| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? 31st December 2013 2315 hours Tenshi Island ~ Kagami-Ji ‘The Mirror Temple’ The Mirror Temple situated on Tenshi Island lay in its usually state of peace and harmony. The surrounding forest and the temple grounds were covered in two inches of snow. The numerous reflective pools were frozen over, adding to the serenity of the building. Beyond the pollution of the city lights there would be no moon rising in the sky that night. What light there had been was few and far between. Lanterns adorned and lit much of the temple itself and the immediate gardens. What did stand out were the abundance of heavily armed men patrolling the perimeter of temple grounds. What few genuine temple goes had been ushered from the building hours early so it could be transformed into the staging ground for the Xin Hop meeting. The Empress, Qiao Xifeng had gone to some pains to bring her potential backers to this place under the cover of a new year celebration. Paradise Park had a fireworks display planned for the evening that promised to light up the sky at the appointed hour. Not that Xifeng could see it. The limousine rolled to a stop at the front of the temple, when the door opened a single unimpressive figure stepped out. She was average height, though on the thin side. Her dead, lifeless red eyes fell on the men around her who seemed to visibly shrink from her. Her dress was business formal, her short hair framing around her face. As she stepped towards the temple of pair of well built bodyguards fell into stride behind her. Even from a distance it was obvious the size and potential strength of her personal guards was attributed to far more than performance enhancers. “See that my guest are shown in the moment they arrive.” Her tone was completely flat, but there was something of a smile on her features. Tonight was going to be something spectacular. One of the defining moments in the Triad war, if there was even going to be a war. After tonight, Jin Tsui and his Tai Yeung mongrels would roll over and sit or she would give them a new meaning of play dead. |

The armed Xin Hop men looked to the new arrivals with as much distrust as expectation. It was the middle of winter and they were wearing black pant suits like they were the men in black, all they needed was the sunglasses. One of the armed men leaned in to whisper to the Empress’ personal assistant but she waved him away before he could voice his concerns. He could tell it to the Xifeng herself if he really wanted to. Teri stepped towards the arriving vehicles. There was nothing remarkable about the Japanese woman in a snake print pantsuit. Not until she was standing before the arriving party, her eyes were vivid hues of brown and gold and looked reptilian. It would have seemed completely normal to see her tongue dart out past her lips ~ thankfully she had such instinctive desires under control. “My mistress bids welcome to the Hong Yang Group.” She bowed respectfully in front of Eiji and his companions. There was a slight elongating and rounding of every S sound that left her lips. Beyond that she was the image of a willing and capable servant. “She is awaiting you in the main hall. Please allow me to escort you to her.” Teri was everything someone could have wanted in a personal assistant. The moment the assembled party looked ready to move, she would have turned and escorted them into the Mirror Temple in a comfortable measured pace. This was a fairly new appointment for her, though she had not been recruited through the Xin Hop. Reclining in the cushioned seating at the far end of the main hall which stood open and overlooking the night sky, the Empress was nursing a glass of champagne she had no intention of drinking. She had acquired Teri in the same way she resourced all of her meta humans, through threats. Finding someone’s weakness and forcing their loyalty was not a new tactic to Xifeng. The same could have been said for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum by her side, with the exception they really were stupid. Which was something of a blessing. They had no reservations about throwing themselves into situations that would have given any sane rational person pause. As much as she wanted her shadow to be there, his recent string of defiance and associations made Wraith difficult to trust. Trust... while we were on the subject, the Empress did not trust anyone. Not her loyal thralls, or the leader of the Hong Yang Group being escorted towards her. Her face was the picture of calm, but beneath that she seethed with anger. How dare they make her wait! It was the fireworks which erupted in the air over the amusement park that finally made her smile. The secret knowledge that by the time they finished exploding in the night sky her victory over the Tai Yeung would be almost complete. ‘Kill every last council member and bring Jin to me alive.’ He may try and defy her, but she knew Wraith was unable to resist her commands. If he happened to die in the act ~ she had grossly overestimated his abilities. She could find another to take his place. It was that knowledge and self assurance she wrapped herself in, like an imposed blanket of self importance. All of Niwa would soon know her name, they would know who was responsible. As Teri stepped up to her, the viper naturally fell into place beside Xifeng, somewhere off to the side, even she knew not to get too close to the temperamental villain. Teri smiled as pleasantly as she could towards Eiji. “Allow me to introduce you to my mistress. Qiao Xifeng.” The Empress herself said nothing, her blood red sightless eyes looking towards Eiji with seeming indifference. She did not get up... it was clear she was waiting for an apology, if he understood his place in all this, it would be so much easier for them to get down to business. If any others had followed him into the temple, she gave them no attention at all. Like her own subordinates, they only warranted her consideration when they were fucking up. 1st January 2014 0001 hours ~ Happy New Year |

As the woman approached them, Tatsuo looked at her with interest, quite careful not to let it show. He was dismayed to see so many armed men in plain view, as if this was some sort of... Mexican drug lord's fortress or something. No matter if the streets were deserted... Nevermind He could not expect them, or any of these gangster groups to have received any real tactical training. At the end of the day, most gangsters were just thugs. Eji on the other hand did not care to even look at the girl... or the men. He didn't need to. "Thank you. Please do lead the way." Tatsuo's tone was polite, yet cold. As soon as she started walking he followed her, with his leader casually tagging along behind him. The rest of the group moved instantly as well, walking in unison like a troop of soldiers, yet lacking that robot-like stiffness common in army troops . Their expressions rather blank. Although they seemed as if they couldn't or didn't care to see past their noses, they had all been trained to have already assessed the situation and memorized the area and positions of each armed guard they could see, within the first ten seconds of stepping out of the car. The rest of the puzzle wold be added in their minds as they walked further in. When they finally arrived, they all stood behind Eiji and Tatsuo, still and silent like statues. Tatsuo could barely contain himself from rolling his eyes. These people were really something. This brat liked her subordinates to call her 'Empress' as far as he knew, or at least had no objection to them doing so. She was just a little spiteful bitch with a personal agenda. A score to settle. Her war was not about business... it was about pride. And pride was the downfall of all kings and emperors. He did not smile as he spoke. "And this is--" "Qiao Xifeng, Nin Hao." Eiji's voice was deep and strong as he greeted their hostess in perfect Mandarin Chinese. He did not smile, he did not bow, and he kept walking towards the Empress as everyone else stood on their spots, even Tatsuo. If her men took any defensive stand out of caution, or tried to stand in his way, or pointed their guns as the tall, green-eyed man approached her, they would see all the Wo Shing members do... absolutely nothing to protect their leader. Eiji stood mere inches from her and kissed her hand, closing his eyes for a second as he did. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you." It was as if the man was entirely unaware of their lateness. |

NEMETIS As his eyes remained on Fiora he reminded himself that she was alright, that if she was willing to fight he would not intrude. It was a matter of weeks since the incident in Dusk, but he had kept an eye on Fiora to make sure she was keeping out of trouble, proverbially at least. The Doctor had considerable skill as he knew her fate would have been decided for her if they went to the hospital. He saw reason to tell Aurael everything that he had witnessed, that she was getting better, and her wounds did not hinder her movement. It was literally magic to his eyes. His eyes finally left hers as he heard the dying of a small car down the path. Nemetis watched with concern as a part of him wanted to get in between the flaming red head and Scarlett, due to his protective nature his right plated arm lifted slightly as darkness swirled along its length. Contouring for a moment along the planes of his armour it sprawled into the haft of his halberd, before solidifying the head of the weapon shifted from multiple designs and creations until he decided on one. The shadows bent to his will as the creation become reality in his hand, the soft trail of shadow was all that remained of its incorporeal heritage as the weapon resembled a matte finish on titanium. He made no motion to hide what he had just created as he levelled the massive two handed weapon easily with one arm toward Brit. His already dominating pose would have intimidated at least the likes of this one. “There is more than life hangs in the balance, it is honour, kinship, family some of you fight for... I do not care what you fight for, only that you stay in line and do whatever it is that you do. Period.” His cold tone did not falter as his eyes glared at the potential nuisance for the evening. He was all for having fun, but not at the expense of loosing this fight. His eyes darted across to Scarlett, this was her gamble. She had arranged for everyone to meet here and Brit was here by request, as strange as that may sound to his ears. BRIT “If that would make you feel better Red, I’d be happy to illustrate to that bitch with a fancy display of light and illusion, but I think that may be wasted on her.” His sarcastic tone was given as he tilted his head accompanied by a wide grin that bordered on devious. He meant no harm, really... Really? He snapped his Katana in its scabbard as she commented on his amazement. “Finally..! It’s about time someone noticed me for my capabilities.” OK ok... that ‘may’ have been sarcasm. But not to worry, he was more than willing to start with the bloodshed. ‘Does anyone have questions?... I just asked about fifty a moment ago... Red... where’s my code name?’ As the meat shield levelled his oversized spork to Brit he did feel a little insignificant with the size of his Katana... “Maybe If I had a smaller dick then I wouldn’t have to compensate so much...” the comment came out humorous as he smiled to the plated being. ‘Fuck yeah..! Step one, piss off something bigger than you. Step two, die in pain.’ Yep he had the whole evening planned. He was more than happy to guess what the meat shield was thinking as he turned to “Now I’m ready...” Ready was code for seething, right? |

Ben Tai “Hoho, Fiora Novak, is it? You ignite a flame of that I am certain” He chuckled at Fiora’s greeting, those plumbs legs were used to swat him away, and he was allowed a slight glimpse of where her forbidden suit was… How delectable would it be? A sweet juice fruit ready to be plucked? Would a simple twirl of the tongue suffice to break down the dam, or would it need a more delicate and complex approach? He wondered the same thing of the Scarlett; she probably had a spicier taste. He already had his spirits reach an all-time high, even trying to contain his thoughts to his beloved simply turned a vision of lovemaking into a full blown orgy with his unbelievable soon to be wife at the center of it. The mask concealed the slight drool that ran down his mouth He was distracted as the other members of the operations came forth A large man, A black armoured man, and a loudmouth man. He felt cheated, was this simply an operation of pretty boys led by a single gorgeous entity? He ought to know, Ben preferred working with the opposite gender also. “Ora, ora. Such fine speci-men Scarlett. Are you attempting to take my lecherous crown? » Ben said with a laugh, as he raised himself slightly in the air, his feet no longer touching the ground , nor his large black cloak. The big cloak gave him an impressive size, even if he was the shortest one here. From with his cloak he took out a metal rod that morphed and twisted into a scythe as he looked upon his new co-workers, the weapon twirling in his hands, as it rested on his shoulders. “So many fresh faces…. Ahhh, if not for my beloved, I’d be more active on the streets. I’m the Shinigami of the Tai Yeung, and once this operation is over successfully, then consider all of you invited to my celebratory wedding.” He said with an amused tone. He was too wrapped up in his lust to even fear. He wanted this over with so he could embrace HER. So he could hear her screams of delight, and feel her SILKY skin pressed beneath his fingers. “Simple tell me whom to kill, Scarlett. This is your operation, and will not overstep my bounds” He turned his back to them, and looked forward, the scythe twirling around his fingers. He was so eager to begin. So eager to end it all…. Sairyou N. Buki He remained silent to the antics of the cloaked ones, and said no word as the other came out of the woodwork. He gauged their abilities with interest, but he had no reason to seek them out when a wielder was already decided and a purpose was given. He was faceless and eyeless, and dressed sharply, but his attention belonged entirely to Fiora’s. He lightly caressed her skin, and moved strands of hair away from her face. She preferred him in human form, for some reason he couldn’t possibly understand. She viewed him as her equal which was far off. He was a weapon, simply put. A weapon that could coddle to his wielders desire and add an emotional link that strengthened their bond above any ordinary weapon; this… ritual he was performing, of sticking his body close to hers, of feeling her skin under his porcelain like fingers was simply because she sought it. It reinforced her ideals. Perhaps, this was the perfect form of relationship, she imagined. “Fiora…. When they begin, I want you to take me…” He said directly to her mind. “Take and use me… swing me more, we’ll reach our perfect form, I just know it” He added, brushing his featureless face against her own He meant to train some more, and practice her form, but she seemed to react more positively when asked in this manner with the brushing, and the added touching. |

The air of tension which the so-called Empress attempted to cultivate, tried to use as a lever to force her guests into obeisance and apologies, might have some small effect on the lesser members of the "Hong Yang Group" party, but it did not worry the two men who had spoken so far, and it did not worry the monk. The man with grey hair stood impassive, and his obscene calm despite the silent threat of violent displeasure was palpable. Not only could no drawn weapons, no display of supernatural prowess ready to be applied, no amount of displeasure from a five-dollar street queen shake this placid exterior, but there was a very real sense that absolutely nothing could lever that sort of reaction from the ageless warrior. And warrior he clearly was- his posture and silhouette allowed that he could be nothing but. Beside Tatsuo, he lent the fierce warrior a measure of calm and relaxation by his mere presence, allowing the man's demons to subside. Similarly, any of the Hong Yang group who remained within twenty feet of the monk felt themselves to be utterly, inexplicably normal. No explanation for this had yet been given, but the odd feeling had the tendency to leave the supernaturally inclined in distinct discomfort near him. No supernatural senses functioned; no connection to the mystical or superhuman remained. Were there room, those relying on their powers could form a secondary line of Hong Yang some twenty feet away from the leaders, but otherwise they relinquished their connection with the mystical. Neither of the leaders of the group, it ought be noted, seemed the least bit put off by this, leaving further mystery to the uninitiated. Edited by Discord, Jan 4 2014, 04:16 PM.

There were so many new faces that Arthur was not familiar with but listened as Scarlett as she talked to them. This was going to be the group to go in and the ones that Arthur would make sure got out of the place alive. These people were the ones to go into the belly of the beast but no order was given yet so he assumed they were waiting for more people to show up. Arthur actually stood there closing his eyes continuing to clear his thoughts waiting for the order to move in and what would put a start to this mission. Arthur was getting anxious this is what he waited for just loving the mention of a fight of this proportion and he would be there. He didn't care who he went up against or how many Arthur wasn't ready to die and he would kill anybody who got in his way to try to stop him. This was going to be fun. There seemed to be some who didn't believe to much in some of the others abilities to fight with one another or at least that's what he gathered from the things said to one another. This was definitely a mismatched crew bit they were all here to fight for the family and end a war for good without spilling any more blood and to stop the families problems. He would remain silent until he needed to speak which wouldn't need to be much with everybody down each others throats. Arthur was here for one reason and that was his promise to follow Scarlett to hell and back to help his new family. That was what he was going to do here tonight and if It meant working with a bunch of strangers than that is what he would do. He also had a secondary objective that he made for himself and that was making sure win or lose that everyone in this group was making it out of this alive. |

[OOC; I do apologize for being late on my post > < Let the event continue!!! *jumps for joy*] Scarlett & Fiora "Dumm Narr." Fiora spoke in German, commenting on McAlister's lack of rapport in a situation like this. Though the immortal was in no position to judge, she barely knew him or what he was capable of. Scarlett must've had a reason for bringing him along, she always had a reason for everything. It's one of the reasons that Fiora had no problem following the pyromancer into battle, or any situation of the sort. There was a smile growing across her face though, Nemetis seemed to care about Scarlett. The brother of her lover, it was a sweet sight but yet saddening one as well. The situation they found themselves in, it was one that was meant to be made into a movie. A book, in the least. Feeling the invasion of her mind once again by Sairyou, she shifted her eyes off to meet his gaze and stared at him. The soft caress of his cheek against her own made her chuckle. "We will, Sairyou." It was unfortunate, and as much as Fiora loved Scarlett, she could not interfere with this. Fiora could not get involved with every battle that waged in front of her. "We will see them into the building, but after that our job is done." Her words would mean that there would be blood spilt, but not much. Hopefully that would satisfy his (and her) blood lust for the moment. Scarlett idly rolled her eyes and looked at Nemetis. His gaze reminding her that he was a mere rain drop in an ocean. They had her back, even if McAlister had a weird way of showing it, she knew they were there for the same reason. It wasn't a simple task to ask people to put their lives on the line for their gang--their family. Most knew her true purpose, but they knew the actual goal. "We kill Qiao Xifeng, and destroy the Xin Hop here and now." She took a step towards the Mirror Temple, confidence flooded her being. They were ready. Kyoki Kyoki said nothing but followed the orders which were given. Which weren't much except for 'follow, stay and speak'. As they were lead into and through the Mirror Temple, Kyoki looked through every hall and corridor. Keeping in mind where every twist and turn was. Her memory was excellent and for that she was able to remember each door and areas of the temple as they walked to meet the Empress. One never knows when they will need to get out of somewhere quickly, especially when making a transaction such as this. When they entered the main hall, and the Empress was seen, Kyoki stopped at the door. There was no need to stand by Eiji or Tatsuo's side as they spoke to her. Kyoki would be like a guard dog, and stand at the door waiting till they needed to leave. Scarlett & Fiora It was time they moved out, they were missing a few but there was no time. They couldn't wait any longer. So with a gesture to the group; Arthur, Nemetis, McAlister, Ben and Fiora, they would move towards the Temple. A fight between one person was different then a battle, Scarlett had never been in something like this prior to this moment. It was both intimidating and exciting all at the same time. Confusing emotions. Fiora closed her eyes, holding onto Sairyou she imagined the sickle blade she had asked him to transform into the first time they met. He was going to get what he wanted, here and now. They'd get to the Temple in no time, raising no alarms as Fiora lead with Scarlett. A master at stealth was good company to have at the moment. There of course were guards, but how many was the true question. Two stood outside the closed gates that lead into the front garden area. They seemed relaxed, which would be good for them. They could easily sneak by them without causing a fuss, however on their exit they may have a problem. Killing them was the best solution. Silent but deadly was what they needed. Beyond the gates was still unknown, and any alarm could set off the Empress and she could run. "Fiora, Nemetis. Can you take them?" Scaling their abilities was what Scarlett had done when she met with each of them. Brit would cause them to scream in fear, easily setting off anyone in the immediate area. Ben's wind wouldn't be able to kill them fast enough before they could let out a yelp for help. Arthur wasn't capable of hiding in the shadows till the last moment. Scarlett was just as bad, her fire would set a spark of light that would definitely cause attention. "I'll take the one on the right." She said with a cat like grin, she slipped into the two men's blind spots. Her hand gripping at Sairyou and approaching them without any cause for alarm. Nemetis would need to take down the other man at the same time, or else cause suspicion as to why one of them lost their head so suddenly. The group would see Fiora nonchalantly walk up behind one of the men and get into position. It was about to begin. |

Akaiken was in complete control, it was rare when she felt this way, it often seemed that much of her mind was on the precipice of slipping. And lately with those damn headaches... But for once they weren't bothering her at all. She was more than acutely aware of her own temperature fluctuations and the sudden inability to change that, but it seemed a small price to pay for an otherwise powerful control. The red-head didn't understand why she didn't have headaches right now, nor why her sight felt so unclouded, but it felt like before... at the meeting. It wouldn't take much for this one to figure out that Zen was the cause of it, but now wasn't the time to be distracted by such thoughts. The red-head followed in perfect line as the group was permitted to approach, watching with silent amusement as Eiji waltzed right up to 'the Empress' and kissed her hand. Though even as her men may react, Akaiken followed her orders and did nothing, not so much as a blink out of measured time. It's not like he was in any danger, not really. But even if he was this situation wasn't foreign to her and she would continue to obey orders even if he died. She always was a well-trained bitch in that way. |

NEMETIS For a moment Nemetis continued glaring from under his visor, until the half smile ran along his features. So Brit had a sense of humour, couldn’t fault a guy for that. But there was no way in hell Nemetis would let Brit think everything was perfectly fine between each other. “Of course.” His tone measured the situation as he believed Fiora was capable of executing the guard just as quickly as himself. They were suited to the task as Nemetis was more than ready to free his brother from this master, in effect he would only shift across to another person, but anything was better than Xifeng. A nod was all that was given to Fiora before the plated warrior stepped into the shadows, his form slowly broke down to whisps of shadow that would have silently followed Fiora. He began to form behind the other guard as Fiora readied herself, the creature of myth and legend solidified into the plated guardian that now stood behind the other guard. His Shadow Halberd had changed during the transition from shadow to reality as the long blade pierced through the air with unnatural grace and lethality. There was no sound, no regret as Nemetis snapped his body into action as the motion brought the weapon to the other side of his body, he knew where to strike. The request was stealth, they could not afford being found out so early on in their assault. Nemetis’ gauntleted fist clutched onto the dead weight of the body as the head fell to the ground a foot away, no guns were fired. His eyes turned to Fiora as he dropped his corpse, being mindful to not make any further sound. Their first stage was well underway as Fiora’s target inevitably fell to her weapon. BRIT “You know Red...” His tone dipped into serious tones as he watched Fiora sway her hips in a casual demeanour away from the group... Turning his eyes back to the woman in question he looked to her with uncertainty. “Don’t get me wrong... Kill the fuckers, by all means... But there are multiple ways of going about this... Like, a surprised Pizza boy on his delivery.” His tone hinted on an introduction as a slight shimmer gave way to Brit shifting into a sixteen year old with acne and a pizza uniform... Any hint of Brit was gone without a trace... The Pizza boy looked at Scarlett and tapped his foot, he was about five foot three with coke bottle glasses. “Where’s my money?” He boy asked in suitable teenage fashion before he hinted at a wide grin. If she looked down Scarlett would have seen herself resembling a playboy bunny, complete with bunny ears and fluffy tail and blonde hair and vacant expression... So it was one of the calendar models from last year... I swear he only reads it for the articles... He gave into a wide smile as the kid shifted into Captain America’s Chris Evans with a seriously unimpressed look on his face as he crossed his arms on his board chest. “Are you beginning to understand me Red? You asked me to help, and this is me helping... “ |
