| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Pepper has powers that allow her to see the "color" of people's emotions. She can tell if a civilian passing by is either happy (yellow) or red (anger). Knowing city people tend to be more depressed, she made a trip downtown to see if the stories are true. But nothing prepared her for The Fudo Center. You see, on the internet, the area was described as "Similar (if not better) to New York City's Madison Square Garden, Niwa's Fudo Center is often the main stage for all the big events ranging from Operas to Basketball games, even hosting the latest pop artist coming to town. Even the circus holds its shows in this center!" But upon arrival, she saw the exterior of the center was the color of blue, which meant sadness. And green. And red. And brown. The Fudo Center was all these colors because it was trashed. In reality, it hadn't been used in awhile and so it seemed a little neglected. Although Pepper's power related to people, she was willing to cheer up anything: people, places, animals, and even inanimate objects. And this place needed some cheering up. Thankfully, she was dressed in khaki shorts that cut off mid-thigh -- she was very optimistic about the weather even though it was October -- a flannel, button-up, short-sleeved shirt; and sporting a blue folded-bandana across her short pink hair. (Hipster is in fashion nowadays.) She started picking up stray food-wrapping paper and bottles around the center. |

Pepper wasn't sure what the sudden change in the woman's color was. It was as if the rainbow of emotion struck her because within seconds her emotions ranged from happy to sad to anger to confusion. All these colors were flashing before Pepper, even making her unsure what kind of a positive affect she had on this lady. Well, at least some of the emotions were happy -- that's something to be pleased with, especially this was the first time she was able to publicly perform it. All that practice in the mirror certainly helped a lot! But the woman looked all over the Fudo Center, expecting camera crews or Ashton Kutcher to come out to tell her it was a joke. They won't: this is real. She turned around and started walking off mumbling. Pepper's face fell. Why was she going away? Was her cheer bad? Was she off-key? Was she not enthusiastic enough? Her mom always told her she can't be too enthusiastic. She hesitated, only because she was in the middle of cleaning the Fudo Center and didn't want to just drop her bag of trash, undoing all the work she had accomplished. But she had to know! "Wait, stop!" she cried, dropping the trash and running after the lady. Pepper managed to grab her garment to get her attention. "What's wrong? Was I bad?" |

Anael heard the sound of the girl coming after her, and it irritated her to no end. As she got closer to her, Anael turned her body and darted forward, her hand gripping around the girls neck. She lifted Pepper just slightly off the ground and brought her down to the ground, so she would lay on her back. Anael did all of that with little to no effort, she wasn't in the profession to hurt a child, but she wasn't one to let her ignorance cloud her judgement. Bringing her face down close to Peppers, Anael spoke. "The Yakuza aren't some...high school football team, you little brat." She spat, her voice had turned cold and demonic, and she continued. "Your cheer was horrible. As a Yakuza member myself, you bring shame to me." Anael starred deep into the girls eyes and released her neck. Grabbing her by the shirt she pulled her up to her feet. Lifting her hand up, Anael flicked the girl on the forehead. Sending about ten pounds of pressure surging through her head. "I'm not angry, this is just how I am, girl." Her voice was beginning to go back to normal at that time, god, that girl made Anael's blood boil. Her eyes rolled as she watched at the girls reaction. It would surprise her if the girl didn't run away from her. |

Pepper was not prepared for the woman to grab her neck and lay her down on the ground. Pepper's face was in shock and eyes wide, taken aback by the sudden violent motion although it didn't really hurt her. The woman's words cut through her, denigrating her cheer and her efforts. If there's one thing that was apparent -- and it didn't take her ability to come to this conclusion: this lady was not a happy lady. And it wasn't the resistance that cut deep into her. By now, she was used to people shoving her aside or ignoring her. With all her attempts at cheerleading, few really batted an eye toward her and thanked her. Her attitude never allowed her, though, to deter. She knew she was good! And no one could tell her otherwise! But this lady's approach was much more vicious, using force and the most hurtful words to make sure no positive attitude or message could be interpreted from her spiel. (Even her font looked scary.) Tears began to well up after she was put on her feet and the lady flicked her forehead with ten pounds of pressure. For one, her feelings were hurt and the shock finally wore off into sadness. Never had anyone so eloquently cut her down. Secondly, getting flicked in the face really hurts and is extremely rude! "Can't you just give me a chance?" she welped, wiping her runny nose. "And why did you flick my face? It hurts!" She emphasized the last word by stomping on the ground. Stomping on the ground means serious business. |

Well that was an unexpected turn of events. Anael really wasn't expecting Pepper to start crying, she made sure not to hurt her physically. Hurting a child physically wasn't something that Anael enjoyed doing, and by the looks of it, she must have been extremely frail. Anael lifted her hand to her head and began shaking it. "Are you fucking kidding me?" she spat. Moving forward towards Pepper she clinched her fist. God, she wanted to give this child something to cry about. The fact that she didn't run away from her, and stood her ground, made Anael have some since of pride for the girl. But the tears tore that feeling away from her, it confirmed her statement of her being weak, and Anael was going to make sure that she had something to cry about. "See? This is what I mean. How can you call yourself a Yakuza member when you cry over simple words?" She slightly rose her voice. She dropped her hands and put them against the girls shoulders and squeezed a bit. "You bring shame to the Yakuza clan by crying. If you want, I'll give you so--" "Hey, you put her down!!" A very young girly voice could be heard screaming from within the Fudo Center. A girl, very short, with long light sky blue hair exited the building. She wore black pants with a white button up that was tucked in. "What do you think that you are doing? She is just a kid." Anael laughed and released the girl and shoved her to the side. "Or what?" Anael had moved passed starting fights, but the girl approaching her gave Anael a bit of a edgy attitude. "You going to ... what, wrap your tiny little hands around my neck?" No one knew exactly what Anael was capable, and she wasn't afraid to show this blue haired bimbo either. "I've already called security, if you want me to take care of you I can." Her eyes began to glow a bright shade of purple, and watched as the red head would react. Anael spat and turned back towards Pepper. "You remember that the Yakuza are strong. You are weak." With that, Anael turned her back and began running away from the two of them, heading off towards the downtown blood bank~ [Exit Anael] The blue haired girl rushed towards the girl that had tears running down her eyes, her arms wrapped around the girl and patted her back. "Are you alright? Did she hurt you? What happened?" The woman tried to calm the girl down, her voice was calming down. Soothing to the ears. There was a small ring to her voice as well, like it was an echoing bliss. |

Thankfully, a blue-haired woman came to Pepper's rescue. Although the mean lady didn't make Pepper back down, Pepper wasn't sure how outmatched she was. The mean lady was older and, judging from her appearance and personality, quite skilled in doing bad things without any remorse. Plus, Pepper would never refuse help. Refusing help, her mother once told her, is prideful. If someone thinks you need help, you probably need it. And the blue-haired woman certainly helped turn the lady away, calling security on her behalf. Pepper stuck her tongue out and "pfffft!" in the mean lady's direction as she walked off. "We'll see about that!" she yelled back, countering the mean lady's remark of her weakness. No one could ever call her weak. The blue-haired woman wrapped her arms around Pepper to console her. Pepper, a strong advocate of hugs, returned it, hugging the lady tightly. This lady was much nicer. Even her voice was soft and soothing, much more pleasant than the harsh tones of the mean lady. "Thanks," she said. She shook her head as the woman asked what happened and whether she was hurt. "No, I'm fine. Just startled. I was cheering and cleaning up and she was just very mean for no reason whatsoever. Said I was useless and stupid." A thought suddenly struck her as the strands of the woman's blue-hair brushed up against her nose. She sniggered a little and grinned as she let go. "Has anyone told you you smell really good? Because you do! What shampoo do you use?" |

Mizu couldn't help but smile at the girl, she was so excited and happy, how could someone treat her so badly? If she saw that girl again, Attalu would have to teach her one hell of a lesson. She released the young girl and looked at her with a very large smile. The girl was...so freaking adorable that Mizu couldn't handle it. She gripped her again in her little arms and hugged her once more before letting her go for good and giggled before she spoke. "I use a special herb everyday that I bath in, it also helps the skin too, here." She Mizu put her hand against the girls arm and rubbed it slightly. It would feel so smooth, like a babies bottom! "Its a mix between roses and tulips. There is a special ingredient that is...a secret." She winked and giggled. "My name is Mizuiro Aoi Tsugumi, but you can call me Mizu for short. What can I call you?" She extended her hand out to the girl and bowed her head down. "So you were picking up trash out here...all by yourself?" She looked around at how messy the place was. It was a wreck for sure, and this girl, by herself was picking up the trash. KAWAII!!!!!! Mizu almost jumped into the air with how cute that was. Her eyes began to sparkle as she looked at the girl. Mizu was over two thousand years old, you'd think she would have seen everything by now. The sight of a young girl, doing something so unselfish like pick up trash, was a sight for sore eyes. "Please, allow me to help you pick up some of the trash." Mizu offered her serves, hoping that the girl would let her. |

"Ooooh," Pepper oogled at her mix of ingredients, especially when Mizu brushed her skin against Pepper's. Pepper had never felt skin so smooth and silky! Just like Pepper's baby cousin's butt! "Awww, I need to get that for myself. Your skin is so softttt! I'm jealous!" She couldn't stop rubbing Mizu's arm: it was addicting. The more she rubbed, the wider her grin got. Skin this soft should be illegal! And she was so fixated with Mizu's skin that Pepper almost neglected Mizu's introduction. "Oh! Pleased to meet you Ms. Tsugami," she said, breaking her trance. "I'm Pepper Ryan! Cheerleader extraordinaire!" Instead of bowing to show respect to her elders, she hugged her again tightly. Her parents scolded her all her life for this bad habit, but rarely were her hugs ever criticized. She was a snuggly person by design. "You're nice. I like you." And you know what made this lady so much better? She loved Pepper's selfless act of picking up trash around the Fudo Center! See? Of course it was a good idea! Pepper couldn't contain her excitement when Mizu, on top of the compliments, volunteered to help her finish the job. Hot cha! "Yes! Yes! Yes! Let's do it!" she cheered, holding up a piece sign. And so they did it. Although they both did a good deed today, the real highlight was the karma that came with it: Pepper made a new friend. That's all that matters. [End thread] |
