| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. Fiora wouldn't comment on the night she had just had, not to Silas nor to anyone that would ask. Not even to the red head that walked into her room that morning and saw the naked bodies of the two immortals sprawled out across the bed. It was a night that she'd assume wouldn't occur again, but one she'd never forget. There was no love or passion behind what had happened that night, just pure honest sex. It had ran for hours, and those hours seem to pour into the morning, yet they still had time to fall asleep beside one another. Fiora made no move to cuddle or be close to him, not because she didn't love to cuddle but let's be honest, Silas seemed like the kind to hit-it and quit-it. Which she fully expected to wake up that morning and find him gone. The red head that had walked into their room had stood there for a moment and glanced at the naked bottoms that faced up in the air. Fiora's arm had stretched over Silas's back and her face was firmly planted into the pillow. Silas's arm did the same thing, it was the accidental cuddle as Scarlett would like to call it. The room was a mess, the sheets and pillows--all but the two they had fell asleep on--were thrown all over the place. It looked like a war zone, but without the blood and guts. Scarlett decided not to disturb them, and very quietly stepped back out of the room. The sounds of the door swaying back to a close caused Fiora's vivid pink eyes to open slowly and find vision in the bright room. The muffling sounds that escaped her lips as she lifted her head off the pillow and looked around weren't very loud, but to Silas they would sound like a fog horn. She felt good, which was nice, but she wouldn't lie that her body hadn't felt that sore in quite some time. Like she had ran a few hundred miles without rest. Maybe it's why when she attempted to pull away from Silas she was unable to for the first few tries. It was only after she put her hand to his face and pushed him away did she get free, and was able to slid off the edge of the bed and get to her feet. "Mmm..." She grumbled, standing there with the same amount of clothes on she fell asleep with--which was none. Her arms stretched over her into the air, and she raised up on her tippy toes. Fiora took a deep breath and let it out in a heavy yawn. "Scarlett?" That was the only person that should've been in her home other then Silas. Not that he was 'supposed' to be in her home, it just so happened that... well he was. Only a moment past before the red head slipped back through the door. Her long crimson hair fell down her shoulders and her sapphire eyes met the immortals gaze. She was dressed very business-like, with a pencil skirt and a matching blazer. There would be no mistake that she wasn't any sort of maid. Someone that looked like that, there was no way she cleaned homes. "I came to see if you were alright, which..." Scarlett's gaze shifted to the naked man laying in the immortals bed, "I see you're just fine." Fiora shrugged her shoulders, "This is Silas." The immortal introduced him as she slipped away into the master bathroom. Disappearing and leaving the two of them alone in the room. Scarlett turned her attention to Silas, keeping her eyes where they belonged. She had been there for Fiora through all of this, and there was something that didn't sit well with her. Where had this guy come from? Fiora was... well, she wasn't a lover of men. Granted that didn't mean she wasn't one to have sexual relations with one, but she leaned towards the women in that regard. Something about the man that lay in her friends bed seemed, off. Though, Scarlett thought that about everyone. She wasn't a people person. So the awkward, untrusting, look she gave the man wasn't really out of character. "You should cover yourself." She commented before rolling her eyes from his direction. Silas was a very careful and ambitious man. He had dreams...no goals that he were set on accomplishing and he had a method of doing it. In his sleep he was haunted by all the interactions he had that were this intense with previous lovers. Many women had died and simply had their life force taken away from them to make Silas more powerful. However since Fiora was different, stronger, she was not only able to survive but enjoy it all as well. She'd be sore, perhaps feel a little weak but that would all recover just because in some sense like Silas she was immortal. As soon as the light revealed itself through the window Silas' eyes opened. This would be around the time he would quietly get up and put back on his clothes before finding his way out before the other person even woke up, effectively erasing any evidence that he were there at all. However when the red haired woman walked into the room she would see him them seemingly asleep. Silas had his eyes closed, pretending to be asleep as he heard that someone was approaching the room. He pretended to sleep to see what this person would do. After all he couldn't die so she wasn't a threat to him. However soon Fiora awoke and addressed the person...calling them Scarlett. The two seemed to know each other, however Silas remained there seemingly still sleeping. He heard the interaction between the two and as she left the two in the room and introduced him. At this time he woke up, making direct eye contact with Scarlett. As she said that Fiora should cover herself the man stood up, still naked, showing Scarlett all of his greatness. He stretched out and then walked past Scarlett towards his pants and he put them on and then looked at her. "Pleased to meet you Scarlett...Why have you come to visit my girlfriend?", Silas asked seemingly genuinely. While the concept of dating came totally out of the blue, Silas said it as if he actually meant it. He narrowed his eyes for a moment before walking back towards Fiora and wrapping an arm around her waist, holding her close to him. |

Scarlett didn't flinch as he stood up and exposed himself to her. There was only one man she cared to look at in that way, and it sure as hell wasn't this one. Her eyes found his gaze as he stepped towards her, he seemed to be a cocky one. Something that Scarlett could understand fully, being cocky was something that got her were she was today. He seemed like the one night stand kind of guy, so it was surprising that someone like him would have even stayed until Fiora woke up. Then again, now-a-days most people would demand breakfast from the woman, which in a way he was lucky. The immortal woman was a decent cook, not Scarlett. She was thankful that Wraith didn't need sustenance to survive. That and she was grateful she had an endless supply of income... take out was her life. When he moved past her towards his pants, she stepped to the side and rested her hands on her hips. His words came as a surprise to Scarlett, and it was obvious that they had been heard by Fiora... "WHAT!?" They'd hear Fiora yelped from the bathroom, then a slip of what sounded like a rug and then a thud. The door swung closed and the soft aching moans of her in a bit of pain came echoing from under the door. Only a few seconds would pass until the door swung back open and Fiora emerged. Wrapping a silk robe around her she raised an eyebrow and starred at Silas. There was both confusion and ... more confusion written on her face. Scarlett shifted her gaze between the two of them. This was getting awkward. "I, uh, you never told me you had a boyfriend." The red head wasn't stupid, she didn't believe Silas for a second. Even if he seemed completely truthful with his statement. "Honestly I thought you swung the other way." Now that was true, Fiora did swing the other way. She hadn't fell in love with a man in centuries, and none had made her feel quite like a girl had. Then again, she had never met someone like Silas before... maybe that was a good thing though. Fiora swallowed hard, what the hell was going on? "And I was here to make sure Fiora was alright.." Scarlett wasn't going to reference that she was his girlfriend, by the response and the look on Fiora's face she was just as shocked by the comment as she was. The immortal titled her head slightly to the side and squinted at Silas. There was something going on here, and she didn't know what it was. Was he playing some form of trick on her? Was she still dreaming? Had she gazed too long into his eyes last night and was hallucinating? "Did I commit to something last night that I don't remember to?" Fiora took a step towards the two of them, her gaze never leaving Silas's. |

As expected, he got the reactions he thought he would from both Scarlett and Fiora. He narrowed his eyes at Scarlett as it seemed she didn't true or like him that much. It was an impression that he could probably shake off in time, but it was noted nonetheless. For now she was irrelevant...or was she. He chuckled softly as he heard the slip within the other room. As Fiora emerged from the room she seemed to be in disbelief as well. After all wasn't the whole point of the night before no strings attached? Silas smiled as he brushed Fiora's hair behind her head with his hand and cupped her cheek. He was already inside her head and his influence on her would still be strong whether she wanted it or not. Her emotions were still for the most part contained and until they would released he could still be considered within her mind. He rubbed her cheek for a few moments, not saying anything just gazing into her eyes, seemingly piercing her soul. A look only someone like Silas could pull off actually. Was it hypnotic? Not necessarily, however it was powerful. "I think we both committed to something last night...I know what I said but it serves no purpose in me denying that I care about you in some sense. After all there was no reason for me to stay here unless I did. I'd like to think of my principles as a little more old school, and if I committed to you physically, I should be able to emotionally...As long as your okay with it", the immortal said. He then looked back at Scarlett. "You're her friend then...Good, it's been rough for her and although I might have been able to make some breakthroughs, there are certain things a friend can only help a friend through. I hope you can succeed where ever I failed", he said seemingly genuinely. He then walked towards the door that led outside the room before turning to the two. "It might seem strange, but I do mean everything I say. Please come downstairs, I'll prepare some breakfast", he said with a weak smile as he walked down the stairs. As he walked down the steps, each stair brought a thought into Silas' mind. However what he was thinking wasn't going to be revealed at this time. He brought his way into the kitchen and looked around for a moment to see what ingredients they had. He was able to whip up a batch of pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage and a whole array for foods and drinks for himself and the two women. The meal was done within the hour and he even set the table up himself. If anyone were to actually eat they'd find the food to be exquisite. After all Silas had been around for a long time, it would have been a miserable existence indeed if he wasn't able to cook a 5 star meal whenever he wanted. |

The red head blinked, and took a step back as Silas began to walk over towards Fiora. Scarlett wasn't one to butt into things that didn't concern her. This was definitely one of those situations. Fiora couldn't feel anything emotion wise, it had been more or less stripped away from her, so when he approached she didn't step back or try and run. Though as it had done last night, her heart began to pound against her chest. His hand brushing against her cheek and moving the locks of her hair back behind her ear had goosebumps crawling up her arms. Was he trying to torment her? No, it didn't seem like he was. Yet she couldn't believe that spending one night with someone could change them this much. Silas had seemed as if he was going to screw the brains out of the immortal, use her for a place to stay and be done with her. However, the way he touched her and looked at her. Why couldn't she look away? Why couldn't she PULL away? Silas hadn't really 'asked' her out, it was more of a demand. Even when he made the comment of her being alright with it, he didn't even give her a chance to deny him. The question was, was she going to? Fiora couldn't move, she was still in a bit of shock. The man that had lay in her bed all night was different from the one that walked in front of her. Maybe she had read him wrong. Was it possible that he wasn't just there to hit it and quit it? It was still something she couldn't believe. Scarlett squinted her eyes at Silas, "I don't think rough covers what happened." She said with a stale tone. Silas confused her to no end, but she couldn't deny that he had a grace to him. Fiora gave Scarlett no indication that he was a bad person or a threat to either of them, so there was no need for her to stay on guard. The immortal took a step towards the bed and took a seat. Scarlett shifted her gaze towards her before moving to her side. She didn't comment on anything else Silas said, but took to the immortals side. "I think I'm going to be sick." Fiora said dropping her head and resting her hands in her lap. "Why?" Scarlett asked, putting her warm hand onto her shoulder, trying to be as comforting as she could. This wasn't her strongest point. She wasn't one to have girlfriends, and so when it came to Fiora it was difficult to give any kind of advice or sympathize with her. Even if she tried, which was the principle of it. Fiora shook her head, "I don't know why. I can't feel anything except for this pit in my stomach." She bit softly at the corner of her mouth before continuing. "He screwed me last night with no emotions attached. Then I wake up beside him and he says he's my boyfriend? What the hell is that? Who does that?!" Scarlett's lips curled up slightly, "Are you upset or happy, because I can't tell." The immortal leaned back... She couldn't answer that. Fiora herself didn't know if she was ready to give herself to someone like him. Loyalty was something she prided herself in, and for him to be an incubus it was more fearful then anything else. Then again, what did she have to lose? Fiora sat there in silence with Scarlett until the smell of breakfast came flying up the stairs. He had actually stayed, and cooked for her; well them. But for Fiora specifically. She quickly put on some shorts and a t-shirt and with Scarlett behind her headed down the stairs towards the kitchen. It smelled amazing, and it looked even better. Maybe it was her time to let someone lese take charge, and stop trying to be at the forefront of everything. Fiora's fingers lined the bar and she looked at Silas. "Thank you." She said softly. Scarlett had already taken a seat at the table by her plate, she had to eat and get to work so there wasn't much time to waste for her. Fiora on the other hand, she stood there look at Silas. Just gazing into his eyes. He'd probably have to put her in front of her food. She still seemed a bit lost. |

Silas didn't linger upstairs and as they spoke didn't even bother eavesdropping. He merely continued with the breakfast and he then watched as the two walked down the stairs. Scarlett seemed to find her way towards her own plate, however Silas walked towards Fiora who seemed confused, almost lost. As she thanked him he did nothing but smile at her before taking her hand and guiding her to her seat. He even pulled her chair out for her and everything and brought the plate to her. He then poured some juice for the gang and then brought himself to a seat nearest to Fiora. It was bizarre yet kind gesture, and Silas watched to see how it would be taken. He merely sat with no food for a bit before a ding went off. The immortal man got back up and brought each person a cup of coffee before getting his own as well as a small plate. He returned to his seat and then just looked at the two. He sipped on the drink as he ran the scenario in his head. Fiora would probably remained confused however Scarlett was definitely watching him, judging him. Did he have to stay on her good side to remain within Fiora's? He remained to sit silently sipping on his drink hoping someone else could break the silence. |

Fiora bit softly at her bottom lip and narrowed her eyes at Silas. It wasn't a bad thing what he was doing, on the contrary, Fiora was thoroughly enjoying it, but she just couldn't get the feeling that he was playing with her emotions, out of her head. Technically he had already played with them and destroyed them, but that was besides the point. Should she trust him? Wasn't that the key problem in her life, trust? A thief is never to be trusted, and they aren't to trust the likes of people around them. Yet, she didn't understand why she couldn't bring herself to not trust Silas. Inside she wanted to take his smile and gentle nature as a sign of him being genuine. Taking a seat, Fiora's eyes shifted to the red head who had already dove into her food. Scarlett did have work in a little bit, after all. Speaking of her, even though se was eating there quietly, her eyes spoke a million words. They gazed at Silas, with both curiosity and paranoia. She didn't know him, but there was something not human about him. It was something she couldn't quite place, but knew that she'd have to find out. Fiora would tell her, not now -- but later. For now, Scarlett would just keep an eye on him. Fiora had become her first girl-friend since, well, forever. The last thing she desired was to watch her be in pain, whether it be physically or emotionally. And that was coming from someone as cold and heartless as Scarlett~ Fiora really meant a lot to her. "This is delicious." Scarlett said after swallowing her most recent bite of food. "Thanks." It was her turn to be appreciative of a good meal. If anything else, Silas was a great cook. Whether or not he was a player of women's hearts or a true gentlemen, at least he knew his way around the kitchen. Fiora had began eating after a few moments of silence. Scarlett wasn't lying, it was pretty damn delicious. There was one thing that Fiora wanted in a mate, and that was he/she could cook. Looks like he at least passed that test... The sounds of Scarlett putting her utensils down sounded that breakfast had been completely devoured. She wiped her mouth and took a stand. "Do you need me to come over tonight?" Scarlett asked looking at Fiora, but shifting her gaze ever so slightly to Silas. The odds of him staying there were very high, but she didn't know. Fiora rarely used her cell phone, if at all honestly, and so it was meaningless to call her that night or any night for that matter. "I'll be alright." Fiora said putting her fork down, and resting her hands in her lap. "I'll come by your place tomorrow." She hadn't been out of her house since the incident, but it didn't seem like a bad idea to go and see Scarlett for once. The red head nodded her head and turned from the two of them. Giving Silas a half-assed wave, she grabbed her coat and purse and left Fiora's home. The sounds of her heels disappearing into the distance would all but make the room even quieter then what it already was. The immortal stood up and picked up some of the dishes that were on the table. Yet, she stopped moving for some reason. As close as they were, Silas would hear her heart beating quicken. He'd see the rise and fall of her chest, and the question in her eyes. "You are an incubus, aren't you?" He hadn't told her exactly what he was, but by how she felt this morning and how he acted it was pretty obvious. It wasn't the first time she had slept with one, and honestly she thought it would be her last. "If so... what makes me any different from any of the other girls you've laid in bed with? Is this a -- a ploy or a means to see if my emotions are still in check?" Fiora's head shot in his direction, her hand gripping the glass cup she had grabbed, "Because I won't be played around wi--" The sounds of the glass cracking and shattering in her hand caught her off guard and she stumbled back. The crimson red liquid that fell from her hand had her hissing between her teeth. "Why..." She whispered under her breath as she stood there holding her hand in her opposite one. |

In his head, Silas only thought of what the others could be thinking. Fiora should assess things without emotion, so some confusion might have passed but he doubted she would have any fear or worry...just maybe confusion or doubt. As for Scarlett, she seemed like the typical alpha woman, and being close to Fiora meant that she would probably look out for the best interest for her friend, and probably not trust him until she assessed him for herself. She would probably try to figure as much about him as she possibly could without asking or even contacting him...which meant Fiora was a liability. He hadn't told her anything about himself, however he had to make sure that any conclusions she came to on her own weren't going to be a nuisance to him later down the road. As Scarlett watched Silas, she would notice he was merely staring at Fiora. However not in a creepy sense, but as if he were lost in her image. Silas knew eyes were on him and he knew he would have to at least play the part well in front of Scarlett. However he also wanted her to know that he was no fool and that he knew he was being watched. For a brief moment his eyes turned to Scarlett. He narrowed them at her briefly, his eyes showing nothing but a cold disposition before turning back towards Fiora and that look fading completely. He smiled as it seemed both women were pleased with their meal. Silas' mother always told him the key to a woman is keeping her happy and over the years despite the obvious way he loved to make them "happy" he picked up a few other tricks that definitely made him "a catch". And then it happened again. Scarlett asked if Fiora would "need" her tonight before she looked at him. Silas took slight offense to this, because the way he saw it she openly just made some type of move against him. His gaze was now fixed at her, empty, stoic, cold, deadly. Silas was a man who's gaze could invoke emotions depending on his feelings. Fiora was an example of this before when he seduced her to even when he silenced her with his gaze alone. However this time it was a look that could scar most people indefinitely. As Fiora responded Silas turned towards her, the look disappearing again as he thought he would definitely need to "talk" to Fiora before she left to talk with Scarlett. As Scarlett left Silas watched her until she made her way out and listened closely making sure that she was indeed gone and not lingering around the area. His attention turned towards Fiora while his focus was on Scarlett's footsteps up until he heard her question. His eyes widened at the question...she figured him out? He didn't answer however until he was sure Scarlett was gone. He arose and then his gaze fixed itself right into Fiora's eyes. He slowly began to walk towards her as he spoke. "You're right and you're wrong. I'm half incubus...half human" He could tell that as she spoke she was slowly getting some type of emotion which slightly shocked him. Something deep down inside her was hurt and passionate and was making sure it wasn't hurt again. He leaned forward and kissed her right as she stopped speaking as the glass broke within her hands. His hand cupped hers and closed it so she wouldn't have to see the injury and he was convinced that once he let go she should have recovered. "What makes you different...Well I guess it's the fact that it isn't every day that you meet someone that reminds you of yourself" |

A half breed? Did his human side like to come out and torment with the hearts of women? No, Fiora needed to stop thinking the worst of people like she had all those years ago. It had taken the love of a little girl to change her hateful ways, would she need to find another unfortunately child to switch her back? Or would Silas have her emotions wrapped around his fingers for eternity? Fiora was no idiot, on the contrary she was probably smarter then Silas was. There was some reason behind him doing this, some undercover purpose for treating her like he was. He wouldn't be the first male to try and enter her life and steal from her. Whether or not it was physical items or her heart, she was cautious when it came to letting anyone in. When she felt him lift her chin and press his lips against hers she lost all sense of what was going on around her. His hand grabbing hold of the one she had just cut felt warm, and the pain quickly subsided. Thankfully her natural quickened ability to heal closed the cut just a few seconds after Silas grabbed hold of it. When he broke the kiss and pulled away from her, she gazed into his eyes. How was she anything like him? They were both monsters. That was what they had in common. Obviously there was more there, but that's what came to her mind instantly. Fiora pressed her lips together and looked off to the side. The immortal would never find someone that could fully be like her. No one that would understand what kind of person she was and would always be. Was she to be bound to this eternal life without someone to have next to her? Silas was completely capable of protecting her where she couldn't, and she was able to stand beside him and be strong. He wanted something from her. There was always a catch to everything in life. Even love. Whatever the case, Fiora let out a soft sigh and took a step towards him. Her head dropping and resting against his chest. His hand would feel hers open it up and interlock their fingers. "I have to agree with you on that one..." There was no harm in finding comfort in his arms, and she wasn't going to express her concerns anymore. Even though she would never feel a complete sense of trust for the man that seemingly was ready to commit to her, she'd keep it on the back burner until he gave her a real reason to not want him. "You can stay here." She offered him. Her nose brushing against his neck as she looked up at him. "My home is yours." There were no emotions in her tone, but in her eyes there was a lot going on. It'd be difficult for him to see exactly what she was feeling, was it joy? Happiness? Sadness? There were too many to pinpoint what she was going through. |

Silas watched as Fiora's head came to rest on his chest. He could feel the warmth escape her head as he was still not wearing a shirt as well as her soft, soft hair. As their fingers locked in one hand, his other hand brought its way to her back, holding her close. As she said he could stay a smirk appeared on his face before quickly vanishing as her eyes met his. It was hard to read exactly what she was thinking, however Silas had a pretty good idea of what he had to do next. He bent down and literally scooped Fiora off the ground, now holding her in his arms. He slowly began to walk back towards the staircase before showing off his enhanced speed and making it up the stairs and back into the bedroom relatively quickly. He rested her on the bed and for a moment looked down at her. Flashbacks from the night before flooded his mind temporarily before he stood straight and looked outside. "I know you already have a certain perception of me...and now that you know what I am, it probably only amplified those perceptions. However I want to tell you a story...After all I was human once...or at least close to it. I wasn't always what I am now, I was pretty close to normal I guess", he said before turning his attention back towards Fiora. "I won't bore you with the details but I was born a very....very long time ago somewhere in Eastern Europe. From what I believed I was just my parent's son and I lived a pretty normal life. I went to school, learned a craft, excelled to make my parents proud and eventually fell in love. I was married and my first special night with my wife strange things happened. However it was a different time and nothing lead me to believe that it was anything supernatural. I decided I'd live the rest of my life not wanting to hurt my wife again...however back then family was everything. It was the greatest honour to bring a baby into the family so we were pressured to do so. We tried again and this time my wife wasn't as lucky. I became the closest thing to an incubus that night and killed my wife, draining her of her life. I had to disappear so I abandoned my life to discover who and what I was", he said as he took a seat next to Fiora. "Stories of incubus...demons that laid with mortals and drained them of life arose in lore and then I realized that more or less any type of lore was derived from some type of truth, whether it be real of imaginary. I wasn't my parents' child and I began to wonder how they got me. Then I noticed something. My name was Silas Akakios which translated into "Innocence of the Forest". From that I deduced I was probably abandoned by my real parents for being this abomination and found in the woods. However I was never able to prove that theory, however I'm sure it's true. I explored Europe, learning many different tongues as well as cultures and I eventually found myself in Greece and was soon brought into the presence of a beautiful woman. A woman that led me into her chamber, a woman who seduced me and a woman who tried to kill me. She was like me..the crimson hair, the golden eyes, everything. However something happened that night and I was able to kill her and drain her of her powers. It took me awhile to learn what happened then...that I was almost killed by my own actual mother. That I slept with my mother. That I killed my mother. That by absorbing her strength I became something more powerful than the demon she was...I became truly immortal. However ever gift came with a curse...and as I was granted everlasting life, I was also forced to be able to see what lied on the other side...". Silas then stopped. It was a lot to take in, however it was also a lot for him to share. He kept out some major details as in the importance of the moon in his life, however it was still his story. And it wasn't particularly happy. |
