Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

"Oh, get the hell out of the way already!"

A obnoxious sounding voice screamed loudly out of her car window. Her window rolling all the way down Anael stuck her head out and screamed again. "I know you're Asian but get a move on!" She put her head back into the car and gripped the wheel. Her teeth bare as she continued waiting for the idiot in front of her to move. It didn't take long for the car in front of her to finally get a move on, letting Anael speed through the light. Making it to the parking garage next to the Kogano Financial Center, she put it into park and stepped out. Her clothing for the day was a simple white low cut v-neck shirt that had quarter length sleeves. For her bottoms, she wore black shorts that were just about mid thigh length. Her shoes were simple flip flops, nothing to snazzy. Anael was only there because her employer told her to get acquainted with the area. Seeing as though Anael was brand new to Niwa, she would have to spend some time everywhere to get the hand of things. Why not start with the up tight people first. At least this way, she wouldn't be disappointed in the end.

Making her way down through the parking garage she hit the streets. Men in suits and ties, carrying brief cases and talking on their cell phones. Oh, Anael was not dressed correctly to be here in this part of town. She debated on turning around and heading back...but she sucked it up. What could honestly go wrong, right? With a sigh, she began her way heading north. Looking at all the buildings, getting a good since of what the area looked like and what the buildings names were.

She bumped into someone roughly, knocking their brief case out of his hand. Looking back she glanced at him. His hands flying into the air he looked at her. Anael chuckled. "Watch where you are going then." She turned away and continued her walk.

"What the fuck am I doing here?!" She screamed loudly, her hands moving behind her head, rubbing against her neck.

A gloved hand lifted up and slides back through his blonde hair as he just exhales slowly. He looks past the lenses of his sunglasses as he watched the girl scream into the air. He then lifts his hand up, his gloved finger behind held back by another. When her chin rested at a normal level, she'd see the hand before the flick hit her square between the eyes. He sighs softly and looks back to her. "Children..." His voice was soft, calm. Something uneasy was in the air about him. "Children shouldn't play around like a bad ass where people work. They may just call the cops to get you out of their hair."

His voice cut off at the end of his sentence, looking firmly at her as he lifts the hand up and slowly removes his sunglasses, folding them and placing them so they hung off the pocket of his white suit. It was incredibly clean given where he was. His navy turtleneck could be seen sticking up just high enough to compliment his uniform-like appearance. He looked very disciplined and emotionless. His blue eyes just scanned her as if taking in information.

Before she could react, she felt the pressure of someone flicking her in the forehead. ‘W-who…’ she stepped back and looked at the man. She had been away from civilization for such a long period of time, all at once she forgot just how stupid people could really be. Children...as if she were a child. Patience was one thing that Anael did not have, she was not a calm kind of person. Who was this man to touch her like that. “I'm sure you understand when I say I don't need permission from” she looked up and down the man, seeing him wearing a white suite, made her laugh hysterically. “you, to speak my mind, you prick” Biting down on her lip she took a deep breath. ‘Just…don’t make a scene.’ Anael thought as she moved her hand up towards the man, and pushing him aside.

“You should step aside, wouldn't want to get your pretty white suit dirty." She evil laugh, she began to walk past him, holding her hands behind her back as she continued laughing. "Hurry off to your wedding now." She turned from him, and lifted up her hands. As she had shoved him away she grabbed the glasses that were in his jacket pocket and put them over her eyes. 'At least I got a nice pair of sun glasses out of that..' She thought, moving along the sidewalk, her hair moving back and forth across her back.

He sighs when he feels her push him. He didn't even resist, stepping back from her push and watches her with his cold eyes. He shakes his head slowly and pulls out a phone. He holds down a button until it dials. He waited before checking his watch for the time.

"NCPD, what is your emergency?"

"I'd like to report a theft." He measures his hand a bit. "About 5'5-5'9, Red to Maroon Hair, Red eyes. Appears to be Caucasian. Stole Oakley Iridium Sunglasses. Polished Steel Black." He went on to describe what clothes she was wearing and how they could contact him back. He then hangs up after giving them the details. "Children shouldn't play with fire."

If it was one thing that Anael hated, was the cops. This little boy was to chicken shit to come take his glasses away from her so he called the police. Sighing she stopped in her tracks, and turned around. He faced away from her, giving her the opportunity to move back towards him without him seeing. Taking the glasses off she tucked them down into her shirt, between her chest and reached her arm out and grabbed him by the back of the neck. "To scared to take them back yourself? I'm going to be giving them a reason to take me to prison, now." She lifted him off the ground with ease and tossed him to the side, throwing him about ten feet between a building. He'd be able to catch himself, and not fall to the ground but she made sure to get to him quickly she pushed him up against the wall. Her other hand smacking his phone away from his hand.

"Are you a pussy or something, white tux man?" She cocked her head to the side, holding his body up against the wall. Anael didn't used much of her strength to hold him a few inches off the ground. Once he began to struggle, is when she would actually try. "Sad you lost your precious sunglasses?"

He was thrown and fell. He didn't catch himself or attempt to do anything agressive. She grabbed him by the neck again and lifted him up to the wall, knocking his phone from his hand. He breathes in and out slowly, not resisting. With how she was holding him, she'd see the nasty scar around his neck, having moved him so it was noticeable. It wrapped almost completely around, giving it the look like his head was almost decapitated.

He exhales slowly and waits. "Are you so big and tough you have to shove people to walls? Try to assert your authority over them?" He looks down at her with his blue eyes. "You know who tries acting tough and being a rebel? Children." He moves his hand up and grabs her wrist. He wasn't pulling her away or struggling, he just held his hand over her wrist. "You'd think that someone cuter would be bothering me today."

He shakes his head. "You don't seem to get how the world works. There are those with power, those with money, those without money and power, and then there's the punks. Children who act like they have power so they can increase their money. People who love to see the pain and anguish on people's faces for a few bucks. Everyone else follows rules. What makes you so damn special? The fact you can lift me off my feet? The fact that you can steal things from people and then get angry when they do something about it? You're nothing but a child, all the way through. Throwing a tantrum because you can't get your way."

Anael laughed, oh how she could just break his face in right now. Giving him the right to speak to her was a gift she was giving him. Looking up at him, she raised her hand up and grinned. "I'm not sure what I wasn't getting, the reason that this start was because.." She bare her teeth to him and raised her voice a bit. "..WHO FLICKS SOMEONE?! Honestly!" She tightened her grip, not at first noticing the large scar across his neck. "You talk about being childish, why would you fuck with someone that do--" Then she noticed it, swallowing hard, she released him. Letting him hit the ground before she gripped the piece of clothing that wrapped around his neck and ripping it completely off. Anael's eyes went wide as her mind took her back to that moment on the island.

Eyes blurred, barely seeing the man holding her up, keeping her stable. The feeling of a sharp tip touching the right side of her neck. "Thanks for the good time." A voice echoed before the sight of his hand brought the blade from one side of the girls neck, to the other. Blood pooling...
so much blood...
no...

"So much..." Anael caught herself before she continued speaking. Her hand had grasped onto her own neck, rubbing it and smearing the make up. Exposing her own scar, that she covered extremely well. Looking away from the man she stepped back a bit more and closed her eyes. She was just trying to forget that entire thing happened, and the fact that just by seeing someone else with a scar across their neck brought that memory back pissed her off. She waved her hand into the air and pressed her lips together.

"Just go.." Her voice was low, not as angry as it had seemed before; it was more of a pleading sound. Like there should have been a please behind the statement.

He listens, he waits. He took her verbal abuse and then she noticed his scar. He winced when she tore the clothing enough for her to see it. He was going to comment, but it looked like horror flashed through her eyes. He stood there after she let him go. He saw her fiddling with her own neck and noticed a similar scar. He'd probably regret this, but he steps forward and grabs the girl's arm. With the slight motion of his feet, he pulled her to him. His arms then wrapped around her as he held her in a soft embrace.

She may seem to be a bad ass, but that look, that memory she must have. Their situations may not be the same, but he knew that feeling of life passing by from such a wound. His arms just held her in a soft and gentle hug. As if his way to say 'everything is gonna be alright' to her.

Anael was not expecting what had just happened. First an arm grab, that she could have easily pulled away from, then an embrace that she was...not needed. Both of her arms stayed to her side as the man held onto her, her body staying cold to his warm touch. The scar around his neck seemed to go all the way around, not stopping as hers did. It was as if someone tried to decapitate him, and either failed or...Anael shook her head trying not to think of such a grizzly action. The hug seemed to last forever, but Anael seemed stuck in a paralyzed state, why would he do that to her after she had basically treated him like a rag doll.

She hadn't been embraced like that in over five years...

What was that feeling...a heart beat...

"G-get off me!" She finally spoke, her hands raising up and pushing him away from her. It was a gentle push, but got him off of her. Her face was a bright shade of red as she composed herself. "You don't know me! I could have done this to myself, you just don't know!" For Anael it was as if her feet felt planted to the ground. The police would be arriving soon...she'd need to get out of there fast. Why would he do that..it didn't make any since to her at all.

He lifts his hand up, having recovered the sunglasses at that point. "I don't think it matters if I know you or not. I know that look. If you want to claim you did it to yourself, that's between you and whatever god you believe in. I'll believe in that fact that you didn't and for that.. I'm sorry for what the world has done to you." He slips his sunglasses on and looks at her. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small card, offering it to her. "Dick Kingsley. If you want to talk... about anything. Give me a call. The number is under personal on the card." With how bright his eyes were, the shades made them almost seem white.

He made sure she took it before shooing her off. "The cops will be coming soon. You should go."
