| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? 31st December 2013 2315 hours Tenshi Island ~ Kagami-Ji ‘The Mirror Temple’ The Mirror Temple situated on Tenshi Island lay in its usually state of peace and harmony. The surrounding forest and the temple grounds were covered in two inches of snow. The numerous reflective pools were frozen over, adding to the serenity of the building. Beyond the pollution of the city lights there would be no moon rising in the sky that night. What light there had been was few and far between. Lanterns adorned and lit much of the temple itself and the immediate gardens. What did stand out were the abundance of heavily armed men patrolling the perimeter of temple grounds. What few genuine temple goes had been ushered from the building hours early so it could be transformed into the staging ground for the Xin Hop meeting. The Empress, Qiao Xifeng had gone to some pains to bring her potential backers to this place under the cover of a new year celebration. Paradise Park had a fireworks display planned for the evening that promised to light up the sky at the appointed hour. Not that Xifeng could see it. The limousine rolled to a stop at the front of the temple, when the door opened a single unimpressive figure stepped out. She was average height, though on the thin side. Her dead, lifeless red eyes fell on the men around her who seemed to visibly shrink from her. Her dress was business formal, her short hair framing around her face. As she stepped towards the temple of pair of well built bodyguards fell into stride behind her. Even from a distance it was obvious the size and potential strength of her personal guards was attributed to far more than performance enhancers. “See that my guest are shown in the moment they arrive.” Her tone was completely flat, but there was something of a smile on her features. Tonight was going to be something spectacular. One of the defining moments in the Triad war, if there was even going to be a war. After tonight, Jin Tsui and his Tai Yeung mongrels would roll over and sit or she would give them a new meaning of play dead. |

Akaiken's eyebrows furrowed together as she stood patiently with the others. The fireworks were amazing to be sure, but some of those pops she heard were well, a little more firearm than firecracker. Her instinct told her to run towards the sound blade in hand, but she hesitated, this was the Wo Shing Society after all and it was rare that their reactions were quite so honest. Instead she swallowed whatever discomfort she felt and continued to stand relaxed as though nothing in the world could phase them. Although her defenses certainly bristled at the oncoming storm. At first she was unsure of who the 'enemy' was in that moment, perhaps Eiji had brought another team and they were fucking up(doubtful), or perhaps the Empress had caught on to them already and was beginning a counter attack? No she didn't seem like she'd be able to keep her cool if she was ordering an attack... so... who? Within a moment she knew that it was not the doing of the seated woman the way she snapped at her underlings to 'See to it'. So it wasn't their responsibility anyways. But with such a distraction surely they didn't need to continue playing this petty game? The red-head watched the boss, a vacant expression on her face. The ice king held his mysteries well as always, and surely the only person who knew what he was thinking was himself. He nodded at Tatsuo who then led the push, leading their group to meet the enemy. "We stand by the Xin Hop. Don't hold back." She moved swiftly and wordlessly keeping in time, one hand moving to rest on her blade, kicking up the hilt so that she could perform a quick-draw attack the moment an enemy appeared before her. As she moved away from Zen she felt her vision clouding and her powers returning, though she didn't quite connect that he was the key at that moment. Instead she focused on building the calefaction in her blade and few key points of her body to skin-searing temperatures. From her hands up to her elbows and legs below the knee. A thin coating of super-heated air surrounding her attack points. It was definitely stretching her powers to the limit but as long as she didn't push past that limit she would be able to hold it just fine. She could only hope the enemy was even worth her putting in this much effort. |

| One could be forgiven for presuming the movements of the gray-haired man to be laziness. He lagged behind the rest, let them take the lead, moved at their heels at a pace precisely fast enough to keep a good twenty feet behind everyone else. But then, one isn't likely to realize the walking sphere of naturalization that is Zen. As it stands, his actions are focused on keeping his allies at full strength and giving him time to assess the supernatural threats on the other side of this battle. Needing to maneuver around allies was one reason Zen generally worked with none. But circumstances demanded, and this was just how it was going to be. |

Kyoki Kyoki's eyes shifted from the door where the inevitable gunfire was coming from, and raised an eyebrow. Maybe it was just her way of expressing her displeasure with the situation, but she wasn't exactly ecstatic to be fighting for someone they were play siding with. Kyoki huffed and listened to Tatsuo's words. The lavender eyed woman rolled her eyes; she didn't fight for anyone other than the Wo Shing, and because the Xin Hop was just a play thing for them at the moment, she didn't find the need to fight for their cause. Granted she was in no position to just leave, the only thing to do was fight~ unfortunately. "Such a waste of time." Kyoki said resting her arms at her side, and moved out the door. Battle awaited! Fiora "Hey w--! Fuck!" Fiora was too late the call out to the man she had locked eyes with. They would most definitely go straight to the Empress, that and call more guards. Her eyes shifted to Scarlett, "More are coming. Get beyond the wall." She wasn't all for barking orders, Fiora was a solo act so being a group was different, however she wasn't going to let Scarlett and her band of marry friends get ambushed thinking no more were on their way. The immortal thought of a long blade that Sairyou could shift into. The tip of the blade hitting the ground as she charged towards Scarlett and the entrance to the garden. She'd follow Scarlett, see the amount of guards that were ready to die, and grinned. She'd slip between the corners of their blind spots, leaving four of them to see her. Sairyou was going to get the blood he desired, as she charged off to the side, taking the one on the left she went straight for her neck. Scarlett Turning towards the entrance Scarlett heeded Fiora's words and moved inwards. What awaited them was what she had expected, at least the guards. The number was a different story, a dozen or so seemed about right. She honestly expected to see more, to be honest. That didn't meant they weren't on their way. They needed to take them down and continue moving, the longer that they stood around the more time the Empress had to either call back up or escape. Both options weren't positive ones; the only ending to this story was having her die. Whether it was by her hands or another of the Triad's, she was going to die. "Well, let's fight." She said lifting her hands up and gathering a fireball in either of them. There was only a split second before she threw them directly at two of the middle guards that stood between them and the entrance into the mirror temple. [ OOC; I promise to post more. NEMETIS As the events unfolded Nemetis aided in opening the gate for Scarlett as the others finished of the last patrol member. He watched what was happening as Scarlett attacked the two guard stationed by the main doors, he knew the projected outcome already. Scarlett did not have a choice, unless she genuinely thought she could overpower him. Nemetis would have pulled her into the dense cover of the bushes and pinned her against the solid stone. “We had a wall, and you have an illusionist... Every single person is here because of you, so make use of them.” There was concern in his tone as Nemetis’ plated figure stood before the firestorm that was Scarlett. He was going to force her to listen to reason. “Wake up and realise that the Empress is our goal, she can throw as many men against us and it will get us no closer to freeing Wraith. After all, that is who we are fighting for, or have you forgotten? I have just as much vested interest in freeing him, and I will not let this chance slip through my fingers.” His words were straight to the point as emotion fuelled his intent. One gauntlet pinned Scarlett to the wall as the other groaned under the pressure of his clenched fist, there needed to be a plan, all they had been told was to kill the Empress. If a tactician was what they lacked, it was something Nemetis would have to compensate for. Nemetis turned from the shadows as he spoke to the awaiting group. “We need to reach the Empress without distractions, Fiora is capable of killing swiftly, and that Brit... Let his Illusions confuse the guard while she finishes them off.” There was no compromise in his tone. He needed Scarlett to kill Xifeng and Nemetis needed her to focus. He was going with or without them. “We only have one target that requires our attention, we kill her and this war is over.” As his final words ran from his lips his hand dropped from Scarlett’s shoulder, she needed to understand where they stood now. His eyes ran along the shadows as he knew the guards are converging on this point, that means there are holes in their security there must be another way in. There was no hesitation as he followed along the wall, his pace would have been enough for everyone to keep up, if they reacted upon his advice. BRIT As Brit looked down he alone could see his invisible form, or the blade that dripped the last victim’s blood against the snow. It was all an illusion, the moment he stopped concentrating or gained enough distance the illusion would progressively fade and reality would once again take place. There was nothing more than the hint of a silhouette up along the wall as he paced up towards the gate. His Katana remained clenched in his firm grip as he smiled to himself... The trail of red droplets followed him before sculpting his name with the tip of his blade into the snow. Soon enough the snow will be covered in blood, for death and glory. Petty sheeple... They were worth nothing but aiding to his kill count. He overheard the tank bark something about his illusions. The grin that ran along his lips were something to fear as the Illusion left his body. His eyes ran straight to “They won’t see you coming princess.” The guards would not know what hit them... literally. All it took was a moment as he imposed the Illusion of the temple grounds over the surrounding area. It was a seamless transition to watch as every member of Scarlett’s group had disappeared from normal sight, and would remain so until they reached the limit of his Illusion, roughly half way along the wall that Nemetis seemed to be following. Every corpse that hit the ground surrendered to his Illusion as the garden area had become an eerie place of panic and imminent death. |

Scarlett No longer did she release the flames that she grasped in her hands did she feel the pull that brought her back towards the wall. A gasp escaped her lips as her eyes widened. Scarlett hadn't lost sight of the goal--no never, she could never forget--but maybe she was blinded by what was in front of her. She of course needed to use the group to its fullest, using Brit was all but perfect for this situation. However, Fiora was a key element she hadn't assumed would be there. Scarlett's eyes met Nemetis as he pulled away from her, Brit then shifted his crazy way to her and spoke. The red head was NOT a commander, she was NOT someone that lead an army, and she was NOT ready to do this. Killing didn't come as easy to her as it did to say Brit, Nemetis-- actually, all of them. Every single one of them knew what it was like to take a life without remorse. Scarlett had killed before this, yes, but she had done it out of self defense. This was an act she was bringing down upon the Xin Hop on her own free will. Even if most of them deserved death, especially the Empress, they hadn't started this fight: she did. So telling Brit to distract them while Fiora sliced their throats, it was not a simple order to give. The pyromancer would not ask, she was just let it happen. Unknowingly, this was a reason she asked Nemetis to come. He was a strong leader, she was just the face of it. Brit would start the illusion... Fiora would finish the act. Fiora At the corner of her eye she had seen Nemetis take Scarlett and pin her against the wall, instinct and her protective side for someone she cared for caused her to quickly charge towards the duo. Nemetis wasn't necessarily her friend, granted they were acquaintances because of Aurael, but that didn't make them close. The red head had been there for her after her accident, she had taken care of her when no one else would, someone putting their hands on her was not going to sit well with her. Though, undoubtedly the voice of reason in her called out to her to make sure before acting too hastily. Then she heard him speak to the group. They had a goal, not that Fiora was there to see it finished, but that was to get the Empress. She could easily handle the guards, and the ones that tried to enter after they made it into the Mirror Temple. Brit's illusions were not needed, but welcomed to make the kills easier. Turning back towards the guards, a grin crossed her lips. "Don't ever call me princess again." She said moving towards the group of guards that seemed oblivious to her being. Brit and her would make a deadly combo; Silas would find him quite interesting. Whether to kill him or befriend him, she had no idea. There would be little to watch as Fiora swiftly moved from guard to guard, each of them finding gashes in their throats and falling to the ground. Blood rained down to the floor, across her body and across Sairyou. He was getting exactly what he wanted. Whether it was uneventful blood, it blood nonetheless. Fiora turned towards the group, looking specifically at Scarlett when she spoke. "Go. I'll stay and keep watch for anyone else that enters or leaves. If the Empress tries to leave through the front," She chuckled, "Well, she won't get very far." The immortal knew Scarlett wasn't the best person for this certain job, but she knew she was capable. It seemed the Nemetis would be that crutch to hold her up and get her moving. "Now go." Scarlett Fiora's and Nemetis's words hit home, she had to do what needed to be done to get to the Empress. Fiora was ready to stand there and help, and Nemetis was ready to take charge and see it through. She needed to stay focused, use the group to its fullest and get to the Empress as fast as possible. Losing her now would mean... It just wouldn't be good. "Let's go." Scarlett said quickly stepping in the direction of the Mirror Temple's entrance, 'Thanks Fiora, I know you didn't want this, but thank you...' She thought as she brushed past Fiora and into the Temple with her gang. [OOC; Split-post, I won't post again until everyone else has] |

Ben Reaper Tai Ben took back the two knives from the man’s neck, and the body slumped to the ground. With a swift swipe of the air, the blood was ripped from the blade, cleansing them instantly as he placed them back in the holster in his sleeves. He chuckled as he saw the other man on the ground. His heart was pounding from what had just happened, though he hid it well; thanks to the mask and cloak that hide his body language. He said nothing to the illusionist as he walked away toward the gate, where everyone seems to be gathering. Ben smirked. With everyone there, he could go see to the Empress, while they distracted her guards… he took the first victim’s gun, it went unfired and still had a full clip, could be useful. Though given his powers shooting a gun is far trickier. He turned on the safety as he strapped it on under the massive black cloak. He was casual to the sounds of the guards scrambling as he hovered over to the tree where the scythe was and recovered it. He wasn’t interested in fighting random mooks. All Ben wanted was to marry the woman he loved. The Empress was preventing that joyous event from happening. The Plan was always to have the Empress die, and Ben would prefer it be by his hands. If only…. Because it would greatly reinforce his position in the Tai Yeung. Husband to an Aunt, 2nd in Command to Uncle Pig Ears…. Add the murderer of the Empress to the list of titles, and he’d be a shoe-in to be the next chairman. The amount of love he’d get from his wife would be insurmountable. There’d be zero doubt in anyone’s mind that he was the perfect man. They might not even hold an election once the term is up and give it to him directly. He was the Shinigami of the Tai Yeung, so while the others fought… Ben would try and circle around silently and reach the Empress. However, he hovered upward above the wall, and noticed the group had split. The illusionist and the white haired maiden with the divine ass were taking on the mooks, while the others went down the wall to circle it. Ben smirked as he glided back down to the corpses and took down a small radio. Of course, the guards would have a communication device. He toyed with it as he floated up the opposite wall, the right side of the gate. He was too far to be overheard by his allies. He mimicked the sound of a dying man, and toyed with the frequency to further conceal his voice. “Gragh… They split… heading up the left side of the gate…. Meta…No!” He cut the transmission. That ought to suffice. He added the meta part to clarify they weren’t ordinary assailants, so they’d sent their very best, away from the Empress. Ben made his way around the right wall. He took out his phone, and sent a quick text to Scarlett, hoping she too brought her phone. “Scouted ahead, Careful, they cumming. ;)” Sairyou Have you ever had a wonderful day? A day where everything went right? Someone you disliked had justice served, a surprise visit from a lover, a warm embrace, paying with exact change, finding out the government made a clerical error and deposited a nice amount of cash directly in your account, receiving a discount at your favorite restaurant for being such a loyal customer, and so much more? All these tiny joys, all succumbed and were felt by Sairoyu. He had fun, so much fun, and was emenating so much joy, it wouldn’t be surprising if Fiora started giggling like a little school girl. He shifted, continuously. He never remained as one weapon, a standard sword, a powerful looking demon blade, a blade that was crafter in heaven and so much more. He shifted into a scimitar to cut a goons head clean off, an elegant rapier to thrust into someone’s abdomen, shifting into a dagger to save Fiora the energy of pulling it out. They were in sync, and Fiora had no need to think for Sairyou to shift as he did…. They were a symphony of blood and death, and their sweet melody covered the battleground. Things were just getting started, and Sairyou couldn’t help but whisper in her ear. “You spoil me so, Fiora.” A pink blade with a matching hilt, with hearts all over as it trickled down with blood. |

As Eiji stepped back towards her, the Empress was the very picture of elegance and poise. Right up until the nonsense he started babbling around fell out of his mouth. Did he honestly believe he was the only one who could take the measure of a man? She let him speak, allowed him enough rope to hang himself with. She did not need the protection of his false little group. She was surrounded by a hundred armed Xin Hop men and a handful of gifted meta humans who were loyal. Not because they held any fondness for her cause, but because they feared her. Finally she stood, stepping away from Eiji and her two bodyguards fell into place beside her. She narrowed her eyes at the man before her, the disapproval written across her face for all the world to see. He was just another pathetic little worm. “This was never going to be a partnership. I have no intentions of sharing anything with you or your false Hong Yang Group.” She did not need him, and it was about time he realised that. At most she would have allowed his business front to operate freely within Chinatown. For a price of course... and that price had been his continual support. “I did not need your help to slaughter the Tai Yeung Council and secure Chinatown for my own. That is already done. As for your weapons... I could just as easily source from elsewhere. You overestimate yourself and your importance in this business, in Traid business.” She had never asked for his name, it would have implied that she cared one way or another who he was. To her, he was simply another nameless faceless resource she would have bleed out in the street if the War was not about to end. She had more important business to attend to, and if he thought for one moment she was going to cling to him like a hapless child for protection ~ he was going to be disappointed. Ishida Eiji had come face to face with one of the most powerful women in all of Niwa and he was found wanting. Xifeng was not some pathetic little puppet master who needed to beg for scraps from him or anyone else. He was dismissed, every fibre in her being screamed that this meeting was over and he would be better off crawling back into his hole than making an enemy of her. Holding a grudge was something the Empress had perfected. The two meat shields weren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, but they were fast and strong. Both of them were fixated on Eiji and the back of his little group almost begging the man to try something. Outside they could hear the intermittent spray of automatic fire and there was nothing they loved more than a good fight. Fair or otherwise. The average Xin Hop thug was not as dense as one may have suspected first looking at them. They needed to have a certain kind of intelligence to survive the Empress... So when the guards heading for the garden gate were assaulted by fireballs and cut down by nothing at all, it took a fraction of a second before the second wave of guards unloaded their clips directly into the space the first group had been standing with enough sideways spray to catch anything on the temple side of the wall. Shell casings were melting into the snow surrounding the men while the bullets ripped through the bodies of their fallen comrades and the rest of the garden for that matter. Smashing everything which could have resembled cover, only stopping at the wall itself. They were giving spray and pray a whole new meaning. It was either that or wait to get cut down as well. Yi focused his gaze on the garden. Invisible assailants? It wasn’t exactly new, but bullets had a way of stopping most things. The gate was still a hundred yards from the entrance to the Temple, well... the main entrance. As the radio in his hand came to life his eyes fell over the garden realising it for the diversion it was. He needed to secure the temple, not leave the holes in their defences. The Empress had a small army with her, but one crazy with some explosives could have put an end to that. Tatsuo and the entourage of black suits he had with him would have shown up in time to hear the transmission. He had no way of knowing they were not the ones responsible, or that they had been ordered to help. He was coordinating men to reinforce the rear entrance and to secure the sides. Yi was tactically minded, but even he was struggling to make sense of the chaos which had erupted. For all Yi knew, the suits were heading for their limousines and the safety of the city. Ha! Safety of the city... that was funny. If that was the case, it was less people he needed to babysit. He didn't hang around to find out. There were holes in his security right now because of this elaborate diversion and he was the only person he trusted to plug them. A few steps before the suited men reached him, Yi teleported away and landed somewhere atop the temple. Time to see what he could see. Teri quickly sidestepped out of the way of the Hong Yang men. She was, understandable, a non confrontational person. How else could she have survived working for Xifeng. But this was fast getting out of hand. She easily navigated her way past the suited men making her way back to the Empress. Hopefully she did not want to torture the messenger. Edited by Faith, Jan 15 2014, 02:12 AM.

"My dear Empress." The man seemed not to pay any mind to the pair of hulks moving to stand protectively next to their master. He merely pulled a chair- the very one she'd just been sitting on, and sat down comfortably facing her. He crossed his legs casually as he studied the young woman and her pathetic entourage. "You are so disappointing." He was. In this at least, he was being honest. He had invested time and effort to come here with his men, to see for himself if there was still a reason not to end his silent support and take the side of the Tai Yeung. He had found the opposite. He'd initially started this 'relationship' hoping that the Xin Hop's big numbers would eventually overpower the troublesome metas the Tai Yeung possessed without Wo Shing having to do much more than just squashing whatever cockroaches were left after the self-nuking of both gangs. Upon finally meeting 'her highness' he had only witnessed her and her people's ineptitude. He was almost shocked at what she had accomplished thus far, but as destiny had arranged it, tonight all of that would end and Wo Shing would play a helping hand in that regard. "You are wrong about almost everything you've just said, and the sad part is you'll never know it. For you are blinded by your ego much more so than by your own dead eyes." Eiji's voice was deep and strong, but his tone was relaxed and casual... almost friendly as he spoke. He felt like he was lecturing a five year-old girl who'd just thrown a tantrum at the grocery store. "You Might think you do not need the fictitious Hong Yang Group's help, but you did need the Wo Shing Society this whole time, if only to value you enough not to dispose of your little group ourselves. We have been keeping an eye on the Triads, the Yakuza and every other group who thinks they should own anything in this city... and we have decided you no longer hold any value to us. It is you who overestimate your importance in Triad business, Qiao Xifeng, for you'll soon cease to be a part of it." He couldn't expect her to know who he was, but given her past the Wo Shing Society should at least ring some kind of bell. Still, he doubted she had the clarity of mind to even come close to realizing what their involvement actually meant, however small it might seem at this point. Eiji and the whole Wo Shing for that matter, didn't really bother to explain themselves, and especially not to those they were going to dispose of, but he thought his people would appreciate him making some time. He adjusted his tie, pressing its clip for a split second and activating the hidden device in it. Tatsuo and the others would immediately receive the signal: a sudden vibration followed by the tiniest electric shock, meant only to alert them, should they be too engaged to feel the silent vibration on their chests. "You were right about one thing, however: this was never meant to be a partnership." ------------------------------------- The moment he was out of the hall and away from Zen's influence, Tatsuo's battle fever kicked in. It wasn't him as much as those he shared his body and mind with, but he used it to fuel his own thirst for blood. He saw the personal assistant, the snake girl pass him by and paid her no mind, searching for their enemy instead. Yi was next, a serious guy holding a communicator and the words coming out of it made him stop in his tracks. He was about to ask Yi something when the man vanished in thin air. "Gather around everyone! We're going to split up, as some of the intruders are trying to find a back door to the building!" He pointed at Kyoki. "You come with me." Then at Akaiken. "You and Zen--" Then they all felt the sting of the electrical discharge. Tatsuo stared at them silently for a moment. A malicious smirk took over his cold demeanor as he realized that bitch was about to get it. "Forget what I said. You all know what to do." And so their contingency plan came in full effect as the team received the signal from their leader: Destroy all Xin Hop men in sight, then head back and take the Empress alive if possible. Eiji had made it clear to Tatsuo that he would not kill the Empress himself, but he'd rather bring her as a gift of 'good will' to her enemies. Little did he know back then her enemies would show up tonight. That meant that these attackers were by default the Tai Yeung Group, and as of right now their new, unspoken allies. He turned around to face the yard again and quickly ran towards the Xin Hop men emptying their mags on the entire yard, it seemed. His hands worked fast as did his feet: the right unsheathed the blade swipe across one of the gunner's neck in one clean motion, aiming to behead him, as the left hand fired a single bullet point-blank at the guy next to him, aimed straight at his head. Before others turned to see him and realized what was going on he'd already be on the move, either dashing to the next thug in line or following up on his onslaught if either managed to avoid his surprise attack. (Since all out combat has started guys, let me set some ground rules. Firstly, you need to treat NPCs with some respect. They aren't there for you to mass murder and slaughter to your heart's content. I will give you all one free kill per posting round*, but beyond that your character can only attempt to put more than that on the ground. *The five meta humans (including the Empress) are exempt from this rule. Why am I doing it like this? As the event coordinator it is my responsibility to control the NPCs decide what happens to them, how they react and if they manage to do anything before they drown in a pool of their own blood. This is also the reason I will be split posting from here on, to help bring the whole battlefield to life. If anyone feels that this is going to limit their roleplay experience, or if they want permission to do something outside this scope, please PM me. I will never stand in the way of creative or resourceful character re/actions ^_^ ) |

Finally. Zen straightened in place, calmly moving forward to replace the Wo Shing members reversing to cut their way back into the compound. The Tai Yeung would have no immediate reason to cease hostilities, and he was best equipped to prevent any unnecessary casualties. He undid one button, two, of his suit coat, pulling free a pair of sealed wooden knives as he moved towards the doorway they had once been assembling to blockade. One of the Xin Hop thugs turned as the sounds of combat blossomed behind her, starting to bring her weapon to bear on the approaching Wo Shing monk. If any members of the Tai Yeung had ever seen the speed and ferocity with which Arthur fought, one of their own, the utter brutality of the efficiency with which Zen moves would seem unrealistically similar. He's barely visible as he tears across the space between himself and the gun-toting thugs, and despite what should be the utter inferiority of his weapons, the wooden blades make little more than a dull, meaty thud as he passes the woman. As he straightens and resumes his sedate pace towards the doorway, stopping only when he encompasses the entrance entirely within the field of nullification he generates, the woman had a split second to realize she'd missed her chance- and then the vertebra finished separating and allowed the skulls to fall from her shoulders. Zen stood there, blooded wooden blades dripping as he raised his voice. "KNOW YOURSELF AND YOUR ENEMIES! THIS DOORWAY IS SEALED TO MY ENEMIES- ONLY THOSE SHARING MY FOES MAY PASS!" Cryptic, perhaps- but to the Tai Yeung who just watched his blades butcher the Xin Hop thugs at the doorway, it was a clear statement- we are not your enemies. Now, to see if the message was understood. Edited by Discord, Jan 16 2014, 12:43 AM.
