| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? "Ahhh~" A long sigh escaped what looked to be a young girls lips. The sun was shinning brightly on a Fall morning by the boardwalk. The girl had her hands wrapped tightly around the handle bars of a purple bicycle, her very long light blue colored hair was moving gracefully through the air. The peddling was a very swift motion, nothing to fast or slow, she was enjoying the brisk breeze taking her away. Mizu, the young girl, smiled brightly as it was her first day heading off to class. She'd just been accepted to be a professor at the university here in Niwa, and her heart was racing with excitement. Mizu had a problem getting a job, even though she had more degree's then anyone could really want to sit and count. It was the fact that she was born in the B.C. period, and when she tried to explain her situation...people only assumed she had escaped from a mental institution. The fact that she never aged, also was a problem, year after year, people would question why she never grew or looked any older. It didn't help that she had the most unnatural blue hair, and blue eyes that sparkled whenever someone looked into them. Even through the troubles of life, Mizu still was optimistic about the world. She saw the world grow, for the most part she was trapped for a couple thousand years, and knew that even if humanity didn't see it, they were evolving. Mizu wore her teaching uniform, which was a white button up top with black pants that had to be trimmed, because she was so short! Mizu was barely able to touch the peddles of her bike because she was so teeny tiny, barely standing over five feet. When someone would make fun of her height, she'd just giggle and nod. She knew how short she was, but even that said, she thought it was adorable how small she was. Attalu took over the height portion when she transformed. Oh yeah, right, transformed! Mizu has a secret; she's got a goddess living within her! This morning was full of reminiscing as she made her way down the boardwalk, she wasn't paying much attention in front of her. Well, given the fact she basically was a blue glow stick, how could anyone miss her? |

Probably not what she was expecting when the young man embraced Mizu, and began crying. Mizu at first thought maybe she had said something she wasn't, but was soon to find out she just brought up bad memories. As he began spilling his emotions all over her shirt, she wrapped her arms around his neck and held him to her. Mizu wasn't afraid to give comfort were comfort was needed, and it was obviously needed here. When he pushed away from her she let him go, she wasn't going to force him to hold on to her. But, then again, she wasn't going to let him just cry by himself. Moving around him, she got down onto her knee's and wrapped her arms around his head and held him close to her. Letting him sob, and talk about what happened. "Don't apologize." Mizu said finally, her hand moving under his chin she lifted him up to look at her. When Mizu is in a comforting state (per-say) her eyes will look like shooting stars flying around in them. Taking latch of his eyes she spoke with a softly, angelic tone. "Death happens Wade, I've seen a lot of it trust me. Everyone dies. Even I, one day, will leave this life." A dramatic gust of wind came and pushed aside Mizu's hair to the side. So dramatic! "What I know from the people that have passed, is that they want the people that are alive to live without regret. When someone dies, they don't have pain, sadness, or regret. They are at peace." She smiled sweetly. This is the most he would ever hear her talk outside of her classroom. "Wade I can't promise you that I can connect to them. They will have to want to very badly want to come back to this world even if it is for a second, but I can try for you, if you would like." |

She was so comforting; A real angel. She reminded him of his aunt when he was younger. They share the same caring aura. His mother was a bit cold, and domineering, but his aunt was as sweet as peaches. He grabbed on to her when she put his arms around him. He couldn’t say anything more, but when their eyes met again, Wade was mesmerized and he listened to her every word, every syllable. She must be speaking the truth…. But… He still felt immense guilt over what happened. If he had stayed… if he just… continued with his exams… “No…” He said shaking his head refusing to accept death. “Not around me, nobody dies around me. I won`t allow it.“ He said as he pushed himself to his feet and wiped his sleeve. “I can`t allow it… I`ll save everyone I can… I don`t want any to die if I can prevent it… nobody… “ He shook his head again. Wade isn`t perfect, but he hasn`t failed yet. He hasn`t found someone on the brink of death, and failed to re-animate them, and his hands have never failed yet. They won`t fail. They can`t fail. “I couldn`t save my aunt and uncle, I wasn`t there… How many have I failed to save? I…I… Want to talk to them. They came here looking for me. They must be willing to talk! I`ll give you anything for that favor!” He said as got on his knees and bowed. Even if he refused to admit that death was inevitable, he still hadn`t gone to visit their grave; he always panicked and went back to drowning himself in alcohol where he`d make a fool of himself, and wake up miserable, stopping his hands from healing his sorry state; convinced he deserves it. |

It was like he wasn't listening to her at first, as he push away and through everything she had to say back at her. Mizu did know what she was talking about, death was inevitable. Even for her, being an immortal, NO ONE lives forever. Even though she may live forever, that doesn't mean that fate wont one day come and rip her heart out. Killing her instantly. That was always a possibility from the get go. She was about to speak, when he continued to go on and on, but when he got down on his knees and began to beg for her to do what she offered. She felt the urges of Attalu starting to push forward. 'I think that is my calling, Mizu..' Mizu had given up once and let Attalu take control, but she wasn't going to let her push through this time. It wasn't the time. 'No, Attalu. This is the wrong time, and you promised.' 'I know, Mizu. I'm sorry.' Mizu leaned forward and picked him up and pulled him to his feet, and nodded her head. If he wasn't going to listen to her, maybe the one people that could get to him, she could contact. At least she would try her hardest. "You wont need to repay me, this is why I have my powers. Is to do whatever I can do, to help. You know?" Again, she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck and embraced him into a hug. Her little petite body, so frail, so innocent and happy, retreated back from him and nodded her head. "Once I get off from work tonight, we can go. Doing it at night is better then doing it during the day. Are you free tonight?" |

He shook his head again. “No, I do have to repay you, in whatever way… I`m already doing the War class room, favor free because you accepted to make it Vampire-friendly. I didn`t ask for anything for the bicycle fall because it was my fault…” Wade said as he squeezed. It felt like hugging and angel… What was she? Maybe it was because she had thousands of years of wisdom. He broke the hug, and let his hands on her shoulder. “Whenever I heal someone they insist they pay me back. I just ask for anything, whatever they can give. I`ll get you something! Hum…” He said as he thought to himself. He rubbed his chin. “Alright, I got it!” he said happily as he found the perfect little thank you; he wasn`t going to say now though, it was a surprise. “I`ll bring it tonight as payment! And I truly insist in bringing it” He said happily. “I am free tonight, yes! Hum, I`ll bring Miranda too. She deserves to be there. She`s my cousin, and… they were her parents…” he became silent again, but frowned and shook his head forcing himself to smile again. |

Although Mizu would normally not except any kind of gift given to her for such an act, she would accept his. He obviously seemed adamant about giving her something and she wouldn't reject his act of kindness. So, she nodded her head in agreement and set up a time that night that they should all meet. She really needed to get back to class, it was getting past the time that her students actually may start to leave. "Just remember Wade." She spoke before heading off. "Just be happy tonight, please. Spirits don't come back to see the sadness they left behind, but to see the love that the living still has for them." With those words, Mizu ran into the main campus building and disappeared from view. ---- END THREAD ---- |
