to do was write down some bank statements for tomorrows drop, file some paperwork, input information into the computer and she'd be done! Normally it was about a thirty minute process, so hopefully he was patient. Just as she sat down, a paper flew off of her desk and skidded across the floor. "Oops." She said softly under her breath, and got back up. The struggle. Moving back around her desk she turned and picked up the few papers that had fallen. Her shirt slightly lifted showing the small of her back, and just how tight her leggings were, were easily visible to Tatsuo who had the perfect view from beyond the door. |

It was a view Tatsuo enjoyed, of course. Come to think of it he didn't recall having checked her ass, not even once before. He was mostly lying on his back and having her on top of him as he bled to death, so he'd never really gotten a chance to. He wasn't one bit disappointed. His lips curved into a twisted little smirk as he pictured himself spanking that juicy ass and ramming his crotch against it, an hour or so from now. There were so many things he wanted to do to her... Uh-oh... careful there. Keep it in the pants till later. He could feel the arousal work its way to his manhood, and did his best to hold it back for now. "Take your time, sweetheart. I'll be right here, enjoying the view." As usual, Tatsuo made it sound as if he was joking only not really, and even someone as naive as Laura could tell he meant what he said. The cursed man stayed put however, and waited for her to finish her duties. The sooner she did, the sooner he could turn those naughty thoughts into reality. |

Laura chuckle at his joke, "Oh you." Oh how simple she was, to not see the bad boys in life. It wouldn't be long until Laura would finish up her work, tidy up the shop, and turn out all the lights and head out with Tatsuo. She threw on a light jacket and locked up the shop behind them and were off towards her apartment complex. It wasn't too far of a walk, but it would give them a moment to catch up. "So, what've you been up to since we last saw each other?" She asked with a smile across her face. Laura stayed close to him, not knowingly doing it on purpose, she brushed her shoulder against him playfully and let out a heavy sigh. "And please don't tell me that you have been going back into the forest. At least not by yourself." She joked. Laura knew that the wilderness and wild weren't for everyone. She could remember the first time her father threw her into the forest without any food, water or extra clothing. It was a mad house out there, and she barely survived. She couldn't lie to herself, having someone walking her home was very pleasant.. Very pleasant indeed. |

"Are you not cold wearing only that?" He couldn't help noticing how lightly she dressed for such cold weather. Then again, she did not leave much to imagination when they first met at the woods, and it was just as cold then. He guessed she had a good resilience when it came to cold and shrugged the thought away. Tatsuo smiled at her as they walked, and when she brushed her shoulder against him he immediately took her hand in his and pulled her close, keeping her next to him. Their fingers laced. "Well, I've been rather busy these past few days... not dying. Been doing a lot of healing wounds and stuff, you know, the usual." At her mention of the woods he sneered. God he hated that place. "I wouldn't be caught dead in that place. Ever again. Ever." That hateful guy, Yun... he would love that pun. Asshole. He collected his thoughts once more and turned to her. There wasn't much on his mind right now besides images of her naked, sweaty body, but he knew he had to show interest in more than that. Not that he did not care at all to learn about her, it was just not on his current list of priorities. Maybe tomorrow morning over breakfast he'd be genuinely interested, but for now it was all small talk and necessary foreplay. Yet it was something he had to do. "How about you? Don't tell me you actually like going there... for fun?" It was a rhetorical question of course, but teasing was fun. "What have you been up to since you left me in the hands of other, naked women other than yourself? If I didn't know any better I'd think you didn't like me." He winked. |

"Oh, not particularly." Laura found it best not to explain a lot of her weirdness to people. The moment she told him she was thrown into the forest during a snowy winter to survive with only a shirt and shorts on for four weeks, would scare just about any sane person away. Whether Tatsuo was completely sane wasn't for Laura to judge, so it was best to play it safe; for now at least. "But thanks for, uh, you know... noticing." She was awkward, but at least it was adorable. Heaven knows if she wasn't attractive there would be no way her awkwardness would be taken so lightly by most. Feeling Tatsuo take her hand and pull her closer to him, she tensed up. Her shoulders raising a bit and her lips pressing against one another. She was too embarrassed to ask what he was doing, and heaven knows she wasn't going to face him with the bright red color raising to her cheeks. Distracting herself with the view of the water on her left, she listened to him speak. It was plainly obvious to him that she was nervous, if not for the tight grip of her hand against his, but the heat she was now admitting. 'This is one area I wish I had a mother for growing up...' She thought, trying to keep her attention fully on him without exploding or doing something she'd regret; like screaming and running away. Laura relaxed just a bit when he commented about her wanting to go out into the forest. It made her laugh, "I actually go out there everyday. Normally trying to spend the weekends hiking and camping." It was a serious answer, even if he wasn't seriously asking her. Again, she wasn't too good with social things. The most social of gatherings she'd ever had was with a pack of wolves she had to kill to eat for four days. His question pulled her tension back as she nervously chuckled. Her shoulder once again bumping into him, but this time on purpose as to say 'oh shut up'. "I do like you, Tatsuo. But the red head seemed to have it under control. Plus, I'm sure you had had quite enough of me that night." That was a serious statement. "I figured I'd see you again." That, wasn't so serious. She had no idea whether she would've seen him again or not, but that didn't keep her from hoping. "As far as what I've been doing, working and ... enjoying nature." She'd keep the hunting part out. Not many people liked hunters. Taking a deep breath she looked towards him, her cheeks had died down thankfully, and the embarrassing feeling she had when he had first grabbed hold of her hand seemed to simmer down a bit. Friends can hold hands, right? Yeah, they can... "I hope you're hungry. I had planned to cook when I got home." She'd not mention the cut up deer she hunted down yesterday was what was on the menu. "I've got good Wine too, so I hope you like that as well." Who didn't like wine? That was a stupid question... She was being stupid. |

Tatsuo shook his head as he chuckled. "See, that's one thing I've never understood. Why people like hiking and... the outdoors. I mean, I get it, there's fresh air and birds and.. trees? But every time I've been there I either get bored out of my mind or something tries to eat me." He was a good liar, but he could not, for his life, pretend he liked the fucking woods. So he hoped she'd take his honesty with humor. "I guess I'm just a city boy. I need action and excitement. Peace and quiet... or you know, hungry beasts trying to tear the flesh off my bones isn't really my thing." As she bumped him again and made reference to his... enjoying her proximity, it only turned him on. He wasn't embarrassed, not one bit. The fact that she expected to see him again, the fact that they were here, walking together hand in hand... that she said she liked him, it all clearly meant she had liked it just as much as he had. He squeezed her hand as he looked at her once more, slowing down his pace a little. "I like you too, Laura. I guess I never really said it this way... but I do." He stopped altogether, forcing her to stop as well. Tatsuo's free hand came up once more and caressed her cheek as they stood in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking the way for other passerby's who were forced to walk around them. "I can't possibly have enough of you. All our previous encounter did was make me crave for more." He smiled at her briefly, then dropped his hand and joined it with the other, holding Laura's. "I so look forward to getting to know you better... much better." With that, he started walking again, still holding her hand only this time his thumb ran up and down gently, caressing it as they walked the way a loving boyfriend would. "I'm not hungry... for food. But I'm sure I will enjoy anything you decide to offer me." He did not look at her as he said those words. That had probably been a little too much, but he hoped she either laughed it off and let it simmer in her head, or that she was too naive to get it. Wine... whoever drinks that crap? Maybe I can buy some sake on the way... |

Laura smiled, not commenting on what he said. She understood that the outdoors weren't for everyone, but to her it was everything. She may live in the heart of the city, but in her heart she lives in the wild. It's why she spent most of her time out in the wild. Everything, from the smell of the trees to the feeling of grass between her toes, Laura loved it. There wasn't a better feeling then being out in the fresh air, not smelling the gross exhaust of the cars and the filth that humans dropped on the streets. It was probably a love she'd share with herself, but that was alright, she was use to being alone. "It isn't for everyone, I understand that." That was all she'd say on the subject. It took her by surprise when he began to slow down, and finally came to a complete stop. He turned to her so she followed suit. She was glad he liked her, she figured as much seeing as though he came and saw her on his own free will. Laura wouldn't understand if he hated her and yet still came to see her. That would've been strange. "I'm glad." She said, tilting her head off to the side and smiling warmly at him. "I'm also thankful I'm not boring for you to get tired of me." When he followed up by moving again, she held his hand as she had before and continued walking. Feeling his thumb caressing hers, she bit softly at the corner of her lip and the smile across her face grew bigger. She didn't understand why, but it was happening and she necessarily didn't hate it. "Oh, yeah me too." She said in response to him wanting to get to know her better. "From head to toe, or brain to ... body whatever." There was confusion in her sentence, but what she meant was getting to know all of him. Laura never had friends, boyfriends, etc., so this was nice. Thankfully they wouldn't have to walk very far, her apartment complex could be seen from where they were. She lived in the condominium towers off the boardwalk that looked over the water. She smiled when she saw her home, she'd be able to get comfortable very soon and cook that delicious deer she had been thinking about all day. Her attention was brought back to Tatsuo when he commented about how unhungry he was for food. She was oblivious to the sexual innuendo, and it was obvious by her response. "Oh well, that's fine you may get hungry when you smell what I'm going to make." She should've stopped there, "If not, I'm sure we can find something to do that doesn't involve eating food." She was definitely oblivious, it was oddly adorable. Moments would pass before she turned to look at him and said, "So which big gang are you associated with here in Niwa?" The grin on her face pointed at being playful, but her tone sounded serious. She knew that nine out of the ten people in Niwa were part of some form of gang. She didn't care either way what Tatsuo was or who he was, but she was curious how he respond, if he would respond was more like it. It was more of a playful, unserious question. Seriously. |

Tatsuo was silent for a moment and simply continued walking, seemingly ignoring her question. When he finally spoke, his tone was nowhere as friendly as it had been thus far, but made it seem as if he he was rather put-off by her question. "I get it. I got tattoos and so of course I have to be a gangster. I have to say I do look the part, huh? I fit perfectly in this place." He was messing with her, of course. But in a way it was a bit of a sensitive topic, knowing she'd seen the demons on his skin, the curse that he bore which he knew he hadn't deserved. Not then, as an innocent child. He had learned to accept it and use it to his advantage, but sometimes it did bother him how people judged him for the colors of his skin. This wasn't one of those times, though, but a little guilt and vulnerability could do wonders in a woman's psyche. If she thought she'd hurt his feelings she would go out of her way to please him just to make things right. And oh, how he wanted to be pleased... He looked at her with a half-assed smile. "I'm a skin artist. So I guess you could say I am 'associated' to all the gangs in Niwa, since many often come to me to have their tattoos made." Tatsuo had the feeling they would skip dinner to find something else that 'didn't involve eating food.' |
