Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

November 2nd, 2012

Anael stumbled through the door of her apartment, barely being able to slide the key into the hole, and leaned against the wall. The long hallway that led to the living room, seemed to run forever. She was beginning to black out, and didn't know who to call. The Yakuza didn't have a healer, they may have had doctors that were part time members of the Yakuza, but she didn't know who to call for that. Moving onward she grasped against the wall as she made it to the kitchen where she pulled out random bottles of pills and spread them across the table. Moving some aside and popping a few into her mouth she slipped and barely caught herself before falling. She'd walked all the way home, and didn't realize that she hadn't wrapped the back correctly. Letting it bleed out, badly. Not only that but when she jumped out of the helicopter, and Ben carried her down, it tore even more. Even though it was the opposite arm he carried her down with, the skin and muscles were being stretched. Her body seemed to start giving in as she made her way to the bathroom.

Falling before the door she moved her arm up and opened the door handle. Blood was all over the place and she needed to get cleaned up. Her arm barely managing to turn the hot water on she turned and leaned against the old vintage style bathtub. The Yakuza had got this apartment for her, because of her job title, she was lucky enough to have such a nice place. Though, she doubted they would appreciate the blood stains that were beginning to form on the hardwood floor. Anael hoped they'd come off, hah, even as she lay bleeding out, all she cared about was the floor. Idiot girl.

As the tub filled up Anael slowly removed each piece of clothing, taking gentle heed when removing her bra away from the opened wound. The pain she suffered was nothing more then a reminder of her time spent on the island. Such a painful reminder. Laying down in the hot water she hissed as the water seeped into her open wound. Letting out a scream, she wrapped her hands around her thigh and squeezed, her nails pressing so hard they broke through the skin. Blood filled the bathtub, and Anael leaned back into it. Not caring.

She had blacked out for a minute, well actually longer, the water had actually gotten cold. Trying to move her arm she leaned up, but was a vale attempt. Leaning her body forward through the pain she, and got up and moved to the shower were she rinsed her blood soaked body off. Her mere 'attempt' to wash her hair failed, so she gave in and got out. Anael spent the next half hour bandaging and cleaning up the wound as best she could. The front was a piece of cake, but the back was a different story. It took Anael some maneuvering and painful screeching to finally get the back semi clean. Taking a needle to it was the hardest part. Anael had survival skills that kept her alive for over five years, if she couldn't sow herself up, she'd be a lost cause to herself.

After everything was said and done, Anael stood up and got dressed, sort of. Putting on a white tank top and some panties, and throwing a red silk kimono robe on that barely covered down her knee's, she moved towards the living room. She wasn't sure why but she still felt light headed, and moved towards her couch. She was exhausted, and didn't want to move her body anymore. Falling down onto the couch, she let her right arm lay off the couch and her other arm, the injured shoulder side, resting across her chest. The robe stay open as her eyes began to drift off. To anyone seeing her she'd appear dead, with how lifeless her body was moving...

She fell into a blackout state. Which probably wasn't good in her situation..

Anael listened intently as he spoke to her. Her head leaning back against the wall, and she nodded. She literally hadn't been with the Yakuza very long, all she knew was she needed to take care of Shuichi Tsugumi, that was her job. It was funny, she had actually not met any of the other members, besides the high upper class members. Like the leaders, from the meeting yesterday. Laughing, she turned her head to him and raised an eyebrow. It was pretty hilarious, he would be part of the gang that was rivaled against her own. What would happen if Mr. Tsugumi found out about what they had done. An the fact that they were about to be seen in public eating breakfast together. She pulled at her hair a bit, tugging it and spinning it into a bun; then letting it fall down her shoulder.

"I don't give a shit about anything, you should know that by now." He would see the seriousness in her face, but she smirked quickly. Triad or Yakuza, Hotel what the fuck ever, she was there to do one job, and one job only. That was to do whatever Mr. Tsugumi needed her to do. To an extent of course. Anael turned to face him as the numbers on the elevator hit level two. "It makes this.." She pointed to him then her. "Much more dangerous." The thought of the Triad coming after her, or even the Yakuza coming after her gave her a rush. She loved it.

The door swung open and she stepped out, still looking at Ben, then turned quickly and began walking towards the door. The restaurant was right next to the apartment, and she knew exactly where to go.

As they arrived she told the person at the front for two and had them sat into a booth. Anael swung her legs in and crossed them; looking up at Ben to see where he'd sit. No matter were he sat, she already knew what she wanted so she ordered a water and looked at Ben; hoping he'd start the conversation.

Anael was no good with talking. It was best for her to stay quiet until someone started the conversation. Or started a fight, either way.

You give a shit about me….

He thought to himself with a smirk as he recalled prior to last night. Their escape, their embrace; it was so beautiful. It was a shame he couldn’t enjoy it, but at least it was a nice memory to go back to. He couldn’t help but chuckle again at her comment. Ben was already ready to give it his all for her. He wasn’t scared at all of what could possibly be the worst case scenario. His heart was already set; and he was such a stubborn lad.

« Dangerous? Don`t tell me you’re scared » He said teasingly. “Because I sure as hell ain`t, and I would hate to waste my time with a coward, not matter how delicious she tasted” He said with a grin, locking his eyes with hers. He was feeling the rush too. He could already picture it; both gangs coming after them in full force, as they fight back taking them down one-by-one, and finally making love on top of the mountain of bodies. Ben couldn’t really contain his joy. His face was glowing, a large grin plastered on his face. Ben followed her, and he sat in the booth facing her. He ordered a cup of water also, and their eyes locked. God… if he had a ring; he`d propose then and there. She`d probably beat him with it, and not give an answer, but never remove it.

“So you busy tonight? Think you could handle an encore? How `bout we trash my place instead?” He said as he his foot started caressing her leg. Other than his cloak, he was naked as can be. It was turning him on a bit, though, he doubted he could perform even if he wanted to, they really went wild last night.

Anael leaned back in the booth, her eyes fixated on Ben and what he was doing. This was interesting, and way to new to Anael to take in all at once. She'd never gone out with a guy, Sephiroth and her barely ever saw each other; and when they did it was just playing with his pet ferret thing. Wow, she couldn't even remember the little guys name. He was amazing. Shaking her head, trying not to think about it, she felt his foot brushing up against her leg. With a glare and a huff, she trapped his leg between her foot and the bench, and shook her head. He was different, and he made her feet a bit strange whenever she was in his presence, but that wouldn't change much for Anael. What had happened last night was fun, and it would be something she'd do on a regular bases, but this. Her eyes glanced around the restaurant, seeing all the people sitting and conversing. The couples that sat across from each other, and the friends laughing. This was not her scene.

She was meant to be a loner, from the day she was born, it was her destiny. Anael was alright with that, she wasn't meant to be tied down. If she wanted to go off and fight someone, and it end in a crazy night like it had last night, she would do it without having a second thought.

'Though..' Her eyes made there way back to Ben as he spoke to her, about another round that night. Anael's elbows rested onto the table, and she rested her head in her palms. She felt something about this guy, and she hated it. It made her feel all weird inside, and it bothered her to no end. The feeling that her body got whenever he spoke so rude to her, his teasing, his threats and evil words. They would hurt any regular person, and any woman would run away from him. Anael, would never run from him. He didn't scare her, and she knew she could kill him if need be.

She wouldn't.

"Sure. If you can handle it."
Rolling her head around on her shoulders she leaned back, putting both her arms back and sighing heavily. "But, I do have some things to attend to today, so it'll have to wait till later." God she was horrible at having a conversation, hopefully he'd bring up something to talk about. The awkward feeling of not coming up with the conversation starter, was over bearing for Anael.

Ben winced a bit as she got his foot pinned. He was failing at getting himself free, but at least he had a decent poker face. Ben was a scary person when he was serious. He showed her a glimpse and he did just murder three Yakuza`s and treated it like a typical Tuesday, although, his emotion was mainly apathy. He didn`t really care about the human life. He didn`t really get pleasure out of doing it; he just did it: the end to a means. So, because of his allegiance to the Triads; he wasn’t going to kill them, but he had no such allegiance to the other factions. As long as there was something to gain, and it was the less annoying path; then yeah, he`d kill no hesitation. A slash to the throat, and let them die.

“Pfft, handle it? You know it.” He said with a wink. Oh yes, his body was going to be ready for tonight. He was going to do her every night, until his body fails; or she ends up killing him. Heh, though it wasn`t as one-sided. Ben defended himself brilliantly last night. It would be fun to see how would crack first. He also sucked at the conversation thing. He liked to talk, but it was mostly, about… regular stuff. Hmm…

“I know that feeling” He sighed at her last comment. Ben, as a Triad, did a lot of odd jobs for Pig Ears; the old bastard probably had a huge list for Ben to get through before the end of the day. Really, being driven like a machine… Heh… Yup, hard to have a conversation; he knew she was trying, and they were both inexperienced. “So, here`s what I don`t get. Why did you accept to come here t Niwa? The heir must`ve been an impressive offer” Ben asked.

Anael saw his face turn as she pinned his leg, and she laughed. Keeping it pinned for a few seconds before she released, she crossed her legs and tapped her foot. She listened to him as the waiter came with their drinks and sat them down. The waiter began to talk and Anael turned her head to him and ordered her food."I'll take two over easy eggs over white rice." After the waiter would take Ben's order he'd leave and Anael would bring her attention back to Ben, she nodded her head. As he finished his question, she took a deep breath in and pondered. Her expression on her face was very calm, no angry stern face, just, calm.

"I didn't have anywhere else to go." She said plain and simple. Once she got off the island, she went to Hyakuji to find the one person she actually 'loved' and to find out he was gone, basically was the last stop for her. She couldn't stay in Hyakuji, for more then just one reason. "The offer was fine, but he was more drawn to the fact that I'd do just about anything to do my job." Moving her hand up to her shoulder she began rubbing it and letting out a low grunt. "Ahh~ just a job. I bartend too, but I do that for fun. Not for the money." Leaning her head to the side she continued to rub against her shoulder blade.

She chuckled, and put her hand down again to the table and picked up her water, and brought it to her lips and took a sip. She licked her lips and grinned. "I don't care for money honestly. It doesn't do anything for me." Hense why she didn't take the money he threw at her in the alley way.

She had to think of something to ask him. Him asking all the questions would lead back up to her scars and stupid shit like that and Anael wasn't going to have that. She grabbed her long thick hair and pulled it to the side, and leaned a bit as she spoke. "Ben Tai, why would you risk being anywhere near me? You knew from the beginning I was a Yakuza member. So it blows my mind, as to why a Triad member would risk such a..." She tried to think of the best word for the statement. "Such a penalty for your actions?"

For all Anael knew, all of what happened last night was a ploy, a way of making her vulnerable so he could kill her when she was least expecting it. Either he knew she was sleeping with one eye open last night; or he had passed out himself. What little sleep they got, of course. He was a sneaky one, this Ben guy.

“I`ll take the shanghai noodles, bro” He said so in Cantonese to his Chinese brother. The waiter just looked at him.

“Oy, shanghai noodle?” Ben asked in Mandarin. Again, an empty stare. Ben sighed. “Shanghai noodles, man, gawd!” He said in Japanese as the waiter finally understood and wrote it down. Shanghai noodles was just the name of noodles mixed with shrimp, chicken and some beef; very filling, very delicious, and cheap. Granted, it was no breakfast food, but gawd was Ben hungry.

Ben turned back to her as she spoke. No where to go? That was like Ben when he arrived in Niwa. He ran away from home three years ago. He flew to the closest city he could find, and he ended up here, in the Chinatown. He did some odd jobs for Chinese restaurants. They didn`t care about your name, your past or anything as long as you did what you were told, you got paid. Ben was a fast worker. He got the attention of several restaurant managers, and eventually was found and took in by Pig Ears. That`s when his little work hell started. Pig Ear would tell him to work, and he`d obey. The work was hard, and the pay was crummy, but it was better than doing nothing, and he could afford to feed and clothe himself. He listened to her words.

The idea of working for fun wasn’t too forging for him. He was trying to be more active in the triad, because he was sick and tire of cleaning windows. Killing, stealing drugs was much easier than do it the legit way. The pay was bigger too, which was a welcome bonus. He spends most of his money on clothes, and fancy costumes. He still lives in the same crummy apartment, but his closet was filled with a variety of clothes and costumes. He enjoyed the money, mainly, for the power it had on others.

Ben smirked at her question. “Because you`re worth it” He said simply. Probably not the answer she was expecting. He really did risk his live for her, because he was infatuated by how strong, and no-nonsense she was… She then went ahead and showed a softer side. “Plus, if I remember right, YOU’RE the one that called ME” He said with a teasing grin. He leaned forward, and kissed her lightly on the lips. He then whispered. “Why did you call me?” He kind of knew the answer already. He was just being cruel to tease her.

Anael was not expecting his answer, that was a fact. What she wasn't expect was him coming across the table and quickly planting one on her lips, she quickly recoiled, and lifted up her hand and smacked him hard across the face. The echo of the hit went throughout the restaurant, people turned and gasped. Some of them began to whisper, most of the them just starred. Anael's voice raised at everyone. "Stop being so damn nosy!" She bare her teeth, and her anger rose; people got the point and turned away from them. Putting her hand to her lips she glared at Ben. Anael hated affection, and he was physically show that to not only her but to other people. Her blood boiled, when she would kiss Sephiroth, they'd be somewhere that no one could see them. When she kissed Ben, BEHIND doors, she didn't care. It was a lust thing, what he just did was more for affection, and it made her sick.

"Don't ever do that." 'At least not in public..' she thought putting her hand into her lap and sitting back. Her eyes squinted at him as he continued to glare.

"I called you to kick your ass, of course."
She crossed her arms under her chest, sort of lifting them, while she had them laying there. Why else would she have called him? Honestly...she wasn't expecting what happened last night to happen. Not that she regretted it. "So wipe that smirk off your face, you look stupid." Now it was time to address what he had said prior to him planting a public display of affection right on her lips.

"You are a fool if you think that I am worth dying for."
Anael lifted her butt up a bit, her legs were beginning to stick to the plastic seats. Why'd she wear shorts today? It wasn't even that hot outside. "Because I doubt that if the Triad finds you talking to a Yakuza member, they are just going to let it happen. You know, you may spill some deep dark secrets to me. And hey..." She lifted her arms up and stretched, exposing her stomach before putting her arms down. "I may bring that back to the Yakuza to use it against the Triad..." She was teasing him; the only reason she'd ever go and tell the Yakuza anything was...well, actually they couldn't do anything to her for her to spill any information. Unless it truly benefited her. Which she wasn't into money, or power, so it would have to be something damn good.

It all happened in slow motion. She recoiled and responded with an open hand. He couldn’t help but blush. Did he know this was going to happen? Maybe subconsciously, he did. The hand hit his face, and he was sent flying to the end of the booth, where his head hit the wall, and he floated back in front of her. She was so strong, so angry… So sexy. The stupid grin only seemed to become wider after the hit. Ben didn`t really care about public displays of affection, although… the fact that she was so against them, nearly… made him like them. He couldn’t help but smile back sweetly as she glared at him; he really didn`t look like someone that had just been slapped, except for the hand mark on his cheek.

“Aye, and kick my ass you did, among other things” He replied with a smile. He looked as she lifted her breasts. If it wasn’t for the table, he`d just bury his face in them again, like being smothered by two angelic clouds. He shook his head as he god rid of the smirk, and leaned back on his chair, stretching his arms as she spoke about the Triads. If only she knew….

“Oh Honey, It`s like… you’re reading my mind” Ben said happily. “I was just thinking the same thing about you. You`re more likely to get told then I. I`m just a lowly peon.” He said with devious eyes. “I have no authority whatsoever; they all think I’m a fool. It`s awesome!” He said happily. He took his glass of water, and sipped off it: he didn’t have a glass of water. He took a sip of out of hers. “While you, on the other hand, have direct access to one of the heirs. What would they think if they saw you with a Triad? But really. We both don`t give a shit about them.” He chuckled as he set the glass down, and back in front of her.

“So tell me what you want, Anael.”
He asked, no… his tone was similar to the tone he had last night; his eyes were serious, piercing right through hers as he seemed to order her to tell him what she wanted. It was odd. He`d stare at her until she spoke, the devious smile still on his face.

Anael was curious as to why Ben grabbed her drink, and then it hit her (T_______T) Anael's face became slanted, an irritated look crossed her face. As he spoke the face stuck there, and it didn't change, even AFTER he put her water back down in front of her. Her arms tightened around her, plumping up her chest and her shoulders raised. 'W-who does that...' her eye twitched. Even as he spoke, it was hard for her to really pay attention to what he was saying. All she could think was the fact he just took some of her water; without asking or giving the slightest thought of it. There was no hesitation in his action to take her drink. Then again, he was like that with everything, he didn't ask to kiss her, didn't ask to come into her home, didn't ask to fucking the living shit out of her last night. Just took it.

(T__T) "You are right I don't care.." She responded to him throwing the question back at her. The thing was, the Yakuza would never have to worry about her saying anything; she knew when to keep her mouth closed. Anael barely talked as it is, if they questioned her, they'd easily figure out that her lips were rather sealed when in any company. In the case of them finding out, and them actually going after her or Ben, she'd really not care. Anael honestly didn't care about anything; just herself. At least, that is what she tells herself.

The last question through her off balance, her face showing a confused and less irritation, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. 'Seph..' some people would think she was stupid for wanting what she did. Anael would give the world, she'd give her LIFE to have him back. He was why she was alive in the first place, or at least not a psychopath. He was why she was sane. Call her weak for it, but Anael knew she was not weak. She was strong. No one ever could tell her different.

She knew what he was implying, trying to be seductive as he was the night before. Anael also remembered the fact he was naked under that cloak. It made her chuckle, her arms laying down beside her and she leaned forward over the table; her chest pressing against it. "What do you think I want, Benny boy?" Her voice was low.

Ben was that kind of man. He just took what he wanted. He wanted her. It`s why he was so brazen and pushy with her. He couldn’t let such a delectable demon get away from his grasp. She was everything he was looking for in a woman, and yet she still managed to surprise him. She didn`t care for PDA? He only did so to annoy her and get a violent reaction out of her. Didn`t care about money? More for him then. He needed to find out what she`d like though… to pay her back. He could do it with his body, thank her all night long, or he could get her the one thing she always wanted.

Everyone had something they wanted; that they kill for, that they`d sacrifice every being for… Ben wanted Anael. He got her, as far as he was concerned. He`d enjoy every moment he could with her. Their lifestyles meant they weren’t going to live long lives. He made peace with that fact. He even taunted it. He wanted to live dangerously, with her. She mentioned she wasn’t worth dying for… Tsk… He didn’t expect for her to have esteem issues or maybe it was a true, and he was a fool.

He looked at her, his devious grin not wavering. He approached her, and whispered in her ear. “Two over easy eggs over white rice” He then swiftly got himself up. He looked down at her. “I`ll be right back” he said plainly as he flew to the backroom. He couldn’t just give in to his every impulse. She knew how gorgeous she was, and how delicious she tasted. Just the thought of it made him thirsty. He pictured her breasts on the table, and how her shorts made her round ass even more delectable and her long legs…. He went on in his head what he loved about the woman, starting by the physical components.

He wasn’t gone long. He arrived before she could even think of darting off as he set her plate down in front of her. Just… what she ordered and Ben had his own plate ready.

“What a crummy service, making me get the food”
He scoffed as he sat down beginning to eat his noodles.
