  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

'Hey! This is Yui Iwasawa.
We met at the cafe` the other day.
I wanted to see if you wanted that lesson?
Yes? Awesome.
Meet me at the Central Public Library.
Bye~'

Yui sat in a corner table on the third level of the library, her legs were crossed and she had a book in her hand that read "Learning a new Language--" She was very good at learning a new language herself, but wasn't to good at teaching it. She wasn't sure exactly how to start or what to do, so she had been reading up the best way to teach a language to someone. It would come in handy later down the road, so it wasn't a total loss of her time. She had called Void, a man she had met at the cafe` the other day and asked him if he wanted to take her up on the lesson. He agreed to meet her; and she got extremely excited. Normally it was the guy that called the girl, but in a way she didn't care. The role system she felt was a bit silly, especially when it came to what a guy should do, and what a girl was meant to do. Pssh; Yui was not the typical woman, she asserted herself.

Yui looked really done up this time, her hair was pulled back in a half up half down style, the hair that was out of the bun was curled into spiral locks. Her outfit was cute ta boot too; she wore a white and blue dress, she wore white flats on her feet and had small diamond earrings in. Man she was trying hard to impress him, or maybe she just wanted to look cute...for him!

"Не будьте дурак, только оставайтесь спокойными.." She spoke out, it was very fluent the way she spoke Russian, it was very pretty coming out of her mouth. The language was meant to sound a little rough around the edges, but her tone made it sound like a very gentle and calm sounding one. Lifting her head up from the book, she looked around to see if she could spot Void.

Letting out a small yawn as he walked, Void stepped into the library and stretched. He had been in the middle of a nap when she had called him, so he had had to rush to get ready. He wasn't quite expecting her to call him, as most girls seemed to believe that the guy should do most of the arranging, if not all. But it was a pleasant surprise, and Void found it cool that she was willing to break such normal expectations. She had a mind of her own, and Void respected that.

He hadn't gotten too dressed up, after all, it was just a trip to he library, right? But he was meeting with Yui, so he didn't just randomly throw on clothes, either. He wore a t-shirt under a white button-up one with a design on the right breast. The shirt was untucked and free from the blue jeans he wore, and as he walked the shirt would move to reveal the white belt he wore underneath. His hair was let down as usual, albeit more dry this time around as he had actually gotten enough time to fully dry it.

He looked around the place to see if he cold find her and after a moment of searching, he saw her...she was looking straight at him. Void smiled and waved, and began to walk in her direction. As he did so, he took in her appearance. She looked...really really hot, especially with her hair like that. It made him wonder if he should have maybe dressed a little better for the occasion...

Taking a seat across from her, his eyes glanced over her one more time.
"I...wow. You look stunning today, Yui." Void adjusted himself in his chair so that he was comfortable. He smiled kindly to her and his eyes sparkled with excitement. "Thanks for calling me out here. It's not everyday that you get summoned by a lady such as yourself. Tis a rare occurrence indeed." He emphasized his British accent on the last two sentences as he teased her. He knew they were here to learn a language, but hopefully they would also have fun.

Yui chuckled, maybe she had got a bit to dressed up, hopefully he didn't feel to under dressed. As he sat down across from her he spoke and it cleared any doubt she had. Her cheeks flushed with a bright pink color and she smiled sweetly. "T-Thank you, Void. You look dashing yourself. You look very good.." She really did enjoy a man that looked good in an untucked button up and jeans; her face couldn't hide how she felt either. He continued to speak and she nodded her head, hearing his accent made her heart skip a beat. She tried to compose herself, brushing her dress down and adjusting herself in her seat she responded.

"Not a problem. I hope I didn't interrupt anything important you were doing." Her bright smile returning to her face. "I had some free time and thought it would be a good time to give you some lessons in a new language." Lifting the book up she giggled. "I'm brushing up how to teach a language."

Yui had learned Russian from her Sargent, as she would explain to him. He was very fluent in it, and knew more then just that. He had an arsenal of known languages, from Arabic to English, to Russian and Japanese and even German. She wanted to learn German, but unfortunately didn't the opportunity. He was shipped off to a special tactical location, where he would lead a group of recruits into a training exercise, one that was supposed to be used to take out a high priority target. Something went wrong and he was injured and honorably discharged. She never saw him after that.

"So, you mentioned you were good at learning a new language yeah? I know a few myself. I know Japanese, English, Russian, Arabic and I am learning Spanish right now." She couldn't help but smile, she really did enjoy the art of speech. "Are there any questions you have before we get started?"

He smiled in thanks to her compliment, noticing that his made her blush. Well, at least she liked the way he was dressed and hadn't expected him to be too formal. He didn't really like formal wear; it restricted his movement and was usually really hot. In casuals, he felt like should a combat situation arise, he could have complete range of movement. Also not having to worry about ruining his clothing was a bonus.

"Nah, I was just taking a nap. I had a free afternoon, so this is better than what I had planned...which was nothing." He chuckled softly. Besides, he would have to be an idiot to choose napping over a girl like Yui. Why dream about someone when you can actually be with them? "Learning a new language is always a useful skill. And don't worry, I'm sure you'll make a good teacher." He leaned over the table, wearing an expression much like a cunning fox. "I'll try to be a good student and earn a golden star." His words were confident as he spoke. After waiting a moment, he leaned back and rested his arms behind his head.

"That's quite the language repertoire you have. It seems like I am learning from quite the linguist." He gave her a small courteous bow. Learning five languages wasn't that easy of a feat. "None to ask. Shall we begin?"

Yui was brought back to the other day at the cafe` when he leaned forward over the table. Her face turned away from him for a second, and cleared her throat. Looking back with her eyes, her head still facing away, she giggled. "I think you'll do just fine." She closed the book in front of her and nodded her head. Yui loved the learn new languages; not so much for other things though. Criminal Justice was another subject that she didn't mind learning new things about. It was her loyalty to the law that drove that knowledge, but that wasn't important right now, on to Void.

She smiled and began. "The best way to start leaning is..actually, hold on." She grabbed her back and got up and sat beside him, she had a book that she wanted to share with him as well. So that it was easier for him to understand it. Plus, she didn't mind getting close to him at all. Her shoulder brushed against his, and she chuckled.

"Sorry, but I think it'll be easier for you to see what I'm talking about. Yeah?" Her hand brought over her hair to the side and she leaned her head to the side. "Let's start with something simple. Introducing yourself.

Void watched as she got up and moved next to him. A questioning expression crossed his face as she sat next to him. He was a bit surprised that she was willing to sit so close to him, but if she felt comfortable like this, he wasn't going to complain. When he felt her shoulder brush his, he smiled as he felt small tingles shock wave to his stomach.

He looked at the book and listened to her talk. It was different for him, however. As his eyes searched the page and her voice flowed into his ears, his mind broke down each syllable and sound as it attached the foreign words with the ones he knew. It analyzed the sounds and made the connection between the noises and the way he would have to make them with his own voice. All this happened in the fraction of a second after she stopped talking.

"Меня зовут Void Regnoir." He said it almost flawlessly, just as Yui had. Turning to her he smiled. "How was that?"

Yui smiled seeing no complaint about her sitting beside him. A she, not literally, watched the wheels turn in Voids head she smiled. He really was a cutie pie. As he spoke out exactly what she did, she smiled and nodded her head. "Aye! Perfect!" She spoke in English, turning to the book she turned the page.

"Let's go over some basic grammar stuff." Leaning a new language was starting from the basics, and building from the ground up. Luckily Yui knew the easiest language naturally, which was English. Apparently it is the hardest language to learn, and people thought Russian was hard. Psh.

Yui crossed her long legs over the top of each other and leaned a bit over the tap. Her elbow resting against it, and her head leaning into the palm of her hand as she explained the importance of making sure the language, when spoken, sounded a bit rough around the edges. Yui didn't do a very good job of that, her voice was to high pitched for her to make it sound fluent. On the other hand, Void had the perfect tone for it.

"Alright, so say 'It's good to meet you.'" It wasn't all about hearing someone say it, he needed to be able to read it. She pointed down at the book, her freshly painted nails pointing at the line that said 'its good to meet you' in Russian.

Inside, Yui was glowing something bright! She was having so much fun with Void. Such a dork~

He beamed at her as she complimented his attempt. Truth be told, it wasn't much of a surprise that he was able to do it with slight ease. He always learned things quickly. He would just have to tone it down a bit so it wouldn't seem like he was lying about not knowing Russian. Still, so far Yui was doing an excellent job of teaching.

They went over the grammar and pronunciation rules in the book. It seemed Russian was mean to sound a little harsh, similar to German in a way. As Yui confirmed this as well, Void smiled.
"It's supposed to sound rough, but when you speak it, it sounds really cute. Your voice adds a certain beauty to it." It may have seemed like he was randomly trying to butter her up, but he sincerely meant it. She had a voice that made him enjoy listen whenever she spoke.

After going over the grammar a bit more, she threw him a curveball. It wasn't a bad one, she just wanted to make sure he understood the rules of the language on his own. Void studied the book for a second, as he processed the words and pieced together the phrase.

"Приятно познакомиться? Is that right?"

Yui couldn't help but blush, and hard, when he complimented how she sounded when she spoke Russian. It was true, her voice was way to low to ever extract the true essence of the language. Though, she was glad that he thought it was cute. She nudged him with her shoulder and she spoke. "Gosh, you are way to sweet Void..."

Once he spoke out the statement she nodded her head vigorously, he was doing great. Like he already knew the language. He wasn't lying when he said he was quick to learn. Nodding her head, she was about to say something else when she moved a bit. Her leg brushed up against his and her dress came up slightly. Exposing her very well toned tight. She flustered and pulled down her dress and began apologizing.

The seats they were on were pretty small, and her flailing caused her to scoot back, and slide right off the edge of it. Her bum hit the ground and made a light 'plop' sound.

"Oye vay~" she was blushing as she looked up at Void, her hands down on the ground and her legs pressed together. Ohhhh how embarrassing. Yui's face was bright, bright red.

"Me? Sweet?" He scratched the back of his neck. "Thanks, i was just pointing out the truth." It seemed like everything was going good. Void was learning quickly and Yui didn't seem to mind his swift learning. He was having a lot of fun. He wished he would have Yui a while ago. If he could have learned the other languages from her, it would have been a lot funner for him.

Feeling something brush against his leg, he looked down just in time to see her thigh. As soon as it registered, he turned his vision back to the book, trying to mind his manners. Although he had to admit, she did have some sexy thighs...

He shook his head to clear his thoughts. But then Yui, apologizing the whole time, fell off her chair and to the floor. Void tried to catcher before she hit the ground, she was just out of his reach. He looked at her as she looked at him. For a moment, nothing happened, save for a smile that began to spread across the man's face. He laughed lightly and extended his hand to her.

As he spoke in English, good natured humor could be heard through his British accent.
"You alright there, dove? T'was quite the spill... Although I have to admit, you are so adorable when you are embarrassed."
