Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Fuyuyama Proper - Fiora's Home

The place at which Fiora called home was not easily discovered. She lived down a lone street, that use to be inhabited by an old shake. When she moved to Niwa, she instantly had it converted into a modernized glass-house, that had no internal lights but the one the sun brought in. As one approaches the home, the trees that surrounded it were massive, but that hand a sweet elegance to them. The yard was well maintained. However, as beautiful as it was, the feeling that surrounded the home was that of pain and suffering.

It had just become dark, and the only light that lit the home were the flickering of candles across the window seals. The door that would allow anyone into her home, was wide open. The very soft sounds of a piano noise was echoing through the home. The only sound other then the beautiful noise of the piano was that of the crackling of a fireplace. When stepping into the home, there is the smell of vanilla that flows through the home. It was a beautiful place to behold, but yet there was still darkness everywhere.

Entering the home it brings them straight to the living room where there was no TV, but the lit fireplace facing the corner couch centered in the room. Out back was a beautiful view of the lake. The moonlight reflecting off of it and bringing in some light to see. The kitchen was off to the left, beside the dining room table. However, the owner was no where to be seen.

Why would someone leave their door open, for anyone to just come in?

Moving in further the sounds of water running would capture the attention of the one walking through her home. It was coming from upstairs, in at which would be led by the wooden slabs that acted as stairs. However, the water would soon end, and there would be nothing but the piano and crackling of fire. Whether or not the intruder was bold or not, only a few seconds later the loud thud of something, or someone, falling would echo down the hall.

Her bedroom was in complete shambles. The sheets on her bed were spread out all over the floor; her bloody clothing sprawled across the room. Lamps were turned over and even a vase was shattered across the floor. There were bloody hand prints across her furniture and even on the glass windows that looked out over the lake.

Fiora had come home that morning from the overnight stay at Dr. Wade's clinic, and had instantly fell asleep. She had slept all day, and when she had woken--shaken from a nightmare--she attempted to shower. She had got through most of it, but when sever pain shot through arm she wasn't able to take it anymore and she needed to get out. Sadly she hadn't made it too far out of the bathroom, when she felt weak and tumbled to the floor. Her robe tangling between her legs, she curled up on the floor and grabbed at her left arm.

She sometimes couldn't feel it there. As if it were still gone, severed from her body. The immortal looked helpless, her body trembling as she tried to push herself up to her feet, however it was hopeless. The farthest she had gotten was to her knees, where she sat there and hunched over and gripping at her arm. How had she lost it so much?

"So.. stupid..." The words she spoke were soft, very hard to hear unless standing right over her. The pit pat of tears falling from her eyes hit her wooden floor as she let her left arm lay limp at her side. "so... so stupid..."

She could hear him speak Germany to her, call if she needed anything. Like she would ask for someone to come and dress her. Fiora wanted nothing but to be alone in her secluded home. The sounds of her own voice made her sick. Why was that? She questioned if it were because she was disgusted with herself. Maybe it was because for once she wanted to regret, but she couldn't. It wasn't in her nature to want to take something back. The man that had done this to her, she wanted him to suffer. Because what he didn't realize was that he hadn't just severed her arm, he had severed her heart too. How could she ever look at Aurael again? All she would imagine is her going to him, instead of her.

Lifting her right arm, Fiora punched the wall with extreme force. "Fick ..." She punched so hard that the wall dented in and her knuckles bruised almost instantly. There was a small cut between her middle figure and index finger, but she just ignored it and moved her hand up to her shoulders.

Removing the robe and letting it fall down to the ground she grabbed hold of a night gown and slipped it on over her head. She had to find the will inside of her to tell herself that her arm was still there. Yet, what will did she have? There was little to none left. So having to use her other hand to forcefully lift her arm up into the open arm pocket she did. The beautiful gown was silk and fell at the midway point of her thighs. It was a beautiful blue color, with laced flowers at the trip and upper right chest. This man was the first guest she had ever had, and this was one of the reasons why.

Fiora just stood in there for a moment while she tried to pull her hair up onto a pony tail, but failed. Any girl can tell you how hard it is to do that with one hand. With frustration she let it go and just stormed out of the closet. Both of her arms trembled but she seemed to be more steady then she was. Small droplets of blood tapped on the ground from her hand as she stood there in front of the man.

Silas
Silas merely awaited for the woman to come back out. He was sure to not intrude while she was changing and would only come if summoned. He heard her curse on the other side of the wall and could only imagine that she was struggling. He sighed as he looked up to the ceiling until he heard the door open. He brought her gaze back down to look at her. He noticed her arms trembled slightly and it seemed as if she hurt herself, however he didn't may much attention to the latter as he was sure she would recover soon.

"You look a lot better now that you've cleaned up", he said as he made his way towards the bed to sit back down at the edge of it. Once again she spoke German, introducing herself as Fiora and then asking him for his name. He could have answered back in German, however he really didn't feel like it. It wasn't exactly his favorite language and he really didn't want to keep responding to the point where he'd be speaking German all night long.

"Well Fiora, my name is Silas...", he said as he brought his hand up and motioned for her to come closer and join him.

Fiora looked at Silas and rolled her eyes, "I'm going to take that as a compliment and not an insult." She was sure that he didn't care whichever way she was going to take it. It was about time she went back to speaking Japanese. There were times were she found speaking German made her feel better, but seeing as it really wasn't helping there was no point in continuing.

It was so strange, his presence wasn't wanted.. yet for some reason Fiora couldn't bring herself to kick him out or stay away from him. His gesture towards him all but pulled her like a rope was tied around her waist. Whatever he was, was working to his advantage right now. Normally Fiora would have not stood for someone just strolling into her home, especially now that he was seeming to make himself comfortable in her home...

"Silas.." It sounded like a bad-guys name. This immortal was not drawn to the bad boys, so he better not be looking for her to melt into his arms.

Lifting her right hand, as her left still lay lifeless against her side, she rested it into the one he extended to her. Inside she fought to keep herself stable, not physically--she stood completely fine--but mentally. She was fighting demons that were crawling up to her head and trying to remind her of the events that had happened the last twenty-four hours.

Silas
As she took his hand Silas felt a chill. She was cold, and lost in his own mind. Perhaps he was the only one that could help her after all, however what he was going to do...he wondered slightly how she was going to take it. He closed his hand with hers in it and looked at her.

"You're lost...I will try and find you", he said as he made direct eye contact with her now. His gaze compelling, almost hypnotic...until it actually became hypnotic. Right now with his gaze he was looking into her mind, her soul, her subconscious and in her current broken state he doubted that she would be able to resist him for long if at all.

"Right now I want you to clear your mind...take deep breaths...and tell me what happened to you. In whatever graphic detail you have to. But don't be scared, the worst of it is over, it's already happened". Silas wanted her to describe her tragedy to her, hopefully if he were deep enough in her head she would do it, however she wouldn't feel fear or disabled until she woke up, as if it were a trace.

Unfortunately for Fiora, she wasn't ready for him to compel her, at least not as quickly as he had. His words made no sense, but it soon would be lost as she stood there in front of him; compelled and hypnotized by his eyes. If she had known to keep her eyes from him, she would've done so promptly. It was just too late for her, and she had lost herself in him.

If it weren't for his orders to not be scared, she wouldn't have been able to return to that memory..

"I'm second in command for a gang known as the Moirai, me and my sister were in the process of recruiting an individual by the name of Lares Scott. He was going to get a test of his skill against me or an associate of ours..." Her words were stale, as if she were reading them out of a book. "He was became too physical with my sister, and for someone to disrespect her as such I couldn't have it." Anger for a moment flooded her eyes, however they soon passed over to fear. Even if she wouldn't show it, her heart began to beat faster and her hands were becoming clammy.

"Maybe I overreacted by putting a blade to his throat, however if I were going to kill him I wouldn't have stopped." She couldn't pull her gaze away from him, as much as she wanted to look away. The expression on her face never faltering, but her eyes began to swell and tears balled in her eyes.

"I don't know how I moved so fast, and honestly I can't tell you what happened. All I remember was the pain and the blood that was splattered all over the walls and floor. Lares had severed my arm, and taken chunks of my side and leg away. I through a rock, and he returned with a grenade." Fiora was too overprotective of Aurael, and she knew that. However, the two of them had obviously known one another from the way her sister reacted. Lares had went over the top with what he did, and aimed to kill Fiora without asking any questions.

That was someone that didn't deserve to be in the Moirai.

The tears fell down her cheek, "I don't remember much after that, but what I do remember seeing is my sister..." She choked on her words, "Going to this man that had all but killed me, and comforted him." The physical pain was something she'd be haunted with for a long time, but that image of seeing her go to him was something she'd live with for eternity.

"Nemetis took me and brought me to a healer, who put my arm back and returned my body to its original state. However, mentally I doubt I will recover from as quickly..." Her chest hurt, and tears still ran from her eyes. Yet she stayed calm, but it was only because of Silas and the hold he had on her. If not for that, her reaction would have been all but ten times worse.

Silas
Silas observed very closely as she told her story. He watched as her emotions switched from stale, to angry, to afraid to pure fear. It seemed that she was a person of honour, as well as a loving one who was betrayed and attacked viciously. She was scarred because for a brief moment she thought her immortal existence was going to come to an end. However it wasn't just the actual attack but the feeling of betrayal in her life that magnified it all. In the end it seemed that she was scared because her immortal existence was a lie. Because she knew she could have died at any time and if she did, she probably would have done it alone with no one at her side.

There was also a lot about Fiora that he learned outside of her inner turmoil. She was second in command of a gang called the Moirai, something he had only heard about within the streets of Niwa. It was interesting that he got to meet her now, for now her life had some value. Perhaps she could be a useful asset for him in the future. However that meant whatever happened between them now had to be good, or at least end on good terms.

As she finished her story he stood up still holding her hand in his and he used his free hand to wipe away the tear that had escaped from her eye. He then let go of her hand and held both her arms, feeling the uneasiness she was going through. Even though he had told her to be calm and not afraid she shed a tear and now he could feel that her heart rate had increased slightly past what was normal.

"Very good...you went through that beautifully. Now I want you to follow me and start to take deep breaths. Close your eyes and repeat after me". At this point he was already inside her head, all he had to do was talk and she would listen. He started to take deep breaths. Slowly breathing in, and then out. "I want you to focus in on your emotions and pain every time you take a breath in...and when you breath out I want you to exhale them all. Keep doing that until you actually turn off your emotions and throw away your pain. While it will still be buried deep down inside of you, you won't pay any attention to them until one emotion becomes powerful enough to consume the rest...and hopefully it will be one to make you actually forget about all your troubles".

After he finished speaking it took one more deep breath and then let her go and walked a few steps back, distancing himself a little from her. "You were hurt...Emotionally and physically. However the physical has healed and the scars lie within your heart. You see those emotions are an immortals greatest weakness. For you if allow someone to come in, they can easily destroy you from the inside out. If you want to survive, then do it on your own. No one else should matter but you...and if someone does matter make sure they will never be in a position to hurt you. And if they are...eliminate them"

Fiora turned towards his hand that wiped her tears away, she felt nothing still, even if inside her emotions were going wild. Whatever hold that Silas had on her, it was in deep and there was no pulling away from it. Not in the state that Fiora was in. As much as she wanted to pull away, not listen to anything he had to say, and to not be attracted to him; she could not. Even when he let go of her hand, she still stood there. The immortal wanted to move away before he put his hands up and held onto her arms. Something about what he was going to say just didn't feel right to her.

It felt... too familiar.

Unfortunately she was right, because as she spoke she began to feel like her old self. When she was in the war, killing those innocent people, she had no emotions. She was an empty vessel of what it was like to have no soul. Her body was nothing more then an instrument to those that ruled over Germany, and now it was beginning to feel that same way.

Fiora took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The pain she had suffered, it began to file away into the deepest part of her mind. The rage she suffered, it fell towards the back, and the betrayal that was haunting her burned into ash. Was she to forgive? No, she couldn't feel the forgiveness coming.

She took another breath, and let it out slowly. Maybe he was right; she would have never taken such a blow for anyone back during the war. Fiora didn't do anything for anyone other then herself, and for that she had survived. Yet, the one time that she turns around and tries to protect and uphold some one else's honor, she almost loses her life. His words, they may have brought back all the bloodshed, however it was truthful words. Fiora had survived for over three hundred years, against meta-humans that completely outranked her in abilities, but yet she came out of them without a single deadly wound.

There were many in a position to hurt her, one too many in her opinion. All of which she could eliminate if given the opportunity to do so.

However, did Fiora want to slip back into that? She was afraid to do it. For that fear, her eyes slowly opened, the vivid pink color had darkened and they almost looked dead. A shadow covered over her eyes as she dropped her head. "I... can't..." If she were to slip back into that woman, she didn't know if she could bring herself back from it. There had been that little girl that brought her back, but there was no one with that pull over her these days.

Fiora tired to fight from falling into that hole, but with Silas's grasp on her...

She feared...

She'd be lost.

Silas
Silas had no regrets for what he was doing. While during the process she might resist and even may look like she was about to fall into absolute despair in the end he knew it was for the best. Worst case scenario for him was that she became an even bigger pain with no emotions and would lash out at him for intruding in her home. After all no emotions meant no fear, nothing to lose. However at that point he'd probably just be done with it all and kill her. At least if it came to that and he did have to kill her due to her lack of emotions it probably wouldn't be that much of a sentimental scene.

She was obviously resisting from letting go of all of her emotions, however in the end Silas's grasp seemed to be absolute. It seemed like she was going deep into her mind, reliving something. He was curious as to what she could have been thinking about but soon it wouldn't matter, soon nothing would matter. She would become completely emotionless, living for the sake of living, yet ironically able to live her life to the max because there would be nothing to hold her back.

Any moment now...

There was suddenly another breakthrough and Fiora seemed to almost as if she didn't want to let it all go. Her eyes seemed to grow colder, darker...more empty. As her head fell Silas used his hand to raise her head by her chin. "Don't think of this as a bad thing...I'm not taking away your life, but I'm giving you the opportunity to live. Once you let everything go it may seem cold for a moment but you can literally do whatever you want, have whatever you want, claim whatever you want without having to worry".

He then let go of her head and walked back to the bed and sat down waiting for the process to be over. Once he sensed that the struggle was over he merely clapped for a brief moment.

"Welcome back...So tell me, what does Fiora want most?"

Torment. Hatred. Sadness. Fear. Betrayal. Pain. Joy. Happiness.

She could feel them leaving, diving into the darkest portion of her brain and disappearing into the abyss. How had she gotten to this point? If she could go back, none of this would have happened. She would not be losing herself to that darkness once again, yet it wasn't up to her anymore. Her free will had been taken from her, whether or not she wanted it to or not. Even if she was beginning to feel free, it was still something she feared.

When he pulled her head up, her eyes seemed to become lifeless. Fiora had no will to fight anymore. It had taken so long for her to get to that soft, caring person she had shown to Aurael and so many others. Yet, it was gone. As it had been in the war, she was now a lifeless being hell bent on doing what she felt was benefit her and her alone.

As he moved away from her, she stood there for a moment. Her arms lifting up, and brushing through her silver hair with ease. Nothing of her past pain was present. He had gotten what his goal was, Fiora's entire existence was empty. Even though, this was an amazing look for her. It was as if she were meant to be this kind of person, yet had changed to becoming something that she wasn't. Oh how the world worked; it was something that she was beginning to understand and hate.

Fiora turned her attention from him and looked off to the side. There were many things she imagined doing, one of them was turning that Lares inside out, and feeding his own cock to himself. The next was to show Aurael how it felt to be betrayed, by killing Lares in front of her. Even if she couldn't go to the point of killing Aurael herself, she felt suffering was the key to revenge. However, she couldn't do that now. There was only one thing she could do, and there was nothing holding her back now.

(I've been given permission to do this.)

Stepping off to the side, Fiora would have disappeared completely from Silas's view. She had completely stepped into his blind spot and walked around him with ease. Even as she crawled onto the bed behind him, he'd feel nothing move beneath him. She was the master thief after all; moving silently and undetectable was what she was made for. The only thing he'd feel would be one of her hands wrapping around his throat and the other at his jaw, before she pulled her hands apart and snapped his neck; almost sending it in a full circle.

Pushing him off to the side, he'd fall down towards the head of the bed, and hit the pillows with a thud. Fiora moved off the bed, putting her feet to the ground and standing up. She said nothing, felt nothing, and definitely did not regret it. With that notion, she rounded the bed and moved over towards his side, her lifeless eyes looking down at his body...

Had he really released the beast inside?

Silas
It was silent for a moment and Silas awaited a response however it didn't seem like he was going to get one. Perhaps it was too soon to ask an emotionally emptied person what they wanted since desire is emotion influenced. However he soon saw that Fiora finally turned her attention to him, however the look in her eye was different. Very similar to that of an assassin, which seemed to be a very fitting nature for the woman. He was impressed for a moment until she vanished from his eye sight.

The next thing Silas felt was her hands wrapping around his neck in a fashion he was very familiar with. He raised his eyebrows for a moment before speaking "Oh...?". That word was all he managed to say before his neck was broken and he fell backwards on her bed left for dead.

He laid down on the bed motionless for a few moments until a cracking sound was heard. It sounded as if the bones that were broken repaired themselves only a few seconds after he had fallen and after the finally crack his hand pulsed and his eyes awoken. Silas got up gesturing his neck to the left and then to the right cracking it, seemingly making sure everything was in place before looking back at Fiora.

"You know...I had a feeling that would happen. For a second there I really debated killing you, however I realized I'm here in your home and I just put you through so much...I guess it's only appropriate that I get my neck broken as a response. However do that again and I promise you I won't be so kind", he said continuing to stretch his neck. After a few moments he then looked up and then back at Fiora before smirking. He disappeared appearing in her blind spot stroking her neck briefly before disappearing and appearing right before her.

"I liked that trick you use to catch me off guard...Scratch when I said that you looked better when you cleaned up before...This look is your best one yet", he said to her as he got a little closer.
