| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Was this right? He looked up at the glass house, inspecting it for an address before looking back down at the slip of paper in his hand. Who was he kidding, of course it was right, he had double checked it quite a few times. Well, as many times as his frantic mind could at the time. Since then he had had a moment to calm down and collect his thoughts. One of the great things about the Moirai was how into information they were, which meant Yoshiya was in the know about a lot of things. One of which was something that worried him quite a bit. Fiora had her arm cut off. He didn't know all the details as soon after he found out, he immediately found out where she was, where her house was, and then set out to see her. He needed to know if she was alright. He hadn't known her for too long, but since she was the one who had inducted him, he felt a certain...bond towards her. Not to sound weird or anything. He sucked air into his lungs and held it for a bit. He was tired of waiting, it was time to see if she was alright. Exhaling, he knocked on her door. “Fiora? It's Yoshiya...you got a moment?" |

Day 2 As one approaches the home, the trees that surrounded it were massive, but that hand a sweet elegance to them. The yard was well maintained. However, as beautiful as it was, the feeling that surrounded the home was that of pain and suffering. If it weren't for the abundance of firewood she had, there would be no way that she would have survived the last two days. Her home was well insulated, but during the winter it was quite cold. She didn't believe in having heaters or man-made lights in her home. She liked the natural light, and the flickering of the fire in front of her. There was nothing greater then nature in its purest form. It was what made her home so different from the ones say up the street. All the wood and glass made the home open, and looking through the front you could see straight out the back. Even if the only thing in the house that was visible was just that. There was a single fire burning inside, but other then that there was nothing because it was so dark. The sound of the door knocking had the pyromancer hissing. Scarlett had heard what happened by Nemetis and rushed to find Fiora. Whether or not they were just business partners, their bond had become more then just that. At least to her it had. She would have been there sooner, but because of a training accident she wasn't able to get there till this morning. She heard the man talking from the door, and looked over into the living room where Fiora was. "It's someone named Yoshiya." Her tone was cold, as if she were ready to open the door and shoo him away. However, the very soft tone of the immortal asked her to let him in. Fiora had no idea why the new recruit could be there, but she had just told him that they were family. What kind of family would not allow their own into their home? Even if the red head was reluctant to allow the man in, she opened the door quick and starred at him. He would probably be very confused, but she huffed. "She's in the living room." The red head moved out of his way so that he could walk past her. Scarlett was dressed very formally, as if she were ready for a business meeting. Which is probably where she was heading off to. "I'll be back later Fiora." Behind Yoshiya, the door would close and the mean looking red head would be gone. Though, how mean could she be if she were there for her friend? Entering the home it brings them straight to the living room where there was no TV, but the lit fireplace facing the corner couch centered in the room. Out back was a beautiful view of the lake. The moonlight reflecting off of it and bringing in some light to see. The kitchen was off to the left, beside the dining room table. As Yoshiya would enter he'd see Fiora sitting in front of the fireplace, the fire flickering in front of her and bouncing off her face. She looked a mess, but it was hard to tell anything was physically wrong because a blanket was wrapped around her like she was a burrito. Her normally vibrant pink eyes seemed dead as she turned to look at the Moirai member she had inducted not to long ago. "Yoshiya.." There was evidence of a smile, but not a big one, "is everything alright?" Hopefully it wasn't something she would need to do outside of her home, the last thing she wanted to was to leave this sanctuary. |

So much for not offering riches or glory, huh? Fiora seemingly had a house keeper, and a rather attractive one at that. How much did that cost? While she seemed cold and mean on the outside, Yoshiya was sure that deep down somewhere there was a sweet woman who would reveal herself for only the right person. A true tsundere~! Who knows? Maybe that person was Fiora! He almost clapped his hands in delight. A house keeper/master romance, and an all girl one at that! Boy they were just breaking every mold, weren't they! He snapped himself out of whatever direction his mind was about to take him and thanked the red head as she made her exit. Now was not the time to be thinking stupid thoughts, not when there was a much more serious task at hand. He could work on fan fiction material later....not that he writes that of course. Seriously, he doesn't. He made his way on into the living room. The lack of common things such as lights, a TV, and a few other things was a little odd, but to each their own. The natural lighting was something along the lines of refreshing, but Yoshiya didn't think it was something he could live in. No, he much preferred electrical lights. That way he wouldn't have to worry about wind or rain. Though admittedly it did go well with the glass walls. When his eyes fell on her, he immediately looked to her side, morbid curiosity and concern driving him to do so. However, her blanket hid her body from view, a likely mercy. “Good question, Fiora, though not the best." He smiled at her to disarm any worried she might have. “A better question would be are YOU alright and is the other guy worse?" |

Fiora and Scarlett?... That's hilarious. His words made her chest clinch as she felt joy in hearing them. How had such a comment become an iconic symbol for them? She felt that they'd be saying that to one another for quite some time now, 'good question but the better question is...'. Fiora turned her attention to the fire in front of her, the only hand visible was on the one closest to him--her right one--and it clinched at the blanket that was wrapped around her. The great question that he asked her was something she didn't know how to answer. Was she alright? That was as simple as asking why is the sky blue? Fiora physically was fine, her arm was attached and there was barely a scar to remember her traumatic experience. Her side, hip and leg had been reformed back to how hey originally looked. However, she wasn't alright. Every time she'd look over at her arm she'd see it in her lap, and not attached to her body. Every time she'd go to grab at her hip, she'd feel the broken hip bone and flesh between her finger tips, not the soft elegant skin that wrapped her body. Just thinking about it, made her body tense and her body to curl up. Was the guy worse? No, that was a simple answer. Fiora could have killed him with that final swing. She could have taken his head off completely, severing it from his body. He would have died if not for what humanity that Fiora had left. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt Aurael, and it was obvious her choice in not killing him saved whatever friendship they may still have. How was she to respond to Yoshiya? She still could barely stomach thinking about the traumatic events that happened at Dusk, how was it possible for her to say them out loud? Even if that was going to be a solid step to recovery, she didn't see that happening any time soon. Her hands trembled as she brought her head down and rested her chin onto the blanket and shook her head. "No to both of your questions." Fiora looked towards him, her eyes glossed over as she took a deep breath. Had he just come to see her? Family, she needed to remember that is what they were. A part of her family had come to see how she was doing, but why did it still surprise her so much? Maybe it was because Aurael hadn't come to see her, that's probably what it was. That and it hadn't been too long since the incident, so that factor played into it. Fiora swallowed hard, her eyes speaking all of her torment. "You.. cared enough to come see how I was doing?..." She had to ask that question, it would have eaten her up if she didn't. The two of them had only shared maybe hours together, but even then there was a spark of something. Something there she hadn't felt with someone in a long time. |

This whole ordeal hit harder than normal for him. Once again a member of his family had gotten hurt, and he hasn't been able to do anything to stop it. While he knew it was impossible to be there to stop every bad thing from happening ever, he just wanted to protect them from the worst of it. Fiora was a friend..no, she was something greater. She was family now, and Yoshiya was very protective of his family. Even though he failed once before. His brown eyes looked into her smoke colored ones, and he saw the pain she felt, both emotional and physical, as the small piece of metal tore into her body. His confusion was soon answered with a realization that made him sick to his stomach. She had traded her life for his. The youth sat down next to her, keeping a respectful distance from Fiora. Earlier at the shop it had all been fun and games and new beginnings, but here the atmosphere was very sober. He wondered if he should say something to break the silence while he waited for her answer, but he decided against it, knowing she would speak when she felt comfortable enough to do so. Instead, he opted to look into her eyes and watch the story unfold there. While the finer details were lost on him, he got the important part: how she felt. The whole event had touched her in a way that deeply shook her, and for good reason. It would be a long while before it was fully fixed--if it ever could be. When finally she spoke, her answers did little to sooth his troubled mind. As far as he was concerned, two priorities were now set: No, she was not okay, and yes, someone still needed their ass kicked. It might seem a bit weird for him to be getting so protective over someone he just met, but as stated earlier, he felt strongly about his friends and family. “You.. cared enough to come see how I was doing?..." Her question brought him back from whatever direction his mind was about to take him again, though this time it likely led nowhere good. He looked at her with surprise in his eyes that she thought he was so heartless. “It's not like I could say ‘screw it, I don't care.' Of course I care; as soon as I found out what happened, I got here as fast as I could to see if you were okay or if you needed anything." He had barely even read the full report. All he really knew was what had happened to Fiora, and who had done it. He wasn't about to ask her to fill him in though, it was much too soon for that. He glanced around the room. “Though it seems your house keeper has thing under control..." The absolutely stunning house keeper, he added mentally. |

Maybe those were poor choice of words on her part. Fiora was just surprised that anyone, honestly, would find the time to come and see her. Scarlett was a special case; she had been employed by Scarlett and even if the red head didn't make any indication that was why she was there. Fiora didn't want to assume that the girl cared enough for her wellbeing enough to come and see her. Even if the pyromancer had all the right intentions. The immortal was just in a bad place that didn't understand why anyone felt the need to care for someone that was such a bad person? Yoshiya did not know who Fiora was. He didn't know what she had been before this. Even if she had tried so hard to change, it wasn't good enough. Fiora thought she had brought out a different person, yet the other night at Dusk proved that she was a fool for thinking such thoughts. His words were so sweet, it made her chest tighten. How could someone that had just met her be so nice to her? It boggled her mind, but she just needed to except it and move on. She wanted to know how he found out. If he knew who had done this to her. Was Aurael alright. How the blonde was doing. All of that she wanted to know, but couldn't form the words to ask it of him. He had come to see her, not for her to put him through an interrogation. "Thank you.." Her words were weak, but she felt better then she had in the last few hours having him beside her. Even if he wasn't exactly as close as she imagined him being. "You're definitely showing I made the right choice.." She meant bringing him into the Moirai. It was Aurael that sent her to find him and set him up with his task, however it was ultimately Fiora's decision to bring him on or not. Thankfully she made the right choice. He was definitely apart of the family, whether in baby form or not. His next statement had her wanting to laugh, but for some reason it didn't form between her lips. "The red head?" She asked, "Scarlett is a friend.." Her words all but telling him no that isn't my house keeper. Though he'd not get the impression she was anything more then a friend from her words. If he were watching her, it'd look as if she were about to say something else, but stopped before uttering a word. Her eyes closed shut and her body seemed to slump forward. "Nein, es ist immer noch da, es ist immer noch da" When she spoke, it was in German. Her words were a soft whisper but he'd still be able to make them out. The blanket that was wrapped around her slowly dropped down her shoulders, showing nothing but her bare skin and a thin spaghetti strapped tank top. Fiora hadn't been able to dress herself properly, and required she be able to see her arm. Scarlett put her in as minimal clothes as she could so she would be as comfortable as possible. He'd see her arm still attached to her body, a very light scar that rounded out where it had been severed was still there. However it was very minimum. Physically, Fiora looked perfectly fine, but it was obvious she was still in so much pain. "I-I'm sorry.." She said through her teeth. There was no motion in her left arm, but her right attempted to pull the blanket back over her shoulders. "No one should see me like this.." |

Oh, so she wasn't a house keeper? That explained a good amount he supposed. Not that he minded if Fiora could afford such things; technically his standard of living was as high as it could be either. But Yoshiya wanted to use as little of his parent's money as possible. They offered, being the loving pair they were, but it felt weird using money he hasn't earned. It kinda felt like stealing to him. Besides, it would be embarrassing if people found out, and his boss would likely give him hell over it. She mentioned making the right choice. He smiled modestly and looked down at his hands for a moment. “I haven't done anything yet. Just you wait, I'll show you something you can really be proud of! ...sooner or later." He looked at her and gave her a confident grin. But she was elsewhere, looking down at her lap and whispering in German. That made sense. She obviously wasn't Asian with her white hair and pink eyes, at least not a full blooded one. Germany was a nice place, a bit cold though. Of course it had been years since he was last there... “I'm sorry, I only caught ‘no' and ‘still there.' My German is quite a bit rusty." He was pretty sure whatever she said had to do with her arm, but he tried to keep her mind off of it as best as possible. “My family took a trip there once. I was very young, and don't remember much about the trip except that it was very cold. But I do remember enjoying it." Thinking about his parents brought his mind to his own Danish heritage. His father had been born in Denmark, which is where their family lived for a while before eventually moving here, to Niwa, Japan. Ah, the good times~ Pulling himself from his memories, he looked over at Fiora with concern once more before helping her lift the blanket around d her shoulders once more. “Hey now, none of that. You can be a big strong leader you want outside of your home, but this is your sanctuary. The place where you can drop all things like that, and just be yourself. If anything I should be saying I'm sorry for intruding on your personal area like this. I'm here to help you, alright? If you need anything, just ask and I'll fetch it for ya." Once the blanket was back in place (he had been mindful to not jostle her arm), he leaned back on his elbows and gazed into the fire. He had to admit, from this angle and where he sat, Fiora looked less like the leader of a movement, and more like a lady who just needed a hug. It was a little humanizing, and reached out and did it. But he didn't hold on for long. He didn't want to over estimate the bounds of their relationship, and accidentally make things a bit weird. At least not while she was like this. Any other time, and Yoshiya would shamelessly flirt away with her, as he had done at the shop. Desiring to make a little conversation, and trying to get her mind off the present predicament, Yoshiya asked, “So, how'd you guys start the Moirai? Was is a quick decision, or more subtle planning?" "It meant, 'no it's still there, it's still there.'" Fiora said softly, feeling his hands come up and brush against her skin to pull the blanket back over her shoulders, had her leaning off towards him. He was warm, even warming then the fire in front of her. It distracted her for a moment, taking her mind off the events that had happened no more then forty-eight hours ago. The spark of his finger tips against her cold skin made everything seem unreal. Fiora hadn't ignored what he was saying, but she just didn't say anything to him. There were times and places for them to discuss their past and their families, but it wasn't the time now. Fiora would actually fully enjoy hearing about his family. As he kept talking, she turned her attention away from him. Fiora needed to be strong, and showing this kind of weakness to one of recruits was not something she was looking highly upon. Yet she didn't ask for him here, he just showed up. Though that was not to say she didn't want him there. Scarlett's presence was needed. If it hadn't been for her, earlier she would have probably fallen in the shower and that wouldn't have been good. Even if Scarlett wouldn't clean up her room, she at least took care of her physically. Not like that, but in the sense of making sure she got what she needed. Fiora was taken off guard when Yoshiya wrapped his arms around her and held her softly. She could feel her hand that held the blanket around her, moving towards his arm to hold onto him. There was no way she could ask him to stay there, no reason for her to beg him to keep holding on. Even if she wanted someone that cared to keep her close, she could not ask that of Yoshiya. So when he pulled away, as much as she wanted it to continue, she didn't fight for him to stay. She pulled up her knees to her chest and she wrapped her arm around them with her right arm. Yoshiya would not have noticed that she was upset that he didn't hold her longer, but he'd see a glimpse of disappointment in her eyes. When he asked about the Moirai, and how they got started, Fiora closed her eyes. The only thing that came to her mind was Aurael. And it did nothing but break her heart. She couldn't even think about how the Moirai had been brought up, all she could see was the concern in Aurael's eyes for the man that had done this to her. She felt her head pounding and her heart swell, 'Just answer his question, please don't break down' "Um.." She bit softly at the corner of her lips, "It was all Aura--mmmhm" She cleared her throat, "Aurael.. she was the one." Fiora took a deep breath and shook her head. "Maybe later.." She tried to keep herself from thinking about it, but this topic wasn't helping. It wasn't Yoshiya's fault in the slightest, but she just couldn't bring herself to discuss Aurael at the moment. Licking her lips, she looked towards him, "Can I ask you for something?" |

Okay, so Yoshiya was failing at the small talk department, not something entirely new, but still slightly awkward. Though he understood Fiora's general quietness. If he lost his arm he'd probably be very quiet too. That is after he stopped screaming like a stuck pig. Uh, a very manly and strong pig, that is. He watched her as she tried to explain the Moirai's origins, but failed. She didn't show much give, but it was enough. He knew Aurael had been there when the whole thing went down. Whatever had actually happened had apparently damaged their relationship, at least on Fiora's end. He wouldn't hold it against Aurael, not yet anyways. He still didn't know a lot about what happened, and as long as she wasn't the one who did the dismembering, he had no quarrel with her. And there was also the matter of Aurael being his superior, that also factored in a little bit. Yoshiya would rather not start his career with negative feelings towards one of his Moirai bosses. No, the only person he had beef with was the arm-slicer. If he ever got his hands on the guy who did this, he'd take him out back and-- “Can I ask you for something?" “Hm...? She had once again interrupted his thoughts, though that was of course perfectly fine. “Oh, yeah. Go right ahead. I said I'm here if you need me to get ya anything. What's up?" He idly wondered what Kanon would do if she had come along. Probably blankly stare at the wall until it was time to go. She was a little odd... Wait, why was he thinking about her right now? ‘Get out of my head, you she-banshee!' |

Fiora felt bad for shooting his small talk down, but it would have only made things worse. She actually did need something, but it was an odd request. Especially because he didn't know her well enough to understand why she needed it done. This was the second day she had slept in bloody sheets, and she wasn't a fan of waking up to it. Every time she did, it was like she was finding herself without her arm all over again. Also, she liked things clean and neat. Her room was the complete opposite of that, and it seemed that Yoshiya was willing to help her with just about anything at the moment. "Do you mind taking me upstairs and helping me change my sheets?" Her innocence was written in her eyes as she met his. There was nothing dirty about her comment or no intention to harm him. If she wasn't in such pain, the question may have seemed awkward. Maybe even lude. However she didn't mean anything by it. Clearing her throat she dropped the blanket and let it fall to the ground. He had seen her in a big coat and pants before. Now, was a completely different story. The tight spaghetti strapped tank top was tight around her slender waist, showing him every curve and dimple of her body. Her left arm was slumped over her lap, and seemed as if it had no life to it. Her spandex shorts were short enough to not be considered shorts in the eyes of most and she had these fuzzy socks on. All but her socks, which were pink, were black. Her long silver hair fell over her shoulders as she pushed herself forward. Her right hand pressing against the floor as she sat up on her knees and began trying to get herself up off the floor. "Also, some help up..would be nice.." |
