Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Friday Afternoon 4 P.M.
Overcast sky -- 75 degrees
Yuki Corp. Park
Kite Flying Time!

Mizu had a large bag that she had wrapped around her shoulder, that was just a bit to big for little Mizu to be carrying. She had a very large smile on her face, she hadn't been to the Park yet since she had arrived here in Niwa. Mizu figured, what better way to greet this beautiful park then with kites! Within the bag she had four different kinds of kites: a dragon, a butterfly, a Light Inspired Kite, and another dragon!. They were all in different pieces so Mizu would have to put them together. Which she didn't mind, she had all the time in the world. It was about four in the afternoon, and the sky was overcast, and there was a slight wind that was starting to pick up. It was a perfect day to fly some kites!

Mizu found a very open area where there weren't many people around where she could begin to start putting the kites together. Setting down her bag she stretched her petite arms up into the air and let out a noise.
"Nyyaa~" As she stretched. Putting her hands to her hips she grinned. "Alright, lets do this!" Mizu was so tiny, just barely standing over five feet, and had the tiniest little arms and legs. She looked relatively young for being over two thousand years old. She wore skinny blue jeans and a white t shirt that hugged her slender waist.

She sat down and began pulling out some of the pieces for the first dragon kit and began putting it together. When she pulled out the main cloth for the kite, a heavy gust picked up, and pulled the cloth out of her hand. Her light blue hair flying around her face, and preventing her from immediately grabbing it.
"Noo!" Mizu squealed and stood up and began running after it, her hands flailing in the air as she attempted to catch up to the run away kite!

The day was a bit overcast and though Shoji prefer the nice sunny days he would still take the day off with glee. His shaggy dirty blond hair was down for once, swaying mid ear as he strolled along in a black kimono with midnight blue petals embroidered into it. It was high quality but he didn't even seem to care as he walked along the grass and drew a deep breath of the fresh air. As wonderful as it was... He was dying of boredom! His hand reached into the silk bag and he pulled a piece of bubble gum out before popping it into his mouth.

Oh sweet heaven.. he loved candy. With a smile he continued to stroll around and was coming up a hill when he a wild kite dove right over his head. He heard a cry of displeasure and saw the young girl giving chase and with amazing grace and speed he turned and leapt towards the tail, catching it just barely by the tip. "Ack!" he let out a squeak, stumbling a bit but stood triumphantly and held it up. "I got it!" he called out to her with a wide grin.

He paused, coughing and realized in his moment of heroic.. he had swallowed the piece of gum. "Oh shoot.. before it was even out of flavor too.." he sighed but started to walk towards the young woman and smiled at her brightly. "Here you go.. this must be yours right?" he had a charming smile as he gazed at her, holding the kite out towards her.

Mizu smiled seeing a young man grab hold of her kite. She sprinted towards him and waved her hand in the air. Planting her feet in front of him she bowed her body forward, it was an awkward robotic looking bow, but she did it nonetheless. Mizu was still pretty new to Japanese customs, but she was trying. One of these days her bow wouldn't look like it was mechanical. She looked up at the man, her bright blue eyes sparkled, literally! Within her eyes it would look like shooting stars flying down within them. One of her many curses of having a Goddess living within you. She extended her petite arms and took the kit from him and giggled softly. "Thank you, so much! Silly wind got a hold of it and took it right out of my hands" The sound of her voice was very soft and innocent, very smoothing and sounded very young. Her hand extended and put it out to shake the mans.

"My name is Mizuiro Aoi Tsugumi, but you can call me Mizu!"
She was very excited to see someone else there, maybe he would want to fly a kite with her. Getting to interact with someone else while doing a Japanese tradition of flying a kite! Mizu was way to excited to put into words.
'You should probably calm down, your excitement is showing.'
Attalu teased Mizu, it wasn't a mean tease, just one that she knew would poke Mizu in the sensitive area of her mind.

Shoji smiled at the bright cheeriness of the young girl who seemed so very happy. Something about her smile and the way she sparkled had him very interested in knowing her. His hand extended to hers, his own were as soft as milk and the fingers seemed delicate to be that more of a woman than a man. In fact up close... Shoji was very feminine looking and could easily pass as a woman had he done his makeup that day.

"A pleasure to meet you Mizu." he returned the bow but his was graceful and very well executed. Since he was wearing the kimono it was much like the bow of a refined Geisha before he stood back up straight. "I am surprised to see anyone actually out here flying kites but it does seem like one very good idea since the wind today is quite pleasant."

He reached a hand up to brush a bit of the dirty blond hair away as he smiled at the lovely young woman, he wasn't only about 4 inches taller than her, a bit short for a male and yet somehow the height seemed just so fitting of his feminine frame.

Mizu, when taking his hand, felt just how soft he was. It was kind of like a girls hand, it was like holding a babies bottom. Which probably wasn't the best way to describe someones hand, but the feeling was the same. She waited for him to give her his name, but it never came, so she asked. "Whats your name?" Innocently enough, as he spoke about the flying kits she nodded her head.

"I thought it was perfect, seeing as though the wind wasn't TO strong, but would be strong enough to take the kits up into the air! Would you join me? I'd love the company." Mizu was very sociable, even if she didn't talk much in a group of people.

He blinked, his beautiful cerulean eyes at her and gazed at her quietly before laughing softly. He was so caught up with the idea of the kite he hadn't been paying very good attention to his manners. His cheeks blushed a bit and touched his cheeks a bit. "Neh.. Gomen! My name is Shoji Takai. I'm so sorry for my rudeness but today is my day off so my brain isn't quite working." he shook his head a bit and then glanced to the kite, then leaned a bit over to where her other stuff was.

He blinked again and then his grin grew wide. "I have not flown a kite since I was a little boy! I would love to join you actually!" he declared happily. "What kind of other kites might you have?" he started to walk over to the bags and patiently waited or her to allow him to use one, he would not be so rude that he would just reach right for one since they were not his. And yet.. his eyes saw one that looked like butterfly... he adored sparkly pretty butterflies! He couldn't help but want to fly that one, hoping that maybe she would take the one she was already setting up.

"I can't believe you were out here on your own flying the kites. Perhaps it was fate that decided to take your kite from you and bring you right to me, neh? Oh what a cute story it would be if I were one of those large charming men to sweep you off your feet? How romantic!" he giggled slightly and gave a bit of a squeak... indeed Shoji was not the type to sweep her off her feet but he could still pretend for a moment what i might have been like to be straight.

"Nya~ its a pleasure to meet you Shoji!" She giggled and nodded her head. As he agreed to go and fly the kites with her, Mizu jumped into the air happily. "Yay!"

That confirmed it for her, he was a homosexual for sure. Mizu had lived so long that seeing the evolution of gay's grow astonished her. It went from being a natural tendency to be gay, to people shunning it, then to killing them like they were witches, to the fight for gay marriage. The entire political issue made Mizu sick, honestly, love was love. The feelings one had towards either sex, was that of the person that is feeling them; not for the world to judge. It was the squealing that gave it away, he sounded just like her when she saw a kitty. She was adoring this one more and more each second that he was in her presence.

It was funny, he was treating her as if she were around his age, maybe younger. The concept of having someone sweep her off her feet was long passed in thought, but she would engage in his imagination.
"And live happily ever after!" She watched a lot of Disney movies to get caught up on the trends, the Swan Princess had to be her favorite...but that was going off topic. As she opened the bag fully she spoke.

"Alright! I've got another dragon, a lantern styled one, and a beautiful butterfly one!" She giggled and pushed the bag towards Shoji. "Please take your pick! You'll have to assemble them like I'm doing with mine. I'll help you if you need it. I just recently learned how to fly a kite myself. When I was born they didn't have devices like this." She paused as she sat down on the ground and crossed her legs, she really did look like a child sitting there putting her kite together.

Shoji neatly folded his legs and kimono beneath him as he sat down beside her and gently took out the butterfly one, smiling at it and very carefully started to pull out all the pieces as he looked it over. She got very lucky about the part of these not being around when she was born.. as Shoji was a bit slow to realize what she had said.

"Nyah... they're so pretty! When I was a child we had one day at school where we got to fly kites! And sometimes.. on the weekends my father would take me to the park to fly them too." His smile grew a bit sad as he thought about his father and then he glanced to hers. "It's been a while but... wait.." he paused, touching his fingers like he was counting when he finally seemed to think about what she had said. "Born? When were born if they didn't have kites?" he tilted his head and blinked a bit at her.

He remembered when he studied history, his favorite subject, that kites had been around for a very long time. In fact in Asia they had existed way long ago and even some early cultures used them such as Benjamin Franklin who invented electricity. If she hadn't been around before that... just how old was this charming young woman?

Watching as he enjoyed himself, pulling out the kites and beginning to assemble the butterfly one, Mizu giggled and wiggled her body. She put her hands together and rested her cheek against the top of her palm and smiled widely.

"I am over 2500 years old!" The utter shock would fall upon him, so before he freaked out Mizu explained. "I'm immortal. I have a being living within me that keeps me living for eternity." She continued putting the kite together, while keeping her eye on Shoji, she wanted to make sure she didn't freak him out and have him run away. He was great company, but the whole eternity was a fifty/fifty thing, they would either understand or they would freak and run.

"The first kit was created in China in 549 AD so close to 2600 years ago. The kite was first created as a messaging system, but failed because it was made out of paper."
She giggled, oh knowledge, how Mizu enjoyed it. She continued "But I lived in Egypt and Kites didn't show up almost a thousand years after I had been cursed. Luckily for me though, I got to learn how to fly a kite a few years ago. Now I absolutely love it."

Shoji just sat there for a bit and watched her for a moment as she explained that she was way older than what he was thinking. Though... he had a very strange reaction indeed. He didn't run or freak out at all. He laughed at that and shook his head a bit. "Gomen.. I just... wow. You are the second person I have met now with a much longer life than they look." he explained and shook his head a little.

"It seems that is just fate for me. You see I have an immune system of that of a God... I can catch no virus or disease or any sort of bad health thing. I have started to wonder lately how long I will live since I am as healthy as ox despite the only thing I eat being sugars. Even my rice.. I put cinnamon and sugar or I eat sweetened pork. Oh and steamed pork buns. Hm.. just thinking about it makes me hungry." he chuckled and went back to putting together the kite with a bright smile.

"I met a very lovely vampire girl earlier this week as well... she went out dancing with me and we painted the town red!" He grinned and held up the butterfly, showing it to her all completely put together and then ran his fingers over it gently to make sure the pieces were all nice and secure.
