| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Ever since he met Fiora, Silas had slowly become more curious about the many gangs and organizations that were spread and hidden within Niwa. He spent a few days exploring the underground however he didn't come across anything major. However his motions in the underground hadn't went unnoticed. An extremely small gang was insulted by Silas' search as well as his lack of interest in their organization. It was insulting to know that a man was looking for knowledge about the organizations that composed Niwa and yet he ignored such a small cog in the machine that was this city. They decided they would make him pay and they followed Silas to the Executive Lounge within a place called Dusk. It was a pretty festive night as the area was crowed with people. Silas looked up at the sky at the waning crescent in the sky he smiled as he walked in and got himself a table within the executive lounge. Such a location seemed fitting for Silas. The hybrid was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. His crimson hair trimmed perfectly and his golden eyes as piercing as ever. A waitress came up asking if Silas had wanted anything and he nodded asking for their finest bottle of bourbon as well as surprise with the food. He winked at the girl before she walked off to retrieve his order. As soon as she left a group of 3 men approached Silas. One sat down and the other two stood behind him on both sides. Silas raised an eyebrow at this group and asked if he could help them with anything. The man who sat across from him told him to shut up and that he had a gun pointed pointed at his lower stomach. Silas had his eyebrow raised and asked if there was a problem. The men just told him to shut up and get up and go outside however Silas chuckled and then refused. He leaned back as the waitress came back with his bottle and a few glasses. He poured himself a drink as he knew these men werent going to do anything in public. |

Jess was not new to Dusk, she had been working there since the business opened and she, like everyone else, knew trouble when she saw it. It was one of the talents they were employed for, the ability to read a crowd and the individuals in it. People always knew where the bouncers were, but they had a tendency to ignore the bar and wait staff. It was no mystery why Dusk had the reputation as one of the safest nightclubs and lounges in Niwa. After delivering the bottle and the single glass she had not stuck around to get their order. The way the three men had looked at her hastened her steps back to the bar. Usually it was Nemetis who handled these kinds of situations. The manager of the bar had a way of keeping his staff in check and keeping problems under control ~ with or without security needing to be involved. But he was no where to be seen, most likely doing the rounds between the other bars. Which left Sephyr... the beautiful crimson haired owner of Dusk. Every member of the staff knew who she was, but they generally played it down. Vyrae was the general manager of Dusk and the face everyone associated with the elegant waterfront establishment. Thankfully Jess had seen Sephyr disarm more than one situation with her own eyes otherwise she may have gone right to security. “Ms de’Oraelis.” Jess was not exactly shy as she stepped up beside the stool at the end of the bar Sephyr had claimed for the evening. Pages of inventory spread out in front of her. However, her words were hushed in confidence. Sephyr did not jump or start, every action was deliberate as she turned around and caught Jess’ eye. A heartbeat later she followed the other woman’s gaze to the comfortable seating one particular red haired patron drawing her attention. “What is it, Jess?” The question was laced with curiosity, if one of her staff had come to her, they could be damn sure Sephyr had no intention of dismissing them. “Honestly, I am not sure... it was a feeling more than anything I saw.” Jess replied honestly, it was hard to justify a feeling that something was amiss. Thankfully Sephyr did not need her to. “Ask security to make their presence known and I will check it out.” The words were spoken with a reassuring smile. Her eyes glanced around the room, it was not as busy as the nightclub side ~ which was how she could still work there rather than retiring to one of the private lounges or her personal office. Gathering up the papers she placed them on the inside of the bar and made her way towards the couch seating. Standing over six foot tall in heels, the short evening dress hugged her lithe from. Her build was on the slender side, a little more athletic than curvaceous, but she did not lack for presence. The dark eyeliner and mascara around her eyes only accentuation her liquid gold eyes. The most striking feature about her was still the smooth length of her crimson hair which cascaded down over her shoulders and back. Leaning slightly on the back of the chair closest to Silas, she settled them all with a smile. “Which one of you fine gentlemen would like to buy me a drink?” If Jess was right about something not being right, the fire elemental was about to find out. |

Assessing the situation quickly Silas sighed as his slipped his hands underneath the table and undid his suit jacket button. However it wasn't long before the thug sitting across from him tapped the bottom of the table with the gun and kindly "suggested" that the man raise his hands to where he could see them. In his head Silas was amused by how this was all playing out. These poor fools had no idea what they were getting themselves into and by the end of this encounter he was sure that he would kill each and every one of them at some point or another. However Silas was a man interested to watch how events would play out without his influence for a little bit. He was sure these men wouldn't want to cause a scene in such a nice establishment, and it wasn't like the area wasn't secured. If they made a move against him in there, they'd probably be dealt with quickly and efficiently. This was kind of Silas' was to keep himself entertained. After all being an immortal got boring every now and then and things like these were definitely a step up from the average night. Silas made sure his hands were visible as he brought them to his neck. Quickly the thugs across from him said he shouldn't try any funny business and he quickly responded telling them not to be so tense as he slowly loosened his tie before unbuttoning his top few buttons and taking off his tie. His chest was a little exposed at this point, giving his suit a much more laid back look, as well as looking much more calm in the face of the danger that was before him. He soon heard footsteps getting closer to the table and he soon saw its source. A lovely young looking woman with crimson hair and golden eyes. It wasn't every day that Silas saw someone with such close features to him and he was momentarily lost in it before drawing his attention back at the group wondering how they would react. One thug standing behind the man who was seated told the lady to get lost and the other soon complimented his comment telling her to scram. Silas merely smiled as he looked at the glass he had poured for himself and slid it over to the woman. "I apologize for the behavior of these men...please have my drink", he said so politely with a hint of charm in it. Beyond pissed off that Silas had remained so calm in this situation the main thug sitting down stood up revealing the gun aiming it right at Silas. He screamed at the top of his lungs that no one should move or everyone in the area would die. As he said that his two henchmen pulled out semiautomatic weapons from their jacket sleeves and one aimed at the crowd while the other aimed right at Silas and the lady. The main thug then pointed his pistol, aiming for Silas' forehead telling him that they were going to take a walk outside and that he was going to go with them. Silas chuckled and nodded as he got up, taking off his suit jacket revealing the tailored fitted shirt underneath that showed off his slightly muscular body. He then turned to the mysterious woman and smiled at her, "Once again I apologize, a lovely lady like yourself shouldn't have to see the worst that men have to offer". Pissed out even more the head thug lunged forward to pistol whip Silas and without breaking eye contact with this new mysterious woman he grabbed the man's wrist before he made contact, broke the wrist then pulled the man in using his body as a shield and aiming the gun for the man's head while still holding his wrist. At this point whoever was left in the close by area would panic and run off while the remaining two thugs pointed their guns at Silas. Quite the night this had become so far...shame too because the fun had just started. |

Sephyr did not so much as bat and eyelash as the men told her to get lost. Even if the bottle and glass had not been set down in front of Silas she had no problem identifying who was the unwelcome party here this evening. She even managed to lift the glass she had been offered and turned her charming smile towards the red haired man who had been making himself comfortable. It was the golden eyes which captured her attention though... she had only ever seen those particular colourations in a mirror. Of course, that was when everything went south. Every other night of her life involved some lunatic pointing his gun at her, from there it usually dissolved into screams of terror. But she was not about to start tearing up her own lounge. Normally though she was standing next to Gavin who was basically indestructible, just because she was on her own was not about to make her squeamish. Thankfully the blanket threat and show of arms was swept over every patron within the bar and not just focused on the very charming man beside her. The two henchmen did not seem like the brightest sparks in the fire. Threatening a club full of people to get to one man? The calibre of your average rent-a-thug was dropping. Then to add to the wonderful amount of chaos, her mystery man of the evening snapped the ringleader’s wrist and was using him as a meat shield. He almost looked to be experienced at this... “Gentlemen!” Sephyr’s voice cracked across all four men, but it was directed towards the two still wielding guns. She needed to pick a side in this little conflict and that was to side with her charming patron, he was not waving a gun around threatening everyone in her establishment. “Think before you do anything... rash.” She encouraged, her hand gliding along the back of the chair as she lifted the glass to her lips. Usually there were bullets flying by now... but who were they going to shoot? Their employer? That would be bad for business. Stepping around from behind the chair she approached the closest thug, he was going to have to train the semi automatic weapon off the man holding his employer hostage and onto her. Anything short of pulling the trigger was not going to stop her. “This, here, is all out of your control... this is not where you wanted it to go down. And the moment either of you pull the trigger, it is going to be all over.” Your average street thug had the cognitive ability of a ten year old bully. Chances were she was going to get herself shot. But better her than someone else in her Lounge. “It is not too late to leave. To tuck those guns back into your jackets where they came from and pretend that none of his happened.” Almost on cue the extra security she had asked Jess to send to the Lounge arrived. All the while she was taking mental not of distances, between her and the bar ~ the nearest innocent bystander... there was nothing she could do that would not put everyone in more danger. Small arms fire was nothing compared to an enraged elemental. But they did not want to work that out. She saw the familiar figure moving along the balcony behind the seating, but her eyes did not look upwards. There was nothing in her demeanour but calm determination. She would force the thugs to back down one way or another. |

Watching the ebb and flow of Dusk’s crowd would be considered monotonous to some. While Asmodeus sought out each individual person who looked like they did not belong, at times it was the drunks that got thrown out, or maybe someone with a concealed weapon, they all had their tells. While the evening progressed there were three distinct individuals who walked in together. None of them looked familiar, and they all seemed to concentrate on someone else further up in the line. He would have dismissed them as nothing more than ‘odd’ humans. That was until the screaming. Subtly was never Asmodeus’ strong point as he turned to the sound, they were in the executive lounge, where a good portion of the people were... He had been cautioned by Nemetis on not scaring some of the patrons, as the last thing they needed was a trip’n’falls case. That was Nemetis’ excuse, but he knew Asmodeus would feel bad for injuring an innocent person. From his vantage he could see down the second story balcony that overlooked the main bar and a majority of the lounge. His marble hands gripped along the banister as he leapt over the wooden structure. The resounding thud echoed down the lobby to the beat of the nightclub. These people were not discreet and his feet stopped a few meters above Sephyr’s table. From his vantage he saw one man being used as a shield, pity for him. But it was the other two, the two which still held out those noisy weapons that pointed at the meat shield. His marble hands gripped onto the rail as he loomed over the balcony, his wings spread out a little more than usual as he knew he would need to use them to balance on his decent. But what a decent, a black marble statue carved and sculpted into the image of the demon. The moment either of them tried anything, other than putting down their weapons and walking away. Their lives were forfeit. |

It seemed that they were at a standstill. Silas had their boss's life literally in the palm of his hands while the other two had guns pointed at him as well as this mystery lady. In any other situation this could have possible worked in their favor. If they risked their boss's life and just shot and it were anyone else they might have been able to get away with murdering the two. However that was not the situation. Their enemy was Silas and a woman who seemed to be prepared for a situation exactly like this. Silas turned to the woman briefly. Her confidence was definitely something to be noted as she stood there seemingly unarmed, but she called the shots. The men who had their guns pointed at the two seemed to begin to reason with her. After all they were just low end thugs who wanted their 15 minutes of fame. However were those 15 minutes worth their existence. They definitely began to not think so, that was until they boss spoke. He yelled telling Silas to let go and telling the men not to just stand there with their tails in between their legs. However they weren't complete morons. They knew they couldn't just kill their boss and they guessed that if they made any violent moves that the owner as well as security was ready to counteract. However as the endgame seemed to get bleaker and bleaker, it seemed to make sense that if they went down they would at least take the man that they came for down with them. Not a word was spoken, however they looked at each other momentarily, each one knowing what the other was thinking, wondering if this was the right decision for them to make. Sephyr was nice in giving them a choice...However Silas wasn't a nice. He wasn't going to let a group threaten him and then get away with it. He hatred petty men like them and even more so he hated people with a grudge. If he let them go they would probably come back. They'd probably try to get him when he was alone or in a less secure area. The two men didn't make their decision, however at this point it didn't matter. Silas in his mind had already made their decision for them. As the boss was still barking hateful comments, Silas quickly re angled his hands and snapped the man's neck, killing him instantly. His hand then quickly moved down taking the boss's gun and shooting one shot, hitting one of the lesser thugs in the forehead, killing him instantly. Silas then removed the gun from the boss's hand and dropped the body that served as his shield. He aimed the gun at the other man, however he didn't shoot. He wanted to see what this woman would do. There was one man left, so would she fight? Would she let him go? He was curious to know why she was so confident, however the conclusion for the other man was already set. He was 100% going to die, the only thing that matter now was how and by who. |

As the single shot echoed throughout the executive lounge her charming patron did not need to wait to see what Sephyr would do. She had given them a chance, admittedly it had been a ploy to get closer to them. Had they chosen to leave she would have let them go. There was no doubt in her mind ~ if he had not acted when he did that her establishment would have been turned into a bloodbath, again. There was no hesitation, the moment the thug’s attention turned to watch the lifeless form of his companion double over on itself and slump to the ground. It was the last thing he would have seen, the audible snap of his neck at Sephyr’s hands reached the far corner of the otherwise silent Lounge. Death was not something she relished in, maybe it was Gavin’s influence or the endless nights on the streets dealing with thugs hardening her up. Usually it was the stench of burning flesh or watching a drug lab go up in flames around her. But this, this felt personal. This was her home as well as her business. Realising the threat was passed, the more delicate patrons turned and fled. Above her Asmodeus did not move, she shared his gaze as it turned to the red haired man still holding the gun. Any other night she would have been enraged. The thugs had followed him into her lounge which by association made him partly responsible. But that particular fault she laid squarely at the feet of her security staff. Three armed men should never have made it passed the front door. As for her guest he had not shown the least bit of hostility towards her. Casting a glance over her shoulder she quickly spoke to Jess, the waitress bouncing her weight from one foot to the other uncertain what she needed to do. “Call the police.” It was the first time a gun had been fired within Dusk, the first and last time if Sephyr had anything to do with it. She could have disposed of the bodies, but there were over two dozen eye witnesses who just saw her snap a man’s neck. Justifiable or not, that was not about to go away. “I somewhat doubt you would like to be here when they arrive.” There was a slight frown which played along her features as she watched him. For the first time she had a chance to actually look at him. Why was it always the attractive ones? He had to know the establishment had a security system, there would have been half a dozen cameras that captured him entering Dusk which live streamed offsite. Depending on what Jess told the police when she called them, it may have been the anti-gang unit which was dispatched to deal with the mess. Of course, they would still be a good 15 minutes away. Reaching across the table in front of him she lifted the bottle he had ordered. “I believe that you owe me a drink before you leave.” That was an obvious invitation to accompany the gentle sway of her hips as she stepped beyond the broken lifeless bodies. Leaning far across the end of the Bar she collected two clean glasses before continuing towards the double set of doors at the end of the Lounge. Beyond the doors the frozen night air greeted her, wrapping around her with little to no effect on the elemental. Not once did she look to see if he followed her. Stepping onto the decking of the outdoor entertaining area, she was the sole being out there. He could have quietly departed out the front door he had walked in through. If he still had hold of the gun no one on her security staff would have challenged him. |

And just like that it was over. It seemed that the red headed woman was more than capable of defending herself and by the way she killed him Silas guessed she might have had to do something similar to that before. After all not everyone was capable of taking a life so haphazardly, and not everyone would resort to just snapping a man's neck. He smirked for a brief moment before regaining his composure and walking back towards the table. He took out the ammunition from the gun and placed it in his pocket and left the gun on the table before turning back to Sephyr as he began to dress himself back up. He buttoned back on the upper part of his collared shirt and then tied his tie back on right before he put back on his suit jacket. As he dressed himself he heard the woman say something about calling the cops. He could have been concerned, however as far as the situation appeared he would probably look innocent. No one would know the back as story as to why those men were after Silas and if anyone asked he was the only person left to tell the tale. His story would be the only one and because of that he had complete control of what everyone would know. As for the cameras, those men approached and came after him. Silas was the victim here, and although he did kill two men rather easily, it was in self defense. As the lady spoke to him he turned and gave a soft smile before noticing her frown. "Is that right?", he asked as he walked back to the glass and poured himself a drink. He picked up the glass and took a sip and he noticed she picked up his bottle saying that he owed her a drink. He chuckled as he watched her walk off, getting two new glasses and walking outside of the lounge. He finished his drink and then placed his hands in his pockets as he walked behind her. He followed her outside and stood only a few feet away from behind her. "I'll only leave if you personally ask me to. But until that moment comes, I owe a certain crimson haired, gold eyed beaut a drink", he said before walking up and taking one of the glasses from her so that she could pour them both drinks. Silas smiled at her with his comment, after all they were both had red hair and gold eyes, and they both killed someone tonight. He could have easily been talking about himself, because he did need a drink, however he hoped she would see the humour in his comment. |

Sephyr leaned back against the reinforced glass fencing. Beyond that was the waterfront and magnificent view of the downtown area beyond. The only sounds were the gentle lapping of the waves and the pulse from the nightclub which was seemingly unaffected by the events within the Lounge. She let her eyes rake over him, taking in his formal attire, red hair... golden eyes. The sense she got was indescribable, but she was glad he followed her. “It has been my experience that few people within Niwa like to linger at the scene of a crime.” She chuckled softly, lifting the glass to her lips, the subtle inflection of her French accent finally coming through. But her eyes never left his as she tilted the glass back and drained the contents. So maybe drinking after she had just killed someone with the police on the way was not the best idea. However, it would burn out of her system before they subjected her to any kind of blood test. As to leaving a crime scene, she did that every other night, yet this was harder to walk away from. “I somehow doubt that I am going to be asking you to leave so make yourself comfortable.” Her attention finally shifted to the glass in her hands, turning it around in her fingertips before leaning across to set it down on the table top beside her. Sephyr was a creature who had no sense of personal boundaries, if she was any judge her mysterious companion for the evening maintained a respectful distance. He was taller than she was, not by much and solidly built. If that was not enough of a tell she had seen the way he handled himself. He was anything but a low level thug scraping for favours or a promotion. The liquid gold of her eyes shifted as she regarded him, the way her brows drew together in a frown. “Would it be too much to ask for an explanation for what just happened in there?” She was far too accustom to dealing with people who had secrets, her usual direct business approach melting away into something far more human. It had not been the request for a recap of what just happened inside. She had seen that with her own eyes, she had been a part of it. But for once it would have been nice to have someone give her a legitimate reason. Her empty hands came to rest on the top of the glass fencing, her weight mainly shifting onto her right foot. Everything about her posture relaxed, there was nothing threatening in her beyond the confidence and control which seemed a natural part of her. As was her curiosity which lingered in her gaze. |

Asmodeus’ features shifted with uncertainty as the events unfolded below him, staying true to Sephyr’s ultimatum Asmodeus did not lay a hand on them. He had seen dead people before, but this was different as he watched Sephyr snap the man’s neck. He never questioned if she was capable of such an act, he never assumed she would. Was she a warrior, or something else? There was no remorse in his features as he looked down to the three corpses that remained by the table. His head tilted slightly as he noticed Nemetis with a cell to his ear, the conversation was quiet but he felt it was important with the words that were spoken. In that moment Nemetis looked up to him, from what he could tell it was not a scolding gaze, more of a look of relief. Asmodeus nodded in the direction of the glass double doors where Sephyr had taken the gentleman. His eyes lingered for a moment longer before blinking back to where Nemetis was standing, but the bartender was already gone. As moments passed he continued to wait for a sign of Sephyr, the thought of her being taken into custody had not even dawned on him. The police will be warned about removing Sephyr, if she did not want to go. He lacked the voice to issue threats. But he realised he can be very persuasive at times. |
