Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Chinatown ~ The Prosperous Garden

The City seemed to hold its breath only one more minute to go. One more minute until Niwa erupted into fireworks and celebrations. Even the residents of Chinatown ~ though, the Chinese New Year was always a bigger event in these parts. But when in Rome... or when in Japan. The sentiment was the same.

Wraith’s shadow form darkened along the outer walls as he shifted closer to the festivities within the Garden. The Empress had not said a word to him since that night, since the night he had slammed her against the wall and made his stance on all things relating to Scarlett abundantly clear. For a time she had respected that. Xifeng had kept her distance... that was until tonight. The order was clean, precise and left no room for interpretation.

The old men had sat in their comfortable seats long enough... they did not want war, they were not prepared for it. They wanted to cower behind their titles and their wealth. If it had not been for Jin Tsui’s insistence that the threat, this threat was very real, she would have already slaughtered every last one of them. But the man never let up, he never let his guard down. Wraith had seen as much, he knew the Triad chairman as well as any man could without ever having met him face to face. He was, in the shade’s opinion, one of the single remaining shred of honour and dignity the Tai Yeung leadership had left. The rest were aging cowards...

Thankfully they were about to stop aging.

Jin Tsui was off limits, under pain of death no one was to touch him... she wanted him brought before her in chains, the Empress wanted nothing more than to gloat over her impending victory. And Jin, the Chairman was to be her trophy. Stuffed and mounted if she so desired.

The Tai Yeung celebrated, already well into their drink while the entire of the Xin Hop force lurked in the shadows surrounding the Prosperous Garden. They only waited for the first firework to be let loose into the clear night sky. They were going to lay waste to everything that moved. There were going to be losses, heavy losses to both sides. But Xifeng was already moving her pieces into position to secure everything which had once belonged to the Tai Yeung. As for those old men, she had yanked on the leash of her shadow pet to slaughter each and every last one of the Aunts and Uncles before delivering Jin to her.

Miranda had always been an effective guard dog, like a wolf that guarded the den with a killer instinct. However in this situation she was a wolf that had been thrown into a tiger pit, and she would be torn apart at this rate. These shadow warriors seemed to disperse when hit by a barrage of bullets, but they returned quickly.

In all accounts, despite her skill, fitness, willpower, fearlessness and hardened resolve, she was human through and through. Against monsters like this she could only stall them in the chaos, and when the bullets ran out she didn't stand a chance in close quarters combat. Her hands were grabbed and jerked behind her, causing a cry of pain as her hands were squeezed to the point she dropped her weapons.

She was forced to watch helplessly as pig ears was butchered in front of her, one of the few members of the council she could actually stand. Not even minutes ago they were having an enjoyable conversation and now she was being held while she had to watch those she was meant to protect die in front of her. It didn't mean she didn't struggle, of course, but all that got her was her left arm being dislocated.

A grunt of pain escaped her lips as that happened just before the first shadow assassin grabbed her chin to make her look at him. The look she gave him was pure rage, but it seemed like he regretted everything that was happening, like he was being forced to do it. He even told her the way to save everyone that was still alive shortly before he vanished.

She looked around at the remaining triad fighters, and many of them had their eyes fixed on her. She knew she couldn't stay down, the chairman's guard dog being broken would destroy morale. With precision she only had because of her cousin, she grabbed her arm and with a grunt of pain she forcefully relocated it. She would go see Wade later to fix any damage she had caused, but right now she had a war to fight.

Her rage beginning to boil over, she slowly knelt down to retrieve her knife, and one of the attackers made the unfortunate mistake of being over confident enough to get within melee range of an extremely pissed of wolf. The tigers had left, and these people were in the wolf den. The weather was about to change.

And it was going to rain blood.

She grabbed her knife, burying it in his left side just above the waist and with a cry of pure rage that would light a fire under the asses of anyone left under her command, she ripped the knife through his body to make a smile of blood across his torso that caused his organs to spill out as he fell on top of them. The next victim received the blade in the under side of his jaw, sending the blade directly up into his brain, causing a blood spatter to spray across the floor as she pulled the knife out. She turned to those who had stopped fighting to stair at her. "The fuck are you morons looking at? I'm fighting to buy you time get the fucking council out of here you stupid assholes! Use the escape routes!"

With that she sheathed her knife, picking up her handguns and reloading them with a look of ruthless determination in them. With a battle cry that shook the windows she let loose a volley of bullets that grounded anyone who dared come into the room that wasn't on her side. The bloodbath was just beginning, her hands the faucets, her rage the fire that kept it nice and warm for their cleansing before the gates of hell.

If every serial killer is someone we least expect, are we safest around those we expect will kill us?

**Li Jun of the Xin Hops**

Things weren’t going as well as initially expected… They expected to catch them entirely off-guard, to have everyone dead in a few minutes flat, but their secret weapon had vanished from the battlefield, and Li Jun was dreading the upcoming events. He was the 2nd in command of this operation, he wasn’t much to look at; an unassuming man in a black suit, black tie and shirt combo. Because of his position he actually wore a bulletproof vest.

His weapon of choice was a 9x19mm QSZ-92 pistol. This was a gift from the Empress herself for his services. He was one of the few lucky men to have lived through several operations unscathed. He was sharp, cautious and often kept himself out of harm’s way.

He barked orders, but he could feel them being in vain as the Tai Yeung group started overpowering his forces. The she-devil started taking down several of his men, but she was injured. He had to act quickly, take her down and ruin their morale. It proved fruitless, she tore through his forces, and the sounds of sirens in the background only burdened his dread…. If he retreats now…. He’d feel the wrath of The Empress.

If he were to get caught, he’d be deported back to his motherland and be tortured to death for his crimes.

Everything up to now, his entire life led to this single point in time, and if he was going to die, it would be soaked in the blood of his brothers. He was under cover, waiting for the she-wolf to run of bullets, where he<d peak out, shoot while closing the distance until he can get a free shot.

He ordered the few remaining men to follow suit, to go in the opposite direction, and to quickly surround her the precious seconds where she’d be stuck reloading.

**Lyn D. Keell**

The steel maiden pulled over her car, and took out her megaphone. She was fully equipped, helmet, body armor, knee pads, elbow pads, she was in full riot gear. There was a large amount of handcuffs attached around her waists. She wasn’t going to kill anyone, she was going to chase them all down if they didn’t surrender.

Her bulletproof shield was held in front of her as she shouted.

“This is the Niwa police force! Lay down your weapons and raise your hands up!» She only smirked as they refused to cooperate, some of them even brazen enough to lay some shots toward her.

“Fine! Consider yourselves under arrests!” She turned to her radio as she requested for CRASH pick up vans. She could’ve done it earlier, but… she wanted a taste of the action before everyone got involved. She charged during the bullet storm, amidst the confusion, she punched a gunmen straight in the gut, bending him forward in agony, as she swiftly pinned him to the ground, and attached the handcuffs behind his back.

There was one down, and so many to go. She relished it as she ran over to her next victim. A single metal fist was needed, turning every part of her body that stuck out of the shield into metal. Already one tried to shoot her ankle, only for the fabric to tear and reveal the metal skin beneath.
